I think it’s about action and faith. Not about the multiplying of money. He specifically says about those who do nothing and what deserves to happen to them. Deep lesson of not being lazy and making sure to be faithful, which many people need to learn from today.
I strongly believe this....that we can win souls through our actions. If we are living right with the fear of God we are bound to win souls, it's impossible not to win souls if we have the fear of God. I believe it represent a believer that doesn't live right therefore which is impossible to win souls for Christ. So this servant with one talent can be a believer who don't see a need in seeking God so that He can deliver him and restore him in many areas.

Hi, i just want to voice out my opinion on how i undertand the parable. Correct me if i'm wrong. As a servant of God, i think this parable talks about how much we influenced, taught, shined a light to the people to turn back to God. To love Him, to trust Him and entrust everything to Him. That "ability" that this parable talks about is that how are we gonna spread it. By actions or by preaching, etc. The invested coins are the word of God, the " interest" are the people who turn back to God, who see the light, who saw the hope. Who they can love more than this world. Then the third guy who didnt do anything. This guy shuts himself up, isolate himself. Despite knowing everything what Jesus taught him, the truth, the way, and the life to come after death. This is my interpretation, please let me know if im wrong. Thank you for letting me share my opinion. May God bless, be with you and watch over you all.
Question for Stan. Is this parable talking about stewardship of what we’ve been given for the kingdom, or is it simply talking about those who live by faith versus those who choose not to. What you explained felt like a works-based gospel to me, because, according to your video, I will be thrown into outer darkness if I don’t produce righteous works.
I’m so sick of hearing about this “works-based gospel” when the Bible is clear that the Holy Spirit will guide the believer to produce good works. It’s by one’s fruit you will know them. Not ones claims, as Jesus makes clear. Plus, did you not recognize the heart of the 3rd? He showed no reverence for the Lord, only pride. Perhaps, you should understand what faith is. It is not a proclamation, it is a heart dedication to trust and follow that which is Lord of your life.

@David Pereira true. Jesus fulfills the laws. As is stated, by loving your neighbor as yourself and loving god with all your hearts fills the rest of the laws. Our faith in Christ is fulfillment of the laws which is now written in our hearts. We are no longer under the law, for the laws was written as a guide because of disobedience
I think you needed to explain why the Master was harvesting where He did not reap. Also, why the third servant called the Master difficult. Note, the Master did not dispute either claim by the third servant. Who was the third servant, a Pharisee? Answering these questions gives a deeper richness to the parable.
The master is our Lord in heaven. He is being challenged by the third servant who calls our Lord ‘s behavior as harsh. The third servant also says that the master harvests where he does not plant. Notice that the Master does not dispute either assertion. What is it that our Lord harvests? Souls for the Kingdom. Where did the Master plant and to whom? That would be Judaea to the Israelites. However, the Master is reaping not only Jews but all people. The third servant did not like this and called-out the Master. Not only this, the third servant did not use and multiply the gifts and graces given him by the Master. Thus the master’s harsh treatment.

I know that the parables speak logical to us so that we can understand what the kingdom of God is liking Heaven to. I strongly believe he was a believer but one that didn't take his time in seeking God and was in his comfort zone which God is against. A kind of a lukewarm Christian who is comfortable at his/her position who doesn't pray, fast, worship and so forth in order to produce more.
The Parable is about finances and business and increasing your financial security by investing your money rather than saving it. The lesson is a wonderful gift from Jesus. And it is full of Truth from beginning to end.
Yes there is no where said that he was envy but as a child of God it can be revealed to one why the servant with one talent was discouged into to producing more talents. There are many things at play here one could think of. Sin is one of them.
Please consider this.... If we look at 1Cor 4:1 stewards of the mysteries of God....... I had to start at John 11 24-25. If we focus on "I am the resurrection" go to Ephesians 2...I was dead in trespasses and sin...Plainly I'm saying John 5;29 is above ground. (I know I'm resurrected) lying Jews early church "a resurrection of unjust" we believe a person will just die unless they receive the spirit....next subject matthew 20;22 is a baptism of suffering (he will baptize you with fire, not maybe).... Now going above my pay-grade they are teaching me if I died now. I'd sleep then 1000years and alittle season physical resurrection where 144,000 natural born jews will be leading the churches.
He not talking about that he talking about your faith! The talents is a person faith. If you tell people in this way for this parable it promotes works ti get to heaven that’s right it’s not biblical!
This guy went into a whole bunch of fluff and tangents. Don't be distracted by the garb. Jesus' parables were literally given unto laypeople. Laypeople then and now understand one thing, capitalism/trade. We share that with those to whom Jesus spoke to. I believe the parable meaning is this: To those that HAVE(be that in money/resources) you are expected to make good use of it(if we are God's servants, then that would mean using it to for what God would want that money to be used for) while you are here on this earth. If you have a large corp then help/give the way a large corp can help/give, if you have anything at all(your time) put it to use for your master that is your lord. Not too complex of an idea. It's literally like a quote from a Spiderman movie "with great power comes great responsibility"
Not a bad take, I would agree; I definitely think Jesus was on some deeper stuff here, he gave us salvation now it’s on us to spread the good news through our talents!
Sorry you are making a wrong assumption. The talents get you onto the kingdom now think. What gets you into heavens kingdom...yes believing in Jesus. So think of the talents as representative of our measures of faith. Faith is empty and must be filled with the Substance of things hoped for. And the Evidence of things unseen. The knowledge that we perish for the lack of. When your faith is full it is sufficient for your belief in Jesus. Notice that when full you are now allowed into the kingdom. Because when your faith is full you are able to believe. And if you don't have the faith to believe in Jesus you will be cast out where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth, same punishment the man who buried his talent got. Hence the faith correlation is accurate over your conjecture of abilities. Now the purpose of the parable is to show that YOU have to DO your part to BELIEVE. Faith is not blind just empty do you know what to fill it with and how to fill it?
Wrong interpretation. Bad theology. The talent represented a weight. Divine mercy is what Jesus is talking about. Pastor, please stop spreading bad theology.
Sorry Pastor Stan, but you are wrongly interpreting the talents to be "things" God has given like a job, etc. The logical end of this interpretation means our "entering into the joy of the master" as well as "being cast out into darkness" both depend on our effort and behavior. Again, sorry pastor, but this is not the Gospel. Those who believe in Christ Jesus by grace, through faith will enter into His Glory. The talents in this parable represent faith. A faith that does not produce for the master who has given it, is a dead a worthless faith, not a living faith. Those found without faith when Christ returns will not enter His Glory, and the little they have will be taken from them. Yet, those who produce and live by faith, even MORE will be given to them.
If you read the book of Mormon you will understand what he meant in verse 29 in which the servant will be casted to outer darkness. Great Video & thank you!
The book of Mormon is not biblical Galatians 1:8 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. It's ethier Paul who was sent by JESUS who is lying or the guy who wrote the book of Mormon

Yes there is no where said that he was envy but as a child of God it can be revealed to one why the servant with one talent was discouged into to producing more talents. There are many things at play here one could think of. Sin is one of them.
@@yolisamrso9827 naaa now everyone has revelations everyone speak to god 🤣🤣🤣🤣 like God has a1800 line smh
The weeping and gnashing of teeth is hell by the way
Please consider this....
You have missed the point of the parable.
@@pastorstan3720 I think not, but that you have.
This is wrong explanation
Wrong interpretation. Bad theology. The talent represented a weight. Divine mercy is what Jesus is talking about. Pastor, please stop spreading bad theology.
You should check your heart. How are you sure he is not correct in his interpretation? Remember, "Where our heart is, there our treasure is".
Hmmmm so this parable is not about the Jewish people? You all miss the true insights from the Messiah with this western interpretation. So sad
This is wrong teaching. The Bible clearly says lay up for yourselves treasures in Heaven.
Johnny, how do you know your interpretation is correct?
If you read the book of Mormon you will understand what he meant in verse 29 in which the servant will be casted to outer darkness. Great Video & thank you!
The book of Mormon is not biblical Galatians 1:8 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. It's ethier Paul who was sent by JESUS who is lying or the guy who wrote the book of Mormon
Perhaps read it before you judge it. It confirms the same gospel not a contrary one.
Book of Mormon tells few Truths & even Quran tells some Truth but ultimately they’ve mixed in so much lies that one must never touch those books.
Wow. God is kind of a jerk, no?
No he is not. He is faithful
Nope☝🏾...God simply don’t play DRAMA & he’s to the point.
