    Afib started 10 years ago, I'm 75. Began with an episode about every three months for no apparent reason and lasted from 1 to 12 hours. My cardiologist prescribed Flecanide, 100 mg, twice a day. Two years ago, the episodes became shorter and fewer in number. It has now been over 10 months since my last afib episode.
    Can't explain it, my afib problem seems to be going away.

      I'm happy you are doing very well. My father says he never notices his afib now where previously, he had some minutes or hours. Apparently, he didn't realize there was afib the doctor office: he was told it was in afib that moment.
      I think he's doing very well and is 81 now.

    last year I had an ablation and cardioversion after two years of being in asymptomatic permanent afib. Lifestyle changes has been helping me. I've only had two episodes since and the way I overcame it was by getting enough electrolytes: magnesium, potassium and salt, with lots of water. I'm on the carnivore diet now and dropped even more weight, which also helps a lot. Exercise a lot, walk, run, lift! eat clean and get your electrolytes.

      Potassium helps me a lot but exercise tends to trigger it regardless.

    I had AFib for 18 months, having been exposed to a triple-vaxed person who is close in my life . I never took the vaccination and neither did I ever have Covid but there I was- living with AFib. I was in the ER on 10 occasions but always discharged back to my Doctor. In the end and in desperation I sought the services of a Homeopath who, after a two hour consultation, prescribed a remedy. My symptoms increased dramatically over a period of five days and then, quite suddenly, they disappeared and, six months later, I have yet to have a heart beat that is out of rhythm.

      I was vegan for about 10 years when I was much younger and that diet is very deficient in a lot of things and not healthy for the long term unless you have a particular metabolism. I almost died from that diet and who knows? Maybe that's what set me up for having a fib now!

    My AFIB started in 2019 and by this year had increased from a frequency of once every 4 months to twice a week. I had slightly high blood pressure and am over 65 and I like to drink alcohol. I already ate well and I'm fairly fit. Starting two years ago I improved my diet further, eliminating mexican and Indian foods for instance and I reduced my alcohol (stopping it made no difference)... I also exercised more. However Exercise became one of the main triggers of AFIB and none of these efforts correleated with afib reduction. I don't have sleep apnea btw. Having bought a wearable to monitor my body and also the Kardia 6-way I began to watch what was happening to me and purposefully relax or withdraw from exercise when things started going up. No improvement up to June. I should also mention stress - I had greatly reduced my stress in recent years but perhaps there's always underlying stress in everyones lives. I also refused to take anti-coagulants. Suddenly I have not been getting AFIB - 68 days and counting - I get the 140 pulse spikes sometimes (which used to signal AFIB) but in a second I'm back to normal. The only thing that changed in this period is that having stopped taking one blood pressure medicine (HCTZ) and seeing my BP stay at 134/82, I then halved my other (losartin) and my blood pressure has reduced to 120-130 over 78... go figure. I can't explain it but I'm very pleased. AFIB knocked me out (Apparently because I have a healthy heart)

      Take 400 mg or 500 mg of magnesium glycolate daily. Only sold on line.
      The magnesium sold in drug stores will give you very looose stools.

    After 2 separate AFIB events ( 3 months apart); AFIB is gone ! Background;
    66 year old male, on metoprolol. Not a diabetic , After the second event; became a 100 % vegetarian, eliminated all dairy products- milk, cheese, beer, liquor, went from drinking 4-5 cups of black caffeinated coffee ( no milk or sugar) to only one cup of decaffeinated coffee( yes ; this was hardest ; decaf is bland, but has been worth it.) Exercise program;
    Walk 4-5 miles ,4- 5 times a week; or use concept 2 rower ; do 5000-10,000 meters 1-2 times per week; or use concept ski Erg machine ( 1 minute intervals at 60 seconds alternate with 1 minute intervals 60 Seconds on Assault bike with 1 min rest for 5- 6 sets, or do 5-6 sets of Tabata high intensity workout-on rowing machine : goal is to get 850 per set. Bty: I now weigh 255. Now want to tweak my diet to reach goal weight of 225 @ 6’2 by my 67 birthday
