People don’t realize how vital Pippen was to the Bulls and Jordan’s career. Dude could have easily been a “star player” on any other team but chose to be a solid support for Jordan and the rest of the Bulls. Mad respect to him for that!

Know what? I went out after that 72-10 season and looked for the black Airs but couldn't find them. I got an alternate version with the Air in baby blue and the rest in white. My favorite shoes of all time. I think they re-released them, b/c I swear I saw someone with them not too long ago...

Idiots. Scottie Pippen was an offensive liability in his first 2 years. And an inconsistent player in his third. Jordan's first two rings, Pippen had to be babied a bit on some nights. On their Final stretch, Pippen had to sit a couple of moments because of injuries and was forced to play in his worse condition ever. Don't get me wrong, Pippen is amazing. But all these idiocy that Pippen was already good upon draft is just ignoramus. Jordan MADE Pippen.

T.Honda No. The exaggeration that "Jordan only won because of Pippen" is a B.S narrative. Pippen is one of the best role players and the greatest sideman in NBA history don't get me wrong. It just took time for him to be reach that level.
Hitto oh yes. Jordan trained him in his private facility in his house on multiple occasions. Together with Phil Jackson, Pippen matured to become who he is. I didn't say he was a scrub, far from it. He is more of a raw talent with potential, and far exceeded in that potential by how the Bulls handled him. He WAS an offensive liability in his first two years, and at times, he was inconsistent. I didn't say that diminishes him, but it puts context to how he is as a player.
You KNOW how Jordan practices. He trains his teammates to be psychologically be in tune with him. Had Pippen been in another team, I'd doubt he'd even be regarded as one of the greatest rim protectors EVER. Phil Jackson's triangle had him as a crucial glue guy that's why his importance is beyond measure. Pippen is who he is, partly, because of MJ. Plain and simple.
Oh, and the two years Mike was gone? The Knicks bitchslapped them. His numbers held the Bulls up. But he doesn't have that Alpha mentality of a leader that MJ was, to buy them a ring.

As much as i love the shoes. that dunk was epic im from Chicago and that dunk is up there with his airness switching hands for the layup against the lakers two of the most epic highlights from growing up in the 90,s. Thanks pip great player and role model thanks again

Pippen's best shoe (and IMHO the greatest basketball shoe Nike has ever made) the Nike Air Maestro mids. Super light weight and very supportive...technology way ahead of its time.
Everyone keep saying Pippen is underrated, but we all know his talent and value to that run. So to me, he's underappreciated. That dunk over Ewing is, and will always be one of the top poster of all time.

Whoa! I always thought the Nike Air More Uptempo IS the Pippen 1. I've been dying to own that one in the 90's (along with Adidas' Kobe feet you wear) but just too poor to have it. Up to now, I still consider it as the iconic Pippen shoes.
The Nike Air Swift was my favorite. I had the reverse color way in the 11th grade!!! Dope!!!
The Nike Total Air Max Uptempo from 1997 was supposed to be a Pippen signature shoe, was even featured as such in early advertising for the model but was pulled for unknown reasons. One little Easter egg hidden in plain sight on the Total Airs, even today in the retro models, are the uppermost lace eyelets being shaped as perfect little "P"'s. Still one of my favorite shoes from any era in Black/Volt and of course the Breds.
