Who's ever complaining about how it looks in the after shots, can come help rake up the grass and clean up. You do a great service for many neighborhoods! More people need to help others out instead of complaining!

It's just because all of the leftover chopped grass lying on the ground makes it look bad, but Spencer is right - after a few days of wind and rain, the lawn will look green again.

Anyone complaining has not dealt with grass that tall. When it gets so long, the lower part of the stem is brown. It has to recover from losing 90% of its growth!

You're doing excellent work! Anyone complaining about how it looks after you finish should donate their time and come rake up the mulched grass to their satisfaction.
The work you do cleans up and makes a difference in the communities you work in one lawn at a time, you set an example we all can learn from to make a difference. Anyone who has the nerve to complain should get out there and make a positive difference in the communities they live in.
The people who are complaining that the grass isn't as green after are all completely uneducated. They don't understand how plants work nor softscaping. Pay no mind to their silly comments, 95% of people who say that kind of stuff wouldn't even consider doing a quarter of what you're doing with a team when being paid. You're doing it alone with no payment on your own time. You are fantastic my dude, keep it up!

I really can’t believe someone would think that that tall weedy grass looks better green than short and a little darker. I’m guessing they wouldn’t care the color if it was the yard beside them. Another great transformation by Spencer!
Mulching is great it is a natural fertilizer and better than taking it to the city dump. Keep up the great work also mowing the fall leaves is a great fertilizer too.

Spencer, good job. What a difference mowing a lawn makes. BTW - @ :50 you mentioned about the comments made because you mulch the grass into the yard instead of hauling it away ... how about doing a video where you show the lawns right after you are finished and then go back a few days later (especially if it has rained) and show the same lawns now that they "are back to normal" as you said.
As for the ones who like to complain I say to them get a pop sickle take a lick and chill, I've looked all over you tube and have not found their channel where they do what you do for their community, keep up the good work.

I LOVE this man’s work!! It actually made me appreciate my town as I didn’t see any properties remotely as bad as these properties before. Call it magic or a miracle, but it is as close as turning water into wine that you will see!

I don't know why people would say things like that. Having everything trimmed up and cleaned looks so much better. The green comes with growth. Like hair, it grows right back. Although when it does, it's at least manicured. God bless what you do for these people. Thank you.
Dude I don't even enjoy mowing my small yard. Well until it is all done and I see all the nice straight lines. I can't believe you do all that by yourself. You are amazing and NEED a MASSAGE! My back hurts for you.
People who complain about the grass not being green after it's been cut when it's over 6. In tall like that. Obviously don't understand the grass plant itself. Cultivated grasses for lawns are kept short and green on a regular basis. If you allow the grass to grow to its normal height, it forms what you could call a trunk quote" or the brown fibers are around the bottom. So when you cut it back to its normal length you get the brown fibers but they're there growing out the green shoots so it simply a result of what somebody letting the grass grow too long and the brown taking over the bottom of the stem. That's okay. Just keep doing what you're doing. You're awesome!

Yesterday I cut the grass on the house in front of mine and took a couple of before and after photos. I also noticed that when I finished it was not as green as before but the grass was very tall. I'm also sure that after watering it for a few days it will look green again and prettier.
After watching several videos, I noticed that a lot of them are brown after you finish. But like you said, a few days and some rain, and it looks just bout good as new. It's only cause of how much overgrowth there is, that the undergrowth practically suffocates, but, you always give it new life.

I cannot tell you how satisfying it is to watch your videos, to see such chaos and disorder changed to immaculate neatness! How does your back handle all that shoveling?? and why is it "always" corner lots!?! (we live on a corner lot, and it is a LOT of work!)

You could ask the neighbors to send you some pictures after a few weeks and upload a meta video of previous projects with before and after with green gardens. Would just cost you some time, a day or so, for cutting the clip.
Your work is amazing! Any negative people with nasty comments need to be quiet.. I bet you $1 they would jump at the chance to have you mow and edge their lawns..❤️

I have two thoughts here:
1. I really hope the neighbors or homeowners continue to mow it once Spenser gets it under control again. Otherwise it’s just a short term fix.
2. Spenser has mentioned that if the home isn’t vacant he would bag if needed. In most cases though it should look better after a few days of sun and rain. It’s insane to expect it to look like a golf course 8 hours after being a jungle. The grass is going to need some time to recover.
Anyone else think it would be fun to see some “1 year later” follow up videos where the neighbors stepped up and kept the lawn manageable????

Regarding the comment about people complaining... DON'T LISTEN TO THOSE PEOPLE! They are probably in the comfort of their air-conditioned home, sitting on a comfy couch, and have never laid a finger on a lawn-type tool. You do a fantastic job every time, FOR FREE, and every job DOES look 100% better.
Maybe it would be a good idea to inform the nearest neighbors that it will be green again after the rain comes. Or if they can go together and water it until then. A small effort for them getting a nice view when you have done the hard work. If they can't wait for rain.
