🔮About Fortune🔮
Affable, charismatic and one of a kind, Fortune Feimster is a standup comedian, writer and actor who uses her confessional comedy to bring people together. Through laughter and storytelling, Fortune shows audiences of all ages, backgrounds, and sexual orientations that common ground is only a joke or two away.
She expands on that commonality with her hilarious new one-hour special Good Fortune now streaming on Netflix.
The North Carolina native began her ascent to popularity as a writer and panelist on E's hit show "Chelsea Lately." She then starred as a series regular on "The Mindy Project" for Hulu and on "Champions" and "Kenan" for NBC. She has logged a multitude of guest appearances on television shows, including "Claws," "Nora from Queens," "2 Broke Girls," "The L Word: Generation Q," "Workaholics," "Glee," and "Tales of the City." Audiences became even more familiar with Fortune through her recurring role as the popular character Dougie on CBS's "Life In Pieces."
Her movie roles include appearances in "Office Christmas Party," "Yes Day," "Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar," and "Father of the Year." And she's a voice actor, recently voicing the role of Evelyn on "The Simpsons" and Counselor Jerry in Pixar's "Soul" along with recurring characters Brenda on "Bless the Harts" for Fox, Ava on "Summer Camp Island" for the Cartoon Network, and Olive in the upcoming "Velma" on HBO Max.
Viewers really got to know Fortune through her first Netflix special, Sweet & Salty, which was nominated for a Critics Choice Award. With Good Fortune she expands further into her storytelling brand of comedy, hilariously delving into love, relationships, sexuality and shared experiences with Southern charm and the perspective of someone who grew up in the 1980s. She's your funniest cousin who isn't afraid to entertain the masses with tales of her good fortune, insecurities, and faux pas, including meeting her spouse in a parking lot, falling in love and her extravagant proposal that didn't quite go as planned.
Comedy fans can also find Fortune on the road. She tours the world with her unique style of standup comedy.
She's appeared as a guest on late-night including "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert," "Jimmy Kimmel Live," "Late Night with Seth Meyers," "Conan" and more. Her previous half-hour specials on Comedy Central and on Netflix's season one of "The Standups" led Decider to rave, "her presence is positively inspirational."
As a writer, Fortune has teamed with some of the industry's most outstanding talent. She created and starred in the Tina Fey-produced pilot "Family Fortune" for ABC. Steven Spielberg's production company, Amblin, also acquired two features Fortune wrote, "Bad Cop, Bad Cop" and "Field Trip." She is set to star in both.
She recently wrapped filming on a big Netflix action series with Arnold Schwarzenegger and she can currently be heard every morning on Sirius XM with Tom Papa on Netflix's "What A Joke with Papa and Fortune" radio show. She also hosts a weekly podcast with her wife, Jax, called "Sincerely Fortune."
Fortune has been building an innovative, inclusive, and unique career for more than 20 years. Be it on the road, her radio show, film, or television, her contagious and joyous comedy is touching lives and bringing us together daily. And with opportunities piling up as fast as punchlines, it's clear the determined and unflappable comedian is just getting started.
Yes, Fortune is everywhere so check out her tour to see if she's coming to a city near you! Приколы

I agree! He should do a pod with her to fill the Brendan Schaub sized void in his life. She's funny bro.
These two have the best southern chemistry. He appreciates her beauty.
Theo telling Fortune she was a beautiful woman but he didn’t know why he said that, it’s because you see her energy my guy 💛
Nah it because Theo's also a lesbian and real recognise real gang gang
😂😂😂😂@@jond661
He said the same thing when he first interviewed her. He's a sweet guy and she's a sweet gorgeous lady. They are a great duo...so natural and easy going with each other.
I’d eat it from the back if I’m being totally honest
She is a pretty lady. She's not about her looks so she down plays it.
I love the conversation between the two of you but mostly how organic and relaxed it was. Fortune is the sweetest person and kindest. Adore her. You guys bring the best out in each other.
I love Fortune - thanks for having her on. She has such a good energy.
this is a battle of the accents and odd responses I’m torched and here for it
How many people got bamboozled thinking this was theos new pod ? ... damn son, this is 4 years old !
Me!😂
Omg, I was wondering!
Agreed. This should be illegal.
No kidding! I thought the same damn thing! And four years old?! Holy shit! 😂 I’m going to see her in a few weeks so I just thought this was a promo-tour.
Me! 😂
The kid from Bad Santa- I'm dying 🤣
I instantly thought it was true when I pictured the boy in bad Santa and spit out my drink and then realized it was a joke lmao 🤣
The taser kid from Hangover lol
Theo has become one of the best psychologists. 😂❤
“it was following me around like a hot Ewok” is such a theo coded phrase
“That’s like Adele kinda” setting the dog on fire 😆
This Was one of the Best shows you’ve had . Excellent guest . Best of luck to Theo and Fortune
I was watching this thinking it was new 🤷🏼♀️ till she talked about being engaged. We all know she’s been married for awhile now. Oh well, it’s ok. I’ll watch whatever Fortune puts out. 💕
Her “new” Netflix special is HILARIOUS!! She talks about her wedding… and the pics are perfection.

Love her laugh, she was great in The Hangover, killed them taser scene.
I love this show. Love how real Theo keeps it. Wish I could be best friends with Theo. He is my all time favorite dude out there for sure! Reminds me of myself so much.
Theo has a knack for bringing out the best in his guests! I had already loved Fortune but I feel like Theo helped the listener know her even better
I feel like I just eavesdropped on the most genuine conversation between two friends. Engaging and fun. I loved this!
I love how they both are so natural and genuinely listen to each other ❤ many blessings to you both. So kind but so funny.
Theo and I ate 5 hits of blotter acid in high-school while his mom was on a boat trip through the everglades with some dude neighbor-and it was the strangest Sunday ever. By 8pm we were beating Muppets out of his house with pillows through the front door.
He also ate a moth or butterfly.
Next special should be called "Beating Muppets off with pillows"
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Moths and other things fly into the mouths of most people in the south.
IF THATS A TRU STORY U NEED A PODCAST IF IT AINT I BELIEVE IT ANYWAYZ😂🤣😭

I adore Fortune ❤
👏 absolutely loved this entire talk
People are complaining this a repost and are not liking it, however, I appreciate the post for I've never seen it before. Really enjoyed this post!
Feimsters a Belmont, NC gal, South Point High School Baby. I remember playing some tennis with her and Kristy Pope(passed away a month ago from cancer, RIP!) over at Davis Park and we laughed the entire time. She's always been funny, so glad she made it big. You go girl and where them Red Raiders at?
The face tattoo of a heart is in reference to the movie, Whatever Happened to Baby Jane. A story of what happens to child actors when they become adults.
Can tell this is an oldie based on the background mural in the studio.
Nonetheless, Theo would break the internet with an Amanda Bynes interview!
When they showed the picture of Amanda Bynes, I thought oh she doesn’t even look that bad. Because the recent pictures of her are really crazy I think she shaved eyebrows off and there are more face tattoos. She just looks…wild.
This one had me cracking up 😂😂
I love you and Theo! Y’all have such amazing chemistry. Also, my mom went to school with you! We’re from Belmont also!
Watching this now and them talking about Amanda Bynes since the Doc came out … them talking about her mental health and addiction not realizing the things she went through and why that happened .. they even acknowledge the effects of a child star 💔 we love u Amanda
I don’t think I’ve ever laughed this hard in my life!

We grew up in the same area. She’s a lil younger than me, but I like to pretend we’re friends…. I love her and her whole “thing”.
I first saw her in a show about a gym owned by brothers? She was an employee, and BY FAR the funniest cast member.
Wnc
Theo is some sort of savant. "Have you set a date for your wedding yet" Theo: you got 9 words Ronda. is he counting words like rainman?

Here description of friendship as a closeted lesbian as a child and young adult is so spot on, I identify so much with that, it took me till my late 30's and leaving a religion to finally admit to myself I as gay. I love Fortune, she is someone I look up to.
I ❤ them both
Yo that shirt is sweet! 🤙🏽
Soooo. . . What’s up w/ the lensless glasses?!
😂😂😂
I love fortune.
Y'all, serious question...what do you do if your kids have never had to struggle? I had a horrific childhood and severe CPTSD, which I didnt realize the full extent of until fairly recently. Bc of my childhood, I vowed to be the complete opposite from my parents and accidentally "spoiled" my kids by just being overly available and attentive, giving them too many choices/too much control, always supporting them, ensuring they never go without anything, fairly "gentle" patenting etc. On one hand, I feel like Im doing my absolute best, and they're good kids that do their chores, earn their privledges and are happy and healthy, but on the other, I'm often baffled by the small mindset and worldview of people who have just never suffered a day in their lives(their father is in the same boat lol). Ive suffered SO incredibly much, and I know it has made me stronger, more resiliant, ambitious, understanding, knowledgeable, grateful, selfless, kind, loving, patient, present, intentional, responsible, forgiving, funny, intelligent, etc. so truly, Im grateful for everything Ive been through. That said, I would like for my kids to develop some of these traits, but what am I supposed to do when their lives are just amazing and problem free, abuse them?! Lol its a very strange predicament to know that all your trauma made you a much better person while also raising kids that youd do anything to protect. Being too healthy, loved and cared for seriously just makes you a weaker person IME, and adversity always seems to be a main ingredient in the people who are strong, resilient, thriving, motivated and successful. I hated my parents/family so much that I had a plan in place by the time I was 10 to graduate by 15 and escape so I worked very hard to make that happen and am very glad I did. Now that I have teens myself, they love me so much that theyre like "why would I ever move out? Its just too great here!"😅 I am grateful and somewhat proud that they feel that way, but at the same time, it would be nice if they had just a bit more ambition, hardship and will to succeed on their own. At this point Im like "wait, am I supposed to be making them cry regularly or something?" Bc theyre just far too comfortable in life due to the fact that they know they'll always have me, the solver of all their worldy problems lol they also choose to be homeschooled so these softies don't even know what things like bullying or public embarassment are like😳🫠😅
Leading their scout troop is probably one of the hardest thing theyve ever done lol when my oldest was 10, one of her assignments was to write about the hardest thing shes ever been through and she wrote about sleeping by herself for the first time, at 10...it was clearly a very fresh "wound" for her🤦♀️😅
We need to see more of her
Honestly. Im just going to make this up.. fav couple.alert
