I love Kevin Costner. He approaches his work with relentless commitment and it shines throughout all of his movies. I sense that especially in directing, he puts himself wholeheartedly in the project and the experience of it. And his shy and unsure part of himself, I believe leads him to experiencing these wonderful magical and unexpected roads of life, where he finds things that are so immersive to his soul. I have huge respect for his incredible tenacity and willingness to go to places where a lot of men do not dare go to nowadays. Kevin said that all of his professional achievements are because of hard work yet there lays an undeniable greatness in him which seems effortless - that's the Kevin magic. You can tell by is role choices that he loves stories with depth and richness, stories of true human spirit: compassion, humility, hope and thirst for living. His greatness lays in his gratitude and appreciation for all there is and can be. I often listen to his music which gives my soul solace, comfort and inspiration. What a wonderful gift we have been blessed with - Kevin and what he shares with us. Thank you Mr Costner. Your dedication is recognised by many of us. The beauty of your nature and your heart has given us many stunning pieces of your work. 💓💓💓
Kevin Costner, you are the best actor in Hollywood! Your intense work ethic, the way you choose your movies, you make them all so great! I love how you answer the questions from these people, never letting them trip you up!!!!! Love it!!!! Love you!
His collaboration with Eastwood was legendary. Love him in films like No Way Out, Revenge, The Untouchables, Robin Hood, 3000 Miles to Graceland, WaterWorld or Wyatt Earp
I noticed a comment from someone that said Gene Hackman was so underated yet I would say that Kevin Costner is one of the most Under Stated actors ... so natural with no over done drama Field of Dreams ... my 2 sons watched that movie before they were teenagers and both said it was the best movie they had ever seen .. now that was a long time ago .. 1989... and a hell of a statement from 2 young boys ... loving Yellowstone by the way
I bet he is a very serious man to work for & with, I don't see a fun man, I see a very serious, hard working man with a very dry sense of humour. I really like quite a few of his films I must say but, there are two that I genuinely love. Dances with Wolves (the extended version is the only one I watch) to me is in the top 20 films ever made within Hollywood. Open Range really hits hard in the Western genre and I have always felt that Kevin & Robert Duvall were like an old married couple that were made to be best friends forever.
Yes please do a Bull Durham sequel ..Crash Davis as a coach seems completely plausible..get Tim Robbins back as a rival coach to spark some comedic tension with Sarandon still as Costner’s wife..love that film
I like Kostner honesty and warmth towards his co stars, a down to earth guy. I great actor and a great Director. I would like to see him direct again, just not another western.
Mr.Costner has made incredible films like JFK,The Untouchables,3000 Miles to Graceland,Tin Cup,Dances With Wolves .No Way Out.Field Of Dreams,Silverado.American Flyers.
Omg Kevin Costner just gets sexoer as he gets older I luv every thing he's been in but one movie that spoke to me and it was like he's hand came through the screen and pulled my heart in was message in a bottle and I can so relate to Dragonfly I lost my soulmate and I swear he was talking to me for yrs after he died and stil helps me in my choices
Field Of Dreams is one of my favorite movies EVER!!! I've always been a Kevin Costner fan, always. I also LOVE the movie Dragonfly. He is so humble and AUTHENTIC.❤~APRIL LIPKE
Kevin Costner has always been one of my favorite leading actors. Along with Tom Cruise, Tom Hanks, and Jack Nicholson, Costner films dominated the 1980's & early 1990's movie scene. He is still doing quality work including the hit Western city Yellowstone! My favorites with him are Field of Dreams & The Untouchables.
"What goes unsaid between father and son" I couldn't have said it better. Shouldn't be surprised it being said from the star of the movie, but it's true. Don't ever leave the best of words unsaid to your father/son.
I usually don't get scared watching "R" movies. stuff like Nightmareon could not, would not die on my shift!!! In all fairness, every one of his movies has been excellent౨'!'; And let's faß😚😈🦁🐒🐒e it , the man is one of a kind!
I wrote the author of Shoeless Joe which became the movie Field of Dreams. He name is Bill Kinsella. I asked him to inscribe and sign a ex libre for my son who played baseball. I asked him to sign it, "Its not about baseball". Many people think the movie is about baseball or that field. Its not at all. Its about missed opportunities and redemption in life. The last scene breaks me up every time.
Kevin Costner is that kind of actor, where if you see him talking in an interview like this, you won't be like, "wow, he is nothing like his characters." Which happens with Daniel day Lewis. Keven is a mood, attitude and temperament actor, but he is never lost, kind of like Christopher Walken.
To me Dances with Wolves is the most amazing masterpiece ive ever seen. And part of me would love a sequel for it but i know it would ruin it. But Bull Durham would definitely make a great sequel with crash and Meat being rival coaches or something, with sarandon the continual love interest.
There was a sequel to the Dances With Wolves book, called The Holy Road. It was a bit of a letdown, and I don't think it would have made for a good movie.
Crash Davis made it to the bigs. The greatest 21 days of his life. You hit white balls in batting practice and the women all have long legs and brains...........
Me too, I think Bull Durham 2 would be funny as hell, haven't seen No Way Out, He really hasn't made a bad movie, For Love of the Game was great, but my favorite movie with Costner has to be JFK
It's nice to hear the host and KC say they both really like 'Hoosiers'. I remember reading somewhere that Hackman didn't like doing that movie, and didn't agree with some of the direction and/or writing of the movie AND was surprised that it got such good reviews. Personally, I (too) think it's terrific, and sometimes (in life) we participate in things that seem meaningless and/or stupid to us when we really are just unable to see the bigger picture importance of what we're a part of and would be better off to just acknowledge it as such. I hope Gene Hackman can see that about 'Hoosiers' (and his involvement in it). He was the perfect guy to play Norman Dale.
@@arthurbishop3173 Just like how Burt Reynolds didn't enjoy doing Boogie Nights. Even though it's probably the best performance of his career and really revived his career after a long slump.
It’s interesting that he thinks Crash would be a coach. Not a manager, which would be knee jerk casting. Being between players, managers and front office has much more dramatic possibility.

I'm glad that Kevin talked about the making of "No Way Out" and working with the great Gene Hackman, who is now retired from acting.
His collaboration with Eastwood was legendary. Love him in films like No Way Out, Revenge, The Untouchables, Robin Hood, 3000 Miles to Graceland, WaterWorld or Wyatt Earp
One of the best actor ever.
No Way Out is criminaly underrated
who can forget robin hood and not to mention Kevin Costner ?

And he forgot that he also worked with Sean Connery in Robin Hood as well… He was the king in the end

A gift? Really? He's an actor. Penicillin was a gift.
@@crashburn3292 No, Penicillin was a scientific discovery.
Costner is such a great guest. His stories are mesmerizing.
Field of Dreams ending and realizing the moment that one should just to play catch with his father. Hits me every time...
Bull Durham and No Way Out have always been excellent, have watched 'em countless times.
Costner's has played in so many great movies. I would have to say No Way Out and Dances With Wolves are my favorites.

He was perfect in Bull Durham......natural
No Way Out was fascinating.
He's had a great career...But that moment with Gene Hackman making a small comment like that must stand out as one of the highlights...
Mr. Brooks 2 would be the one I would want to see.
lol

Postman s a good movie! Kevin s a great actor!
No Way Out happens to be one of my all time favorites👍

I still think "Perfect World" was his best acting ever --- although "Dances with Wolves" and "Field of Dreams" are right up there, too
Kevin: and that's a fact and that's a threat I believe your beginning to know the difference🤣🤣

Water world 2 🙈🙈🤣
He didn't mention burt lancaster? 🙄🤔What, I'm sorry but gene Hackman as good as he is, is a few places below burt lancaster in the acting stakes!
Shounds like he'sh been shpending too much time with Sean Connery.
Ron Shelton was good directing Bull Durham but he directed some comedy in NM a couple years ago with Morgan Freeman and Tommy Lee Jones and it sucked.
