Thoughts can be sin but all depends on individual really and their heart if u have repeated bad thoughts for instance but an agent of Devil manipulated into doing so God will not condemn u Because the thoughts dont Reflect how feel inside once u seen God gavor un your life you fall in Love notjing devil can do or u can do to lose your own salvation but u can lose your prosperity of one has genuino dear of the Lord and guilt regret they recognize what they have done and Love the Lord and u cant have guilt or regret without Having remorse so no matter how many times you Screw up your saved but will be judged more firecely and wont see as many Rewards in heaven and have Victory when u Get there dont have no rewards in earth

We will always have spirit and fruits of spirit especially if we seek him Because we hate how we fallen its recognizing that difference between thoughts and sin Because if one does not recognize the difference between thoughts and sin one cant expect to prosper and will be at diferent level in heaven had they decided to not to make same mistake repeatdely and Will be Judged more fiecely when this Happens de need pray for Holy spirit to reignite flame inside of US I compare quenching to when a fire is down to it coals fire hasnt been put out completely water hasnt Doused the fire to speak AMD with more firewood keep flame Goin same with Holy Spirit quenching simply means to lose power of spirit not the spirit Itself bible Says he will never leave us Nor forsake us

Sinless? What is that? Is it a sin to sneak off for a quick smoke in the boss's time? Is it a sin to fancy that beautiful blonde secretary who keeps looking at you? Is it a sin to live a normal, guilt-free, religion-free, Christ-bitten-free life? You people are so sad, so sick, so delusional. Why do you not all take a step back, see the world as it is, and realize that science, not religion is solving all the world's problems? Let me put it simply, if you or a loved one suddenly collapses, and writhes on the floor in agony, would your first thought be to call the local church, and have the clergy rush over and pray over the afflicted? No, it would not, it would be a 911 call, a desperate call to the only people qualified to offer all the assistance needed. Then, you would, in a twisted roundabout way thank the Lord for saving your loved one. Oh dear, no wonder America is full of deranged killers.

    Pastor Stan,
I listened to your sermon two times and followed along in scripture and found it to be vey well stated and shared. Then, tho I should not have, I read the comment sections....there the devil is alive and well.
I would share that you wrote and spoke a very good bible study. You shared about giving your sin to Jesus and by confessing our sins to him in prayer which is the first step of repentance. Then you shared how to get closer to Him through our one to one prayer explaining how the Holy Spirit is working in us.
    It was an excellent presentation.
I encourage you to not let the comment section get you down. Stand strong in your faith and like the military says, "keep track of your mission".
I will look for you in Heaven.
    In Jesus' name !

Jesus is talking about those who decide to do evil and turn against Him, He erases their names from the Book of
Life. You are talking about sinning by drinking too much and perhaps even have become addicted. Jesus said there is no judgement for those who believe in Him. Keep asking for God's mercy and He will put His peace in your heart. You might also need help with overcoming your addiction which will give you plenty of opportunities to witness for Jesus.

I am sealed with the holy spirit, I confess sins daily for process of sanctification. I trusted in the Lord of Jesus Christ as my personal savior into my heart through faith alone by accepting his free gift of salvation by his grace on February 16, 1996. I struggle with sin in the flesh among other people.

    • @yestothetruth
      @yestothetruth 2 года назад

The response to the flesh is to walk in the Spirit (Galatians 5:16) and that means to not follow or be controlled by the desires of your flesh, which are opposed to what the Holy Spirit would lead you to (Galatians 5:17). You walk in the Spirit when you say 'No' to what your flesh wants to do and that is sinful as well. God's grace helps you do that:
      Titus 2:11-14
11 For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all people, 12 instructing us to say "No" to ungodliness and worldly desires, and to live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present age; 13 looking for the blessed hope and appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ; 14 who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify for himself a people for his own possession, zealous for good works.
Read also Galatians 5:16-26, Galatians 6:7-8, Romans 8:12-13, Romans 13:14. It's about living for God and honoring God in everything you do. All that assumes that you have been born again and have received the Holy Spirit so you can put to death the deeds of the body "by the Spirit" (Romans 8:13). I invite you to listen to the messages on my playlist called "Crucify The Flesh." It's on my channel, under "Reference Playlists." I hope they help.
      Peace to you!

We all must have a righteousness that exceeds anything we could ever produce through our own effort. That’s where Jesus enters! Failure to understand this truth is at the root of all feelings of guilt and condemnation. If we understand our right standing with God on the basis of what Jesus did for us, and not by our own actions, then the power to be condemned is gone. Those who live with emotions of unworthiness are not trusting in God’s righteousness but are looking to their own actions to obtain right standing with God.

The bible said if we kept repeating "the same mistakes/sins" over and over again, then we might not be forgiven by God... Why?... because DEATH is only around the corner, and may catch up with us that we have no time to repent, then we are not SAVE (like death by accident, heart attack, etc.)... Christ said, keep your clothes/garments "CLEAN" at all times for you never know when the THIEF (Death) comes in your doorway...
The "THIEF" symbolized "DEATH" and the "2ND COMING OF CHRIST," for nobody knows "the day and the hour" neither by the Son of God nor the Angels but the Father God alone knows...
The bible said, that God is the "GIVER and TAKER" of all His creation's "LIVES"... while Christ Jesus (Son of God) is the "Life Giver" only... Christ said, he who believes in me, and I in him will have the Eternal (Giving) Life... To God, be the Glory, Power, and Honor, in Christ Jesus name... Amen.

When Jesus died on the cross for our sins, he made a new covenant for his true followers. He was able to send the Holy Spirit to transform us to righteousness and conquer the flesh nature to set us free from the practice of sin, and it's desires. I think it is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit when people deny the power of the Holy Spirit to transform us to righteousness.
The Apostle Paul said that we are not in the flesh if the Holy Spirit lives in us.
2 Corinthians 10:3 Paul also tells us that we have been set free from sinful desires:
"For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh."
    Isaiah 53:5 says:
"But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed."
Before Jesus came, the law that people lived under could not conquer the flesh nature. That is why people had to sacrifice animals repeatedly.
The cleansing that God provides is not temporary. It is permanent.
    Hebrews 7:27 says:
"He (Jesus) has no need, like those high priests, to offer sacrifices daily, first for his own sins and then for those of the people, since he did this once for all when he offered up himself."
Many Christians mock the Holy Spirit by saying it is impossible to conquer the flesh nature. They don't believe the word of God, and they contradict the Word Of God. They are diminishing the power of the Holy Spirit in their own minds & in the minds of others. They are mocking the miracle that transforms us to bring Salvation. People flock to false religion due to the corruption in their hearts.
1 Peter 2:24 confirms that is possible to stop sinning:
"He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.” God's healing is not temporary. It is permanent.
Scripture describes false converts as continuing in sin, because they deny the power of the Holy Spirit.
    2 Timothy 3:5
"Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away."
Scripture also warns about breaking the New Covenant through sinning.
    Hebrews 10:28-29
"Anyone who has rejected Moses' law dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace?"
God's grace does not free us to sin. It frees us from sin.

What about those who say they believe in Jesus, but act like they don't? I'm curious because my grandparents are the type that will kill on Saturday, go to church on Sunday and say they're saved because of that. They severely abused me and lied about, and sent my dad to jail when I was little after they falsely accused him of their sin. To this day, 15 years later, they still maintain the lie that it was my dad and not them, even though it was clearly them. But they also claim to believe in Jesus. So what happens to them?

    • @pastorstan3720
      @pastorstan3720  2 года назад +1

Hi Brittany, people who refuse to acknowledge their sins and repent do not receive salvation. Jesus said in Matthew 7:22 "On judgment day many will say to me, ‘Lord! Lord! We prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your name and performed many miracles in your name.’ 23 But I will reply, ‘I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God’s laws.’" This includes all who claim to believe in Jesus but refuse to repent.

OK. My man, a few questions for you, starting with a simple one:
How much of Jesus was God?
and they get even more difficult..
If God made the heavens and the earth, then by definition he also owned them, so how was Satan, when tempting Jesus, able to offer him all the lands as far as the eye could see if Jesus already owned them? It is like a stranger coming into my home and offering to sell me my own washing machine!
Next for your delectation, According to Rabbinic law, in order to be a Rabbi a man had to be married, with no exceptions, as Jesus was a man, how did he circumnavigate these laws?
Who wrote the gospels? It was not Matthew, Mark, Luke, or John, these were names appended to the four gospels by the early Biblical compilers to distinguish one from another,.
And finally, as I do not want to torture you too much, do you know that there were no eyewitnesses to the crucifixion, no eyewitnesses to the resurrection, and no eyewitnesses to the eventual disappearance of Yahweh, the Jewish Rabbi? Unless of course, you include Mary, the enigmatic Mary, Magdeline, or Mary of Bethany? The wife of Jesus who was the first to see him after his 'resuscitation' [see the Greek connection, Ressurection and resuscitation are interchangeable] and, according to scripture, GOD!! was disguised as the gardener!!!! Why would he do that? And his disciples, the faithful, what happened to them? Judas topped himself, Peter was crucified for sedition and the other 10, just disappeared, the servants of the lord, the ones who had been in the presence of God almighty just disappeared, abandoned, left to fend for themselves, and you expect me, a rational thinking human being to believe this shit?

It's not a license to sin, it's assurance to know God doesn't give up on us who are saved. The flesh is weak like Jesus said. My flesh desires the world but my heart and mind desire God. It's a constant struggle. Like Paul said "the things I don't want to do, I do. The things I want to do, I don't. What a wretched man I am. " many, many Christians struggle. It's easy to get caught up in this world, trust me I do it daily.

    IF YOU ARE SAVED the blood of Jesus continuously washes your sin away. Jesus is interceding on behalf of his believers, to the Father. Remember Jesus told Nicodemus;
'' You must be born again to enter heaven''.

If you are "saved" it's from sin that you are saved, so continuing to sin is not the plan when someone gets saved.
We are saved from sin to experience *freedom from sin.*
      Matthew 1:21
And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will *save his people from their sins.*
      John 8:34-36
34 Jesus answered them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, *whoever commits sin is a slave of sin.* 35 And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever. 36 Therefore *if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.*
      Romans 6:14
For *sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace.*
      1 John 3:6
Whoever abides in Him [Jesus] *does not sin.* Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him.

@@TheShadow.1 My dear fellow, if it is Biblical understanding you crave, then look no further, I am a scholar when all things Tanakh are mentioned. I was hoping some Scriptural ignoramus would take the bait and my hope has been vindicated. So my fine friend, let us commence with a list from the Old Testament, [incidentally, the Islamic Quran also contains all of the writings contained therein ], or did you already know that? In the Old Testament, slavery, rape, incest, genocide, misogyny, misandry, infanticide, drunkenness, and cruelty are all either supported, encouraged, or tolerated. I can direct you to the appropriate passages if you desire. My question is, do you agree with God when he supported and encouraged these things, or was he wrong? I have many more examples before we move on to the New Testament which is just as obnoxious as the Old.

    Two points:
    1) You never really answered the question. You talk almost exclusively in the past tense - not in the present.
    2) You give the impression that continual, willful sin for a Christian is alright, rather than imploring the believer to fight their sin at every turn - asking the Holy Spirit to help them.
I appreciate your message, but I guess that not fervently pursuing holiness (Heb 12:14) is what most pastors seem to be preaching these days.

@@leestewart8166 I think that means those who haven't repented, if people pass under God's judgement it means they've been justified by him and their sins have been forgotten as they are conformed to the image of Jesus and reborn with their old physical body but repaired to full working condition as it was intended to be without sin and without the pre planning to counter the sin that came to us because in the end no sin will exist and our ability to sin will be corrected as per our desire to be fixed and God's desire that we live.

I've noticed, when trying to determine one's salvation, people try to make a distinction between occasional sin and habitual sin. But is your standing before God really determined by if you're committing the same sin many times or many sins but of a greater variety? And is intensional sin a separate category? All sin is intensional. I might not think it through before I sin or might not consider the affect my sin will have on others. I might be self centered enough to not consider the harm of my wrong doing. But all of my sins are intensional. In determining our salvation I think some people may be asking the wrong questions. The heart of the gospel is Christ died for our sins. Well, did He or not? We say that when You put your trust in the finished work of Christ at Calvary , He forgave your past, present, and future sins. Well, did He or not? If His blood was sufficient to take away our sins, then asking if He will forgive us now is irrelevant. But if His blood was not sufficient to take away our sins, then asking if He will forgive us now is also irrelevant. Hebrews 10:14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

First of all, define sin, is it legal? If it is then in your opinion if it is not harming anyone why is it a sin? Or is it, as one of the greatest literary minds of all time, D. H. Lawrence described it:

    the breaking of divine
    commandments. It is the
    breaking of one's own integrity
