The piece you seen being installed is the bottom half of a barrel roll stretching over the straight launch section. They have completed the skinny portion of the new building where the new neon huge sign will go on. that’s where you Land on a false roof before being shot over the escalator Middle lot/construction zone c has has 1 small double footed support left and everything else is considered p/s(parking structure) to lower lot inverted boomerang. Upper lot the only supports missing just have to be done in order so the track can lay down between the lookout/landing you seen them erecting that had the trusses. 3 curing footers that are done tbh. Lower lot you will continue to see shoring boxes make they’re way down the hill but a lot of terraforming needed there. The long supports are still buried almost 8 feet deeper. That’s why you are seeing them have to really dig down to put in shoring boxes right now. Very exciting next 2 weeks though. Great update video as always. No callouts. Full crews and pushing overtime limits before the holidays and vacations start the week before thanksgiving.

Yeah, when editing the video I noticed the DOT arrows on the side of the support installed when I got there and the one being installed at the end of the video (which I couldn't see when filming in the dark) and realized that it's for that inversion. I also saw paint markings for where it looks like another footing is going for the track leading up to the giant inversion nearest the ststion. All this is gonna look incredible!

Off topic Chris, we did Dark Nights at Hersheypark on Sept 28th...finally got a chance to ride the new and improved SkyRush. Absolutely "awesome" with the new Velocicoaster style restraints. No longer "absolute trash" as you called it back in June 2023. 🤣🤣😆The airtime was even more insane and most of all, painless. Like you, I hated the old restraints. The pressure on my legs was so intense, the blood rushed to my head and turned my lips blue. But I am anxiously anticipating your review of the new design and experience whenever you get back to Hersheypark. 👍👍👍

This is massive! Calculating the placement of all of the foundations and heights in relation to each other for this to come together seamlessly must be incredibly challenging. What I've never understood about roller coaster construction (even growing up with Mall of America), but prevalent in this video, is some concrete footings are kind of tall, with (relatively) shorter supports, while many other footings are closer to flush to the ground (which I'm used to seeing), and have supports that are sized for that particular segment. This hill is so full of variations in height and topography, I wonder what the method is behind it?
Yeah, I've seen trying to figure that out myself regarding the tall footings. Like, why they aren't just making a taller support instead. I'm guessing it has something to do with the forces.
I wonder when we’ll get the ride trains in. That’s my favourite part in the process of constructing a new roller coaster. I’m hoping late February / early Spring 2025 which is when we’ll get the spinning cars 🚗 🚙🚕💨💨💨
Imagine for a second the whole way back from lower lot was covered in a tunnel. And you bust back out of the side of the mountain. Remind anyone of a fast and furious scene? 🤔 Or instead of the slide after the launch towards lower lot imagine you shot through the lower level of the parking garage that’s all staged correctly. Tight whips and turns with a slow down portion like hagrids and then a drag race when the brakes quit and you burst out of the south end of garage, down the slope into the turnaround inversion.
Hopefully this roller coaster can handle earthquakes, I’m scared that it’s on the side of a mountain lol. I think this thing will be done by next year. Hopefully it’s as good as velocicoaster

What a cool update - a support and some night time work.
I'm glad the park is open until 7 at the moment. A couple weeks ago they closed at 6 and I just missed a track segment go in.
Im pretty excited about the idea that i had months ago, that they are going to make a few tunnels and underground parts of this ride!

I'm very worried about the theme of this ride. I love the first 4 movies, so I can only hope they do it justice.
I think it'll be awesome. The theme makes the most sense for what the ride will be doing and that it's outside (for the most part).
