Thanks for your thoughtful review. You pretty much captured what I also like about the micro clutch over the cuff.

the bottom bracket, plate interface comes across as lazy. That's a complete no-go for me. Better off finding a dedicated grip adaptor for your camera that has more thoughtful, purposeful design. I love PD but there's some design hits and design misses. This ones falls into the latter for me.

A grip custom-fitted for your camera, like those from your camera manufacturer or SmallRig, paired with a wrist strap are certainly viable options.

I agree, but also, a grip isnt the same as a hand strap. Its too bad that they didn't just scale down the regular clutch.

Yeah, I wanted the regular clutch when I first saw it, but it wasn’t for my mirrorless supposedly.

I have Peak Design *everything* including straps such as the Slide Lite, Leash, Cuff, and Clutch so I gladly ordered the Micro Clutch in Kickstarter to use with my Fuji X100V. I love Peak Design but this product was a total miss for me. I bought the proper non-L plate for the X100V and it wasn't difficult to put on, but was fiddly and took time. It's not a clean solution and it does make the camera larger and battery changes a hassle. The Micro Clutch itself was profoundly uncomfortable. I adjusted it a million different ways but it was always either too loose where it would feel like I would drop the camera or so tight it was uncomfortable and cramped my fingers. I just never felt it was secure and the material isn't that soft. The full sized Clutch, even on a smaller camera, was much more comfortable and felt more secure, or the simple Cuff would do the job too and created a feeling of total security. I ended up putting the Micro Clutch in a draw where it sits gathering dust to this day.

Sorry to hear it didn't work out for you with the X100V. Wondering if you managed to get the full-sized Clutch to work with it, or if you're just using the Cuff with it now?

@@MrGeorgeCheng I am using the cuff or leash with the X100V in daily use at this point.

@canyonblue737-8 thanks! I’ll keep it in mind if I get the X100VI or something similar.

@@MrGeorgeCheng I don’t think it’ll work on the VI, since Fuji moved the tripod hole forward towards the lens. I think the PD plate only allows adjustment left to right, not front to back correct?

@craig_cunha yes, you are correct that it only adjusts left and right, not forwards and backwards like the regular PD plate. I wish I had a X100VI to test it though. If anyone reading the comments is able to test it, would love to get the input on that.

Great review! Especially together with a fuji. One thing tho: wanted to see how it all works with fuji and capture

Thanks for the comment! I’ll perhaps do a follow up video about day-to-day use including with the capture clip.

the capture clips leaves some kind of residue mark on my camera after removing the plate, i have a fuji camera with silver colors, same with the micro clutch, i think its something about the rüber parts of those parts

I believe it's from the rubber. I've been able to wipe them off though. It might be dust or just an imprint from the rubber itself. Other Arca-Swiss compatible plates might have similar issues, but I'm not sure. In the long-run it's probably better than seeing scratches from tripods that don't use a plate.
