    Just 5 minutes of this video has told me more than any cardiologist has told me in a half an hour.
    I’m on social security but there’s no doubt in my mind your course will help me control my afib that sometimes goes into RVR that feels horrifying.
    I will budget for this course, positive it’s going to give me back my life.
    Thank you, Dr.

    Had afib RVR almost a year ago may 22…. It was quite an experience and went from minimal health history to having cardiac history and quite an adjustment. Now I’m struggling to workout like I used to and can hardly maintain a pulse over 115 or I’m seriously feeling it and have to tone it down… I enjoy your videos and feel more informed. We women need more studies on us so we are more informed

    Thanks Dr. I get AFib with RVR, pulse about 105 bpm. My go to solution is vigorous exercise maintaining pulse > 130 bpm for 10-15 minutes. For me this works 90% of the time. It's very useful to wear a sports watch that monitors your pulse.

    When I have an episode of Afib with RVR it feels like a heart attack. I can't breathe well, pounding chest pain, dizziness and chills. My heart docs manage it with Multaq and Metoprolol and the combination seems to work well.

      Have you been hospitalized because of it? Have you had long episodes? I just went to ER 3 days ago for Afib with RVR and a pulse around 180BPM. No prior incidents and completely out of the blue. Very freaked out. Trying to wrap my mind around if I was about to die or if it was “just” a serious issue. I felt like I was about to die but they released me the same day after they shocked my heart.

    Super informative video! Thank you! 3 1/2 years under cardiologist care and never new that I had AVR as well as low AFIB. I’m being treated with pill in a pocket routine, as well as a member of your program, diet, yoga, cardio exercise but having many low episodes a week. And instructed to not take meds unless over 100, most of the time I can convert without meds in a few minutes or few hours. How dangerous is it to have so many episodes even for short periods of time?

    • @DrAFib
      @DrAFib  Год назад +2

      Glad that you found it informative! Only your doctor can test you for your frequency and answer your question about dangerous. In general, episodes with lower heart rates are usually less dangerous then high heart rates.

    I'm 36, I just experienced Afib with RVR drinking a frozen drink and was hospitalized for 2 days. Any research on this? I've never had heart problems in my life. Scariest thing ever.

      Any updates. I’m the same age, and was just taken to the ER 3 days ago. Had Afib with RVR with a pulse around 180BPM. Not prior known Afib or other heart issues. Completely out of the blue. Have you had anymore episodes? Seen a cardiologist? I’m completely freaked.

    • @MollyF86
      @MollyF86 Год назад

      @@Ryan-sn6gn just saw this. No episodes since that one. It's weird because it's triggered by frozen substances. I don't have any structural heart issues. No one can explain this. It seems to only happen in the elderly.
      What was your experience?

    • @debrabeckman6440
      @debrabeckman6440 5 месяцев назад

      @@MollyF86 I've had 2 episodes triggered by frozen drinks. I'm 64, and this started for me when I was in my mid 50's. AFIB sort of runs in my family, but I had never heard of cold drinks causing it and neither had either cardiologist I consulted. I now think it is likely related to something that happens with the Vagus nerve system because I 'felt' the 'cold' move down my chest each time. My heart wasn't affected or damaged, but I required cardioversion each time to correct it.

    Had Afib w/rvr, first time @the age of 54. My pulse was 229, taken in the ER. Was asked if i wanted the paddles or the meds! Very scary! My symptoms were terrible, all but passing out (which i had two episodes of in my early twenties). I was short of breath, confused, could not complete full sentences, my heart felt like it was beating out of my chest not to mention dizzy. I took the meds not knowing what to expect. After two shots it converted me back to sinus rhythm. But then my bpm went down to the 30 -40s . I have had a loop recorder for the last year and a thyroid test, which was normal. I have had three SVTs in the last four months and am in my 30s when i sleep. Because of my RA, it is hard to exercise. Last August was at my EP. He never said anything to me but had put on my paperwork SSS. I feel like a yo-yo . My heart goes out to anyone who has or is experiencing these types of situations. I go back next month in April and am hoping something can be done for me. And the only medication i take is Lisinopril 5mg. They will give me nothing as far as medication goes, ive asked repeatedly. I apologize for the long rant, thank you for taking the time to read all of it. Best of luck to all of you!

      Yes, that could be the case when Afib happens in the Atrial chamber which can be much much faster than your pulse rate at the time.
