Elin, I vote for you to be 'Father of the Year' for what you are doing for your son Nick! Nick, in moments of quietude, meditate on what your father is gifting you. He is graciously sharing his knowledge and expertise with you. His work ethic should inspire you in whatever profession you choose later in life. BE GRATEFUL to him!
Those new wheels look wonderful Nick, I know that you will already be loving those! (If they’re to wide then get a refund and go for the same design in 6j)
I'm not a fan of poly bushings. I put them in my TJL Jeep and you feel every little crack in the road. The nice thing is the steering is must more accurate. With a press it really doesn't matter which bushings you use. In my '74 Alfa Romeo Spider I used factory rubber and I'm happy with them. Wow the lift is sure nice.
Elin - You can still use the larger anti-roll bar. Just make up some spacer blocks to go under the "U" strap mounting points and then bolt it all together to the frame. Nothing says the "U" strap has to be mounted directly to the frame. The anti-roll bar just needs solid mounting points. With your skills, this shouldn't be more than a 1/2-hour job.
Tell Nick to buy a garden sprayer and some mineral oil and spray the underside of the Miata. Repeat every autumn and they'll be no more rusty troubles.
I was looking forward to the next Miata video and if the bits shown this time round had been properly edited it might have been quite enjoyable. Unfortunately that was not to be!! Elin you might want to consider that complacency is the thief of subscribers!
The car should be painted Red AND White…. copy the scheme used on the Lotus Elan Special Edition tribute to the F1 Lotus Gold Leaf race team from the 70s / early 70s. After all the Miata / MX5 is a copy of the Elan. Maybe you can call the car a Mazda Elin ? Those wheels are all wrong however…. abandon them right now…. Just No….
Elin, I’ve had an idea so please indulge me on this one: ( Now that you are completely self employed you cannot and should not, afford the time to rebuild your GT6) I personally have been looking at it for at least five years now. Consequently my idea is this: SELL IT NOW for top dollar “complete roadworthy fully finished condition” but keep it in house and fully rebuild it on the channel for the new owner. You could arrange stage payments and spare no improvements to eventually give the new owner a beautiful car whilst also giving you the content we all want, as well as bringing in necessary income that you and your family need. Sorry Elin, but it’s got to be done.
Excellant work Nick....your Dad is an Artist, looking forward to what the future holds for both of you
Great efforts and work, Nick👍👍

Zoom zoom ! Very cool, I love Miata's. I like the green.
She’s looking great Nick
Maybe the caliper won't come off the pin because there's a lot of grease in there and it's creating a vacuum when you pull on it. Great work.

Lots of work completed even though it took awhile...just 30 minutes for us viewers! 😂
😎😎😎👍👍👍nice
Paint the car the classic Miata white.
Vs. "arrest me" red.
You will also save $ on pigment.
