I agree with Boneaparte386. It's her life experiences that fuel her passion for music. While the lyrics may not be as "angry" her musical and stage performance are still the same "old" Tori. She's not some robotic entertainer that simply looks at a keyboard and sings into a mic. She addresses the crowd directly as if singing the song to each and every one of them personally. That's what defines a great entertainer. That's why I think she is brilliant.
Good stuff, though a little heavy on the drums; these talk shows never seem to get the sound right. It saddens me that this is the only way that a lot of people hear Tori. Still an awesome performance; I'm glad the cameras focused on her piano-playing ability. And she must like that gray vest; it's the same one she wore for the performance in the video contest :>)
