Sometimes when I didnt have time to play or after I hit 500m I purposely will donate bubs. That way my timer can generate more and someone gets closer to Cassandra. If we all did that we can beat the system haha
I really like this mode, it's been a lot of fun. I got the variant in just under half a week of playing without spending any gold. I wiped 4 times, but the regen make it not an issue. I have been donating cubes with a Martyr + Agatha deck at the ice cream level, so hopefully that helps more people get the card.
I haven’t spent anything on DPD, completely f2p. I love it, working up the tables and gradually raising the stakes is a fun gameplay experience. I’ve even gone bust once or twice and made it back up pretty easily.
I took the Lamby route but at 3x. I got the card after 3 days and got the varient the next day. I was also playing the bounce deck Jeff Hoogland used in Conquerors. That deck farms bots and real people don't respect the amount of power it puts out on turn 6.
I’m F2P and got cassandra today with only 400k buy in matches as max with 600k regeneration. Great event and I like the rewards a lot the borders are nice
I'm free to play and using lamby's approach. Instead of 10x I do 5x. I'm at 2.2 million lifetime bubs and 1.2 million bubs in the bank. It's possible to get there with the cautious approach.
Once you hit the higher bubs upgrade. Like 300 gold can be a huge jump up. Something to keep in mind. 300 gold isn't much to get closer to a new card. And is way less then 6k tokens or maybe 4 keys at 6k credits a piece.
I agree w/ your DD problems take. But you missed the biggest problem to me. Once you do figure out the mode, you’re incentivized to leave - a lot. That means a ton of games end before you’ve played many cards, where you never stay in a 45%-55% match up where your skill may make a difference, where you only play out your deck’s nut draw. That’s the boring part of Marvel Snap and this mode has increased it dramatically.
Yup, I've had so many games end on turn 2 and 3 because opponent would leave immediately so they don't lose too many bubs, but then on the flip side any progress I make is seriously slowed down.
I think you have fairly low risk of going bust even if you wait for 3-4x the minimum requirements. I took that approach and I never really needed to wait for the timer.
F2P Diner runs into another gut punch after 1 million or so. In theory you should be practically there, but your regen cap is just 600K and you've got 14 million more to grind through for the basic "win". And it quickly becomes clear the 80K table will take forever so you're pretty much forced into YOLOing the 400K table. I got to 3 million on day three and was feeling good, then completely busted out day four and now the goal feels miles away.
Yeah that's a sneaky jump, you need to double that 600k 5 times to get her. You can consistently get bubs from the 400k table once you hit 1,6M, since 1 in 4 matches tends to be a bot.
with Cassandra being out now I hope they don't nerf Arishem in the next patch or OTA (too hard) because they are always too far behind with their updates. would be a shame if we all bought the card and it just ran rampant because the devs decided to release the best Ari counter a month after his release and he then becomes High Evo 2.0
I bought hydra bob instead of arishem cause I was sick of facing it just on release day itself even with Cassy Nova who is awsome I say GUT THE PIG 🐷 stuff that doc oc/leech crap up it’s pooper 💩
Darkhawk was already a counter to Arishem.. And with Cassandra around, I think its absolutely safe to NEVER nerf Arishem. It doesn't need it. If they want to change Doc Oc or Loki or something, that would be appropriate. But I think right now Arishem is fine. He does not need to generate more cards and his statline is perfect.
My strategy: generally play a table below. Yolo before going to bed and finish on a whipeout loss. Bubs are regenerated in the morning. It took me 4 days to get Cassandra F2P!
In defense of the exponential scaling of rewards, snapping also scales exponentially so if the rewards scaled linearly they wouldn't keep up with the high stakes
F2P and already on the verge of being at that 500m reward. I just went all in each time and let regen happen. I love the event myself. The moment I hit that 500m I'm gonna start donating bubs.
just make sure you have 4x the table limit and you should be fine, maybe play 1 table down. but you could end up playing way more games than needed if you play on too low tables for too long.
What are your guys thought on if they flipped copycat and Cassandra. So copy cat was in the diner. Kinda of seems like a less meta relevant card would've made it go over alot better.
I got the pandart variant on the third day of the event and only spent 700 gold total. I enjoyed the event overall and would like to see this kind of event quarterly.
Playing the event feels like being stuck in the sweaty 90s of ladder forever, lol. And if you lose too much, you have to go sit in the corner for 8 hours. That's not fun for me. I play games to have fun.
The 8 bubs podcast! Btw I just reached 30 m and that is the worst grind, it gets a lot easier with that last bub upgrade that enables so much refill of resources.
I think Nocturne is consistently better in a deck, however CopyCat has had an even better clutch factor for me. Even if u don’t play that info has been so good to me.
I hate DP Diner. I wish they never made it. Just give us the rewards in a goodie bag.... Or make a community event where we earn Bubs simply by playing and not by winning or losing. I don't want to feel stressed just to get rewards. If I were rich, I'd have whaled the fuck out of this event and never gave it a second thought because its simply not worth my time. It's also hard to split my attention amongst these 3 game modes that exist. I'm not getting paid to play Marvel Snap... I dont have the fucking time. I'm sure all the teenagers that are out of school for the summer can can sun up to sun down playing this game, but normal people can't.
If nothing else, this week proved to me that Conquest rewards should be shitty. I think I want to start by, as much as possible, separating the * mode * from the *event*. I don't really love the mode, but I respect what someone else might love about it. The increasing stakes means that retreats matter more and more, and I get why the mode appeals to streamers or anyone who plays a lot of Snap seriously. I'm happy for them. Increased emphasis on good retreating, on knowing deck matchups and when you're in a strong position to win, this all adds up to probably the highest skill variant of Snap to date. If it had been entirely off to the side, like Conquest is to Ladder, folks can just play the mode they enjoy more. Aces all around. But it wasn't really off to the side. Which is why I think this was an miserable failure of an event. Tonally, it feels wrong that the game mode is paired with goofy art for the summer movie release event. Bubs are fundamentally unserious, but the mode isn't. Mathematically, exponential numbers are incredibly difficult to understand and you don't really have a clear understanding of how close or far away you are from something. To quote Vizzini, "Inconceivable!" And while at lower Bub totals you can live within your bub regeneration levels, at higher totals or when you're getting close to the next Bub-refill-spot, the mode creates more ladder anxiety than ladder, which is just *wrong* for a goofy summer movie tie in event. But the biggest fault is the Context of the event. Contextually, Arishem's spot at the top of the meta was deliberately under-addressed since Cassandra was in the Diner, so she effectively became a non-optional card. Arishem's win-rate wasn't necessarily out-of-bounds strong, but simply being a tad stronger than average lead to a ridiculous play-rate which chokes out a lot of choices. And that's the real kick in the head. Every deck has to have a plan for Arishem, and you have to play it in specifically this one mode, which is grindier, more challenging, and higher stakes than other modes of Snap. So I felt trapped in a mode I don't really like, playing specifically meta counter decks. This has been one of the most rotten weeks in Snap for me, and I've played since Public Release. In a bad meta of regular Snap, times when Leech+Leader (remember old Leader?), or Galactus, or ProfX + Cannonball or Alioth are painful, it's easy for someone who isn't making a living creating Snap content to just do their dailies and log. And to go back to the start, this is why I'm more convinced than ever that Conquest should have bland rewards (although... throw in maybe one fancy border each season...). I know there are folks who don't love Conquest, who don't like the longer matches. I personally like how the stakes don't matter, and how often matches play out to through Turn 6, rather than early retreats. It's what I do when I'm watching TV in the evening. And if I'm bored in a matchup, I can just toss in a "get me out of this game" snap and either win or lose in one go. But that's me, and if someone else doesn't love it, I don't want them to feel like they have to grind through in order to get a meta-critical Series 5 card. If the rewards of Deadpool's Diner were approximately the same as Conquest, some exclusive Deadpool and Wolverine variants (plus those fancy borders), I'm good, I find no fault with it, and I'm glad for folks who enjoy it. Literally love that for them. But non-trivial rewards and a divisive gameplay experience means that an event like this mean that--for some group of players--the event is utterly miserable. Maybe I'm not going to get the fuzzy end of that lollypop next time, but I don't want someone else to get it either.
Copycat is worse than Nocturne if there is more than 33% Arishem or so, because you copy random stuff, that also tends to be more detrimental (typhoid mary, lizard, etc.). If Arishem drops to 10%, Copycat becomes better than Nocturne, unless there are a lot of Magik decks. So, TLDR: - lots of Magik -> Nocturne - few Arishem -> Copycat
The event is pretty easy free to play if you only play one table below your max table and then take advantage of the regen by moving to your max table and going all in at the end of a gaming session until you will regen some Using this strat I got to 30m in 3 Days with mindless gameplay although I probably put a total of 3 hours into the game mode over the 3 days
i have not been enjoying deeadpool’s diner. i love the card gameplay of snap but don’t enjoy the snap mechanic (it’s fine but not central to the appeal for me). a new mode that leans hard into snapping is just not what i want out of the game. at least the rewards are decent
Kmbest- "It's so easy to call this mode a cash grab". Also Kmbest " I just spent money to get the card. I love you KM but your probably the biggest douchbag in Snap
This episode should be called "15 million bubs" instead of "8 cubes"
Would complete the bit if they went with 15 topics for this one shot.
Sometimes when I didnt have time to play or after I hit 500m I purposely will donate bubs. That way my timer can generate more and someone gets closer to Cassandra. If we all did that we can beat the system haha
You are so generous gimme gimme. I didn't get there yet
Yeah, definitely going to start donating hard at lower levels after I get the variant
I really like this mode, it's been a lot of fun. I got the variant in just under half a week of playing without spending any gold. I wiped 4 times, but the regen make it not an issue.

Diner quickly became my favorite mode. Competitive, sweaty enough and just fun.

Negative Jane, gets the same disrespect. I think I went 10-0 at some point, for the games that I stayed past turn 4.
I’m F2P and got cassandra today with only 400k buy in matches as max with 600k regeneration. Great event and I like the rewards a lot the borders are nice
Same as F2P, but without any buy in, just patience.
I'm free to play and using lamby's approach. Instead of 10x I do 5x. I'm at 2.2 million lifetime bubs and 1.2 million bubs in the bank. It's possible to get there with the cautious approach.

I'm definitely taking the slow route myself. It's been worth it. I've played one or two tables down so far.
Kudos to you, after I got to kebab I just got impatient an started using gold 😅

You leave that 2M table alone till you have 6 or 8M! Or you will fall hard, 3M is NOT enough.
@@louisfriend9323 I’ve never gotten that table unlocked.

Having every deck lose a slot to DH or Casandra for the rest of the season sounds equally bad though Arishem is still overturned
My strategy: generally play a table below. Yolo before going to bed and finish on a whipeout loss. Bubs are regenerated in the morning. It took me 4 days to get Cassandra F2P!
Gamemode gets way more fun later on when playing the 400k and higher tables
Hi5 to KM’s tee. Keep Feeling Ucey 😂
this is my favourite Wishing you all the best podcast

Uhhh no? No one cares that much...

Ive been playing , one table below the table i can cover a 5 snap game in and I'm am closing in on 7.5ml.
If you spend gold to buy enough bubs to have at least 15 million on hand, does it immediately progress you up the track and unlock Cassandra?
