    People who are out to make a quick buck will not have repeat customers and constantly have to look for new customers.

    Items that customer returned back to Home Depot, do they get ship back to the manufacturers or go straight to liquidations?

    • @ForeMoney
      @ForeMoney  3 года назад +1

      Every item has different restrictions on returns. There are some items that get returned to manufacturer, but most items go in the general liquidation pile. A lot of the items I find in the home depot pallets are house brands like Ryobi. For example, this drill is very common with Homedepot customer returns: amzn.to/3yvqM7y
      its actually a nice drill, but i've seen it in liquidations pallets quite a bit.

    Dude. I think I bought from that dude. He is in Spring Branch near San Antonio now. If you notice the home depot stickers. All the ones he had for sale individually had red Home Depot stickers. The pallet I got had yellow and green HD stickers. What do the stickers mean? Someone from HD educate us please.

      I wouldn't be surprised, he's probably jumping around. I also wouldn't be surprised if its someone else too. There are a ton of dishonest sellers out there. I come across them all the time. So i've come to find out what the colors mean. The green means its probably in excellent shape, the yellow means to use your better judgement and the red means trash or salvage. These colors are determined by the home depot employees during a customer return. If i saw a pallet of all green stickers i would buy it. This is what I know now that i wish i knew then. Stay far away from red...

    How do you even buy the returns . Is there a way to get the pallets with out buying them from random marketplace people ?

    • @ForeMoney
      @ForeMoney  3 года назад +4

      Thanks for watching. You can buy direct from Home Depot or any major retailer, but you need to have contracts to purchase these truckloads weekly. Sometimes even multiple trucks. That's the only way you can "guarantee" that nobody has picked through them. You have to have a business and space for all that. The next best thing is to buy from someone who buys from them (retailers) direct. So that makes you second in line... This guy that i bought from was probably about 4th or 5th in line, making me probably 6th in line, and trying to sell the left over "junk" to the final end consumer. That's a big time lose-lose situation. Always ask for a manifest or at least a retail value per pallet. If they say they dont have it, then they are either not buying direct from the source, or they already picked through it and dont want you to see that there are missing items. Best thing is to Google liquidators in your area, or check out liquidation.com or bulq.com. I have never bought from them, but they are pretty reputable.

      Hi, Jesus. Thanks for watching my video. I would say the best deals you will find are going to be from local sources. Wherever you live, check the facebook marketplace and google wholesalers in your area. Of course you can always find sources outside of your area, but shipping will always be a big factor. The closer you are to a source, the cheaper it will be. Most of my sources are within 50 miles of me, so shipping and delivery is usually pretty good, most times I just pick it up myself. I wish I could just tell you where to go and who to buy from and what they have available, but its going to be different for everyone depending where you live. I know liquidation.com and bulq.com have truckloads and pallets to sell, but i personally have not purchased from them. I have never purchased home depot pallets other than the 1 on this video, I try to stick to sporting goods mostly. from time to time ill venture off and try other stuff. Thanks again for watching

    Well, i know some people who do that same thing, they sell palets like $700 to $1,200 and they have a shop. They are doing the same think that you are describing. Now you make me think. Maybe is the same store.
    They say that they check the pallets to tell you what tools work and what is missing in thr box, now that you post this videos. I am thinkig, why are they checking the tools if they are selling the pallet, they do not need to check what tools are working if they are selling the pallet how it is. Right?

    • @ForeMoney
      @ForeMoney  3 года назад

      Jhon, you do have some good points and observations. There is a way to sell individual tools and also sell pallets. You have to be clear and transparent with what is in the pallets. If someone sees you selling pallets and individual tools, they will be suspicions. But if someone is selling individual tools, but the pallets are manifested and very clear, then I will feel much better about the purchase. Kind of like buying in bulk with a discount. I highly doubt anyone who sells individual tools and pallets is not already going through the pallets first. If they are selling tools on the side and also saying these other pallets are untouched, I will NOT believe them anymore. A huge company usually will not take the time to sort everything out in a pallet. A small guy in a storage unit will probably sit there and figure out what he can sell individually (working tools) and sell the other stuff (non working tools) in bulk pallets. Not saying that everyone does it, but it is a business and no one is leaving money on the table for someone else. Thanks for watching, hope this helps.

      Homedepot, Lowes, Amazon and Walmart pallets are the easiest pallets to find. Just check the facebook marketplace for "pallets" and you find a bunch of them there. Depending on what area you are in, you will find a lot. The Houston area is full of wholesale liquidation sellers and resellers. Probably too much if you ask me... If you are good with fixing tools, then its probably a good deal for you. If you just want to resell as is, maybe it wont be so good for you. The most accessible pallets are home depot, amazon, walmart, and lowes. It is difficult to not get burned if you are buying only 1 pallet. They only way to actually not get burned is to find a local source that is trustworthy or buy the whole truckload. Buying the whole truckload is the easiest way to not get burned, but it does cost a lot. a truck of home depot or lowes can cost anywhere from $2,800 to $9000. just depends if its salvage or even online returns. I only buy local. I would suggest to go see a pallet dealer in person and use the tips from this video to make sure they are not scamming you. check the local facebook marketplace for sellers as well. or check out liquidation.com or bulq.com. I have never used them, but i do know they sell truckloads of a lot of stuff, plus shipping. which is why i recommend to buy local. Thanks for watching.

      The best place is to check your local facebook marketplace. That way you can avoid the shipping cost because these things are expensive to ship if you just buy 1. You can also check liquidation.com or bulq.com.

    Thanks for the tips. Am I going to have a hard time getting started if I don't have any reviews? How can have customers buy from me with confidence if I am new to the business?

    • @ForeMoney
      @ForeMoney  3 года назад +2

      Hi, Helen. Thanks for watching. It will get easier over time, you just have to get started and build trust with each customer. The best policy is to be honest with everything you do. If you're going to be selling on Ebay, Craigslist, Facebook, or even at a garage sale or flea market, you have to be honest with everything. You have to take good pictures of everything, write a good description. Even if what you are selling is completely broken, as long as the seller knows exactly what they are buying, and both of you are on the same page, you will be ok.
      Where do you plan to sell mostly? Online?

      @@ForeMoney Thanks for quick response. I’m looking at a pallet from a local liquidation store. My plan is to utilize FB market and maybe eBay but was told shipping can be rough with eBay. The owner at the liquidation store, who just opened his business says he has a list of places he’ll give me where it’s best to sell-says if he helps me succeed, he will succeed because I’ll be back for more pallets. Sounds legit, right? He sells 75% of his pallets for $470. One of the red flags you mentioned is he does have open bin sells and he has shelves of units individually for sale that he also sells in his pallets. It’s tricky, but I think it’s worth giving a shot since I can’t find employment.

    • @ForeMoney

      @@i.helenszulewski9254You are right about shipping. Unless it small with high value, the shipping will eat your profits. Plus ebay fees and capital gains tax as well. If you buy an item for lets say $25 and sell it on ebay for $75. assuming you offer free shipping ($10 to $15 from your pocket), plus ebays approximate fees of 15%. you will profit about $20 to $25 after taxes. If you sell that same item locally you can avoid the shipping and fees. Still have to pay capital gains tax, but thats for you to decide how to handle your personal taxes. As far as the liquidation guy, its good that you are buying local, just be careful with what you are buying. Glad you pointed out the red flag that he sells the same items individually on the side. He will swear up and down that the pallets are untouched, but remember that people do this to make $. Yes he's right, if you succeed so does he, so he could be an honest guy and telling you thats how they came off the truck. If you can risk $470 one time, go for it. Trust your gut... If you make a profit and its worth your time, buy another one. If you lose money and ask him why that was the case, he's going to say maybe you got one of the "rare" bad pallets. I've been there, it happens, i've heard it all. Also ask him for a manifest. If they are all the same price, he either split them up and evened each pallet, or thats how they came and he's selling at an even price so its fair for everyone. Just in the end, be comfortable with your choice and make sure its worth your time. As far as where to sell... Heres the answer... Facebook, Craigslist, local flea markets and swap meets. Personally individual items on facebook sell well for me. Ebay is ok for high dollar items that dont weigh much and you are positive they are in working condition. or sell them as parts only...Good luck, keep me posted. Check out my other video where I give 4 great sales tips that i use while selling on Facebook. It doesn't let me link it here for some reason right now. =)

I thought though that you really can't be mad at that tho cause you may do the same, get your first pick! But we didn't like the idea that they had a store selling single items. That sounds like a red flag 🚩 but we are new so... Any way this video helped. Thanx!

      I have no issue with someone selling stuff on the side and in pallets. What usually happens is the seller lies about the origins of the pallet. I know for sure now in hind sight that these pallets are picked through and then resold. Glad I was able to help. Always trust your gut!

    That's were you messed up. NEVER buy pallets from personal sellers even if they have a seller's license and seem as legit as you are. The reality is every single reseller that buys and then resells whole pallets goes thru them and picks the good from the bad and if they tell you otherwise then rest assured they are lying. The return pallet game is only profitable if you buy from pallet auctions that are from the big corporations directly or go to a warehouse of a big corporation and buy them from them directly. For example only buy home Depot pallets from a home Depot warehouse or a home Depot rep at a big pallet auction sale. Also when you go to sell it do it item by item not the whole pallet. Even if your trying to be honest the whole pallet won't sell, serious resellers only purchase return pallets from a big name brand company because they know the information I'm sharing and they're not going to chance getting burned. Once you've purchased from the correct source just itemize the pallet and you'll have nice inventory that will sell. All you need to do this is a resellers license and space to store the merchandise of and obviously a truck to transport the pallets. I'm hope this helped

    Dude, quit all that crying. Obviously you got ripped off because you weren't paying attention. You clearly had zero idea what you were doing. I paid $2k for my first pallet and lost $600 -- nearly twice what you paid for that crappy little pallet. This isn't magic money, and your always gonna have to test and repair it you wanna maximize profit. Live and learn.
    Buyers: the only thing you should take from this video is to not be oblivious. Pay attention, deal with a reputable liquidator, and look before you leap, and you'll do fine.

    • @ForeMoney
      @ForeMoney  3 года назад +2

      Thanks for watching. And thanks for the tips. It wasn't a video to gripe or vent about getting burned, it was merely to warn others that there are resellers out there who will deceive you into buying something that its not. This was very early on in my wholesale liquidation journey. At the time, like most people starting out, we don't have reputable sources to buy from. This experience opened my eyes to the many risks of this business. Since then I only buy from sources I now trust. Seeing as how you got burned for $600 as well, I'm sure you appreciate tips from others as well as helping people who are just getting started. Yes at the time I was oblivious, not paying attention, not dealing with a reputable liquidator, but also eager to get started. Like you said its not magic money, but that's how you learn, from making mistakes.

    Doood. You baught from an individual on FB marketplace selling “return items” out of a storage unit....THAT WAS THE RED FLAG!!! 😂 of course you got burned! You buy liquidation pallets from venders, NOT from individuals. Anyone selling tools that are obviously new/unused on FB, CL, Offerup (the worst!), Letgo, etc. IS A LIAR! None of them are in the business of helping people save money! That doesn’t even make sense! “Facebook Marketplace”! The fuck outa here!😂
