This was unscripted & started as an update video on my new Disney Lorcana channel & randomly turned into me getting a lot of things off my chest that I don't enjoy about Marvel SNAP!
Thank you for voicing the predatory part of the game. I've been playing since it launched (it was your doing, as I was following you in Gwent and your change to Snap made me try the game) and I've been supporting the game till recently, where I decided to become a ftp player from now on. And mainly, this is because of the fomo. I don't know if I'll follow you in Lorcana, but as I said when you moved to Snap from Gwent, the best of luck in whatever you do, mate!
AMEN. I stopped mid-Feb unintenionally with unexpected distractions... couple weeks later felt NO desire to come back (f2p non-content-creator here, caveat) and haven't looked back. SO MUCH of your discussion of things off your chest resonated so strong that you nailed my sentiments. ---> Amen.
I quit snap a few months ago, playing since Black Panther seasonww but very frustrating at the end. Playing at least 4-6 hours a day and not getting new cards it's stupid.
Could be a fools day joke, but it could not as we all noticed the downward content creation & streaming by Speci. And I agree with a lot about monetazation and absence of Series drop.
I agree with the series drop problem, i left the game for 6 months when i had almost all cards, and now there are like 20 series 5 cards that are extremely difficult to get even with the spotlight key system
From a regular, slightly over invested player perspective the game doesn't really feels that good to play anymore. Or at least i enjoy myself playing the most, when there is actual "stuff" to do. Weekend quests, new quest track on tuesdays and so on.. but it feels crazy frustrating and honestly pointless to play the game and still easily end up worse off on the leader board than you did 30 minutes ago. So i personally haven't really bothered going past Lv90 for the 500gold in months. That being said, they are changing their progression paths even more, with somewhat removing the ability to spend gold on anything other than 1200g variants. I hope they add something to the game soon, so it actually *feels* good to play again.
I did enjoy the “here’s a weird deck” era of snap content but you’re right about weekly releases pretty much choking that out. I’ve always found the retreating and snapping part of the game a drag as well.
Quitting Marvel Snap was one of the best decisions I ever made. Played since Global Launch and quit a little more than a month ago. Been devoting my time to physical card games ever since and it’s been so, so, so much rewarding. You’ve been killing it with Lorcana, btw. Thanks for the video, Speci!
Out of curiosity, what do you find more rewarding with the physical games? I ask because I've kinda gone the opposite way; I've been playing MTG since mid 94 and I've all but quit the game at this point as it's just gotten too expensive and can't find any reason to pick up another physical game.
@@rodgerlang884 There’s quite a lot, but at the end of the day, it’s just personal preference. I much prefer the tactile experience of shuffling cards for one. There’s a certain charm to playing a card game in person. I feel like there’s something lost in translation from the table at the LGS to the game on your phone. Yes, Snap is fast paced and dynamic-but almost to a fault, imo. I didn’t find myself playing in short bursts, but instead grinding countless matches on Snap for hours. I also disagree with the direction the game continues to be going. At Global Launch, Snap very much presented itself as a mobile card game. But as time has went on, I feel it’s only drifted more towards being a mobile game and away from being a true card game. And the cadence of one (sometimes 2) new card(s) per week was just not enough to hold my interest long term. Also, physical card games allow me a level of deck building that I could never achieve in Marvel Snap. 12 card decks are a cute idea, but after a while, the deck building in Snap never scratched that itch on my card gamer brain. Big shakeups in the meta were the removal/inclusion of a single new card. Again, not that exciting, imo. Yes, physical is expensive. But so is Snap, unless you’re strictly F2P or only buy the season pass. And even putting some money into the game, it just felt so vacant. I dabble in a few physical games right now. I’ve been playing Pokémon since 2019, Lorcana since The First Chapter, and most recently SWU and MtG (specifically Standard on Arena and Pauper in physical). I’m by no means rich-I’ve just kept my spending very focused. Mostly buying singles. But the best, most rewarding part of going back to physical games (and another way I’ve managed to keep costs reasonable)? Trading. During the 16 months I played Snap, I neglected all my other card games. But going back to the weekly meetups and trading cards with friends really reminded me why I fell in love with this hobby to begin with. Again, all personal preference. But Snap got enough of my time and money. I’m never looking back.
@@ok_ninja All cool reasons. I hope my initial ask didn't come off as judgmental as it really was just curiosity. I'm glad you've found something that speaks to you. I've been thinking about dabbling in SWU, but I have SO many cards from games that have completely died that I get cold feet jumping into anything else at this point.
@@rodgerlang884 No way. I appreciate the discussion! I’ve heard similar concerns from other players regarding the long term viability of a game like SWU. But FF publicly stating it was monetarily their best launch of a game ever is quite promising. And the game itself is fun as hell.
Really well said, it's so frustrating that such a well-designed game has to come with such aggressive monetisation and FOMO bullshit tacked on in order to be sufficiently profitable. I quit back in mid 2023, tried getting back into the game a couple of months ago but have ended up quitting again because I was so far behind and missing so many good cards and the only catch up mechanic they have is spend loads of money. On top of that, I can't stand playing a game that makes me feel obliged to log in every single day to complete daily missions in order to keep up with everyone else, it ends up just feeling like a chore after a while. Good luck with the Lorcana content Speci!
Speci, I absolutely love your content and will miss your originality and honest take on the game. However, as a much, much smaller Marvel Snap RUclips content creator I totally get where you are coming from. The game gets so stale so quickly after a new card release, and so much time is invested in transactions in the game instead of the deck building and playing. Should I use tokens or reserves to get the new card? Do I use my precious gold to buy the variants in the shop? If I do, then I can get more tokens to get more paid for cards eventually. Leaves you feeling very 🤢. Something else you didn’t mention is removing the data-mining of future releases so now you can’t plan for future purchases. So glad you are doing what you enjoy, but we need more content creators like you in Snap. We lost FreddyBabes, too! 😢 God bless in your future endeavors! 🙏🏼
I personally think the only thing they could make easier to acquire is spotlight keys. If yall spending 100s of dollars on this its a choice i feel like
Never spent a cent on marvel snap, at first was hard to get past 30, then one day I got in 40 and was like that's it, all the others had stronger plays. I busted past 50-60-70 somehow without noticing. Im not playing meta...decks just stuff I can scoop up and get close to strong meta lite. Im at 94 at my max somehow no cards brought. I guess its a grind but Its a phone game you play when you have time to kill and I almost always snap early so I jump levels and lower like gambling and some days come out just the same level I came in or 1 less. IMO the game will get better once more cards are in the mix. also some auto decks actually worked for me somehow.
The comment above me is coping so hard Getting infinte is just a distraction it doesn't matter and it's something u can do with a pool one deck even with my first month launch account
@@joebowl8315 you talking about me. I never got infinite. Maybe would have if I didn't get reset in the season. But yeah I played in spare time on lines, lunch, etc. I used a pretty simple deck and I think it was easier as it fooled people into thinking i'd lose. Also when distracted I forget to end my turn causing some to just snap thinking they will get an easy win, sometimes they do via not responding...but yeah it wasn't impossible, never brought a card with real money. To be fair the money cards do seem to destroy me when a good deck comes around but once I unlock the "good stuff" I noticed it's not that good anymore lol.
@@spystar18 Yeah, i learned so many xmen characters. No wonder people are hyped for them. Xmen are more interesting then avengers. The few movies we got had a hard time cause they were in the era where we all thought black suits and taking stuff serious was important so non fans would accept us. Now that its popular and losing steam...I'm all in for accurate xmen with all these strange heroes. But yeah tons of cards, wonder if it will all balance. Yugioh was another where the newer cards always beat older eventually. You had to do antimeta to beat them. I always find a lock down deck in these games that counters all decks eventually but not much fun cause the game eventually starts to move so fast that you know who will win by half game.
I could spend 4 hours daily in Marvel snap and never get a new card the game is filled now with meta P2W deck so I have to pay to have fun and unfortunately some streamers are endorsing this! Kudos to you speci for leaving snap
@@WhateverWhenever888no but it’s basically confirmed that if you don’t keep paying to keep up with cards you lose out on the meta which makes it 10x more harder to climb infinite and conquest. I tested it out on 2 separate accounts and the one where I didn’t pay money at all and just unlocked as I went it took several days even up to weeks longer on the free one because the META shifts suck and are scummy to where if you pay it’s easier. Which means less fun to do other things. In my payed account took maybe 4 hours to hit infinite until I finally stopped trying to get every card and then the time slowly became more and more. Honestly I’m officially quitting snap once rivals releases. The gameplay is fun and everything you buy is cosmetics. Sure characters cost money but it isn’t like this card game where you are forking a lot of money per season to stay in the loop. Plus with the release of arishem it completely ruins skill for the game. I don’t care objectively arishem is the scummiest deck and requires 0 skill he needs complete rework. The fact you get extra energy and the card gives you cards that combat your opponents. I have the card I’ve tested it with friends and it’s eerily busted and require no skill whatsoever and that pissses me off when people are work to be better than others but having a deck where RNG happens is a complete and utter slap to the face. Thankfully rivals is the superhero game I’ve always wanted and know if characters are broken they will be fixed and I’ll never have to worry about it something as stuuuuupud as RNG decks
Great point about the release schedule on meta. It’s not good for the game Too bad they completely lied when they said they were going to focus monetization on cosmetics
As a super small creator for Snap I've been vocal about the monetization and the meta of this game.. How it shifts so quickly that archetypes can die as quickly as they can rise. I find myself just like you Spec that creating content is kind of boring. I also consume a lot of content from other creators, and typically enjoy watching some games, but playing it has gotten BORING. Since I'm high CL I play against the same two decks, and its just not truly fun. Locations have been weird except for Krakoa that's actually a pretty good locations, but repeat locations that don't allow you to play the game. The constant retreats to where you lose mad levels at points because of horrid rng makes it frustrating to play. I'm giving it one more month before I just go on with something different. I don't blame you whatsoever. I agree with majority of the points that you've made.
I'm at a point where the only reason I want to keep playing is to not miss on the new cards being released, this March season was extremely frustrating to me as I couldn't get past 80 while I could on January and February, there's barely anything to do aside from ladder too. It's incredible that a content creator is leaving the game, makes me feel like I'm not the only one not enjoying the game as much.
Pretty much why I play snap. But I don’t mind paying the $10 because I use cash back I accumulate from the previous month so it helps. But besides that, I don’t spend no more than 45-60 min a day or less on others days
@@garygross5686he used to play and even stream during downtime at his real job, but he got too busy there to produce videos, and I imagine at this point he’s been away for long enough returning isn’t appealing since his views will take a hit.
No clue if anything happened other than he stopped making content. I read he was busy with work and then saw some rumors that he got in trouble for making content during work hours and I guess that's why he stopped but NO clue if that's real Just miss the guy he was the best
Youre gwent videos were some of the best content that game produced. Really miss your vids and your fun unique decks but full respect to you youve gotta do whats best for your career and lorcana looks like its the right move. Good luck.
You're definitely not alone, and you've expressed some things that I've been feeling about the game lately too. I'm not a creator or anything just a F2P player but the grind of ladder, the tedium of conquest and the painfully slow/expensive card aquisition has made every day feel like I'm 'ticking boxes' just to maintain some feeling of keeping up with things. And for me, it's all been at the expense of having fun, which is what interested me in the game to begin with. I love Marvel, I collect and read the comics, love the movies, but especially I love the characters, so the 'collection' aspect and the synergies of their abilities is what was fun for me. But yeah that's all taken a back seat to grinding on ladder or trying to get tokens or keys just so I can get the 'next' thing. I'm so glad you mentioned your dislike of the whole 'snap/retreat' mechanic too. I get that it's unique and all, but personally I also find it abhorrent and kind of... I dunno, obnoxious? It seems antithetical to what Marvel is all about for me personally, and adds a kind of gambling element that doesn't sit right with me because maybe I'm just not a competitive type. No shade on anyone who loves that aspect, it's just not for me and is hard to ignore when it's kind of baked into the whole core of the game and is what gets pushed and shouted about the loudest. I watch Regis occasionally too and I've got to say I didn't even notice that he doesn't snap - I kind of love that :) Anyway this has turned into a rant of my own haha - hope you enjoy whetever it is you're passionate about and do next
It's funny you mention the simple deckbuilding as that's one of the things that drew me to the game and keeps me playing. I've been playing Magic: The Gathering almost since the beginning and I played Hearthstone for a few years so I know about deckbuilding. I just don't want to spend that much time building and curating a deck, not to mention the meta can change so much and so fast that it's nice to swap a deck in about 5 minutes rather than spending hours putting a deck together, not to mention if the deck doesn't work you're not out all that time and then the time to craft something new.
Lots of good points. I hate that I spend $10 per month on this game, but I play it all the time and it is simple for a dumb like me. I often wonder if I will ever stop playing it- it fills so much downtime for me and I really do enjoy it. But I hate the monetization model it has turned into.
I have been essentially just doing my missions and quitting. I feel like if I take an actual break from the game I'll get too far behind to ever enjoy it again. I haven't really liked the game for about 3 months now, but keep (naively) hoping things can change for the better.
Same here. I left Hearthstone after playing for the first three years. I never logged in again to even dust my cards, I would be too disgusted lol. 1-2 years is typically my max duration on any game. The sun is setting on my daily Snap obligation. (But not this month. My Hulkamania Deck is killing it!)
I stopped playing, i think like a month a go. I was sick of fact that almost every battle pass is broken AND under pay-wall. And it was on purpose. I can think maybe around 4-5 battle cards that were not meta defining. That if you actually did not pay for were massively disadvantage. And like you said they would not drop you would need to fish for them in crates. Making tokens like extremely useless. I think Marvel Snap have the most predatory economy of any card game i played.
Glad you found a game you have passion for. Will get into Lorcana if I can figure out how to play it on my Chromebook. You're one of my favorite deckbuilders as I used your Surfer Deck with Kingpin for a long time and recently the Legion lockdown deck you made
I agree 100% with everything you said about the feel of the game, the state of the game and the content creator scene. Been following you since the Gwent days and idk you personally and this might sound harsh but is written with the best of intentions. GO BIG OR GO HOME. I hope you get your shot. Best of wishes.
I think you’ve captured where I am with the cyclical nature / repetition of the game and the shark-like commercialism. I do hope other content creators follow suit and speak up. All the best and I hope to continue to see great content from you.
As a casual who usually just plays for 30m-1hr each day, I think Snap has some really fun gameplay, but my biggest dislike is what you mentioned, the Snap/Retreat mechanic. Maybe I'm just too much of an old head CCG player that's stuck in the past lol. Outside of Gwent I've just not really clicked with any of the other online CCGs, I really wanted to like Runeterra but always bounced off. Lorcana looks interesting but I'm same as others in that I'm not really down for playing an unofficial client. It's kinda sad how there seems to be a decent number of good physical card games going, yet there's not much new happening for online.
My biggest issue with the snap mechanic is how it affects balance. Cards like alioth essentially make it sometimes a 5 turn game. And the community just says you are stupid for not retreating. I too don’t like to retreat, I play for fun and want to see how it ends. Except it’s now just “ do they have Shang chi or alioth” on turn 6.
Your decks like curve surfer, deadpool, and high evo thanos (my personal favorite) had serious potential, and I see all of your points about whats wrong of the game, so farewell
It makes sense man, I like Snap a lot, but I only play 15-30 mins a day to keep up with challenges and unlock new cards, its not something I could play for hours in a row
I will miss frequent Speci Snap content but I get it. My brain is not wired for crazy deck building but I wish it was. I have peeped some of your Lorcana streams and vids anyway. I look forward any Snap things you may release down the line and will continue to check in on the Lorcana stuff.
Very good video and I’m starting to try out Lorcana - I’ll give you a follow there. Do you find pixelborn frustrating with everyone having all the cards? Also, I have played SNAP daily since launch and while I like it a lot, it’s getting old. The main reason for daily play is to keep up on resource collection. You feel forced to be in there everyday and I know as soon as I stop playing for a period of time I’ll never be able to come back. Feels bad…
Best of luck Speci. I totally agree with alot of takes. Especially about card acquisition. The old way you were guaranteed to get the season pass into series 3. Right now the season pass cards are locked 6 months until they show up in spotlights and SD controls what you can get with the card. Also it takes that long 6 months to save tokens for S5. And there is no s5 to s4 drop schedule which is another economy buster.
I have a full ink and gold Zabu Sera Surfer deck that I got from one of your videos a year ago. I also lost passion for this game and prefer other card games now.
I respect all your reasons for ditching that game. I couldn’t agree with you more with most of them. The game definitely has become a chore. Sure there’s still a bit of fun to be had but it’s more than 2 years in and still all we have is two game modes. That coupled with the predatory monetization policy, crappy spotlight cache system and pretty mediocre rewards makes it a far less interesting game to play. I find myself playing less and less everyday and eventually I will probably stop altogether as you did. Thanks for all your entertaining snap content in the past! Even if there is lots of competition out there I did find your take on snap at least quite unique. Look forward to seeing your other content in the future. Good luck Speci!
Sad news...I was watching you in Gwent times, then was happy to see you back in Snap, and now you are moving out. Lorcana is not my alley. Also, no mobile client is a no-go for me. Thanks for all your geat content. I wish you tons of success 👍🙂 As a side note, Pockemon Pocket TCG is coming this year and might be a huge player. Perhaps you can keep an eye on it and give it a try once it's released.
I feel you. I was really loving the game last year, but around September I started feeling frustrated. The issue for me is the company and their bonkers monetization. I love the game, but with every passing season I feel like I’m being gouged to compete.
I'm feeling close to quitting as well because I also enjoy the deck building aspect the most. But the game's design awards simply possessing the meta and provides very little reward for deck building skill. I say this as someone who owns the meta cards but finds them boring to use. How do people enjoy just playing Thanos mirror matches all day? Snap desperately needs a draft mode.
Recently snap has been irking me as well but i couldn't put my finger on why and your rant literally just packaged and put a bow on my thoughts and why snap has been bugging me. I think now that you helped me realize that, i can put the game down. On a brighter note. I bought my daughter a Disney booster pack the other weekend and shes pretty interested so ill have to pick up a starter deck for her and myself and i know exactly where ill go for content.
I took 10 months off from the game. I quit half way through the Nimrod season, came back for Black Swan. Having taken the time off,, the game is in a way better place for me now. If I'd not took that time off, I certainly would have full-time, quit too.
Great video Speci! Im glad that you have found some enjoyment from Lorcana! One thing that never sit well with me was the fact that almost every single content creator is partnered with SD and just screams conflict of interest to me. I dropped the game completely just before Loki came out and I genuinely miss playing the game, but I cannot justify supporting it. And the community is full of chucklefucks who carry water for predatory practices and that was too much for me. AH yes final point, your movement guide is the best guide that has ever made for the game and its not even close. Cheers and good luck with Lorcana
I'm a bit late but anyway. Sad to see you go. You made easily my favorite content for the game and it is a hige shame that you lost interest but im hlad you found another game you feel more passionate about. I took a break and got back into the game again recently and honestly while i do agree about some of the issues with card acquisition amd release schedule (in particular the lack of consistent series drops feels terrible) that being said i still enjoy the game even as a free yo play player but i alsp dont take it way to seriously so that plays a big part in that. I still feel the system is more friendly to free to play players than most other similar card games so i dont know but i hope some of the issues get fixed. Anyway that all being said ill definitely look into your lorcana content as i have played it a bit and am definitely interested but I'm still sad to see you go and mote generally sad to see yhe general opinion of the game seem to become far more negative recently even though it's totally understand why.
has a lot of issues. new player and i had no idea you could give textless cards powers. was doing well in conquest then ran into a deck that had all cards i had but with tons of crazy powers on the. got stomp. felt shit and its an awful mechanic.
I totally agree with all your criticism, and I'll add another: the game is highly addictive, and the team absolutely knows it. I believe that's part of the reason you have to "prove" yourself to be 14 now, so they can absolve themselves of guilt and/or liability for hooking kids on gambling. SNAP is essentially heads-up poker with Marvel cards. I'm gonna have to check out Lorcana. All the best with that endeavor, sir 🙏🏾
Yeah I 100% agree with this take! I also really enjoy playing games that are skill based and marvel snap has drifted away from that and seems to be a money grab🤷🏼♂️
The Meta is absolute hot garbage now. People thought Thanos was bad, but this new hand erasing deck that EVERYONE above 80 is playing is enough to make someone just quit.
Good luck dude, thanks for all the content you provided. You were one of the few streamers i follow. Maybe i will check Lorcana, and blame you if i dont like it :p
The despicable anti-consumer predatory business practices that this game thrives upon are what ultimately made me leave the game. Remember when studios made games for enjoyment of others instead of profits? Those were the days…
The $10 a month for a card is rough. It's only $100 a year but for a mobile game, its too much. That's assuming you wont buy anything else but most people who spend money, tend to spend a lot on games.
I'm not sure if its to the fault of the game at all, but the thumbnails for lorcana look so much cleaner than the snap thumbnails. I've noticed this with other creators as well. I'm happy you're following your passion and making content on games you enjoy. Best of luck man, can't wait to learn more about Lorcana through your videos.
Thanks for your content. Watched all the way through. Lorcana is not my kind of game, but it obviously is yours and I wish you luck with your new gaming passion.
well sad to hear you wont be giving me any new speci-decks for snap, but i will keep you in my subs as you're a good streamer and more importantly a good guy! good luck with you're new games and who knows, if you put out some good vids, you might intice me over lol, take it easy pal
What I absolutely don't agree on is that a lower number of cards means lower skill involved in deckbuilding. Magic decks often times only have 9 cards and to claim that Lorcana or something requires more skill in deckbuilding than Magic because of it just seems silly.
I can completely understand why you are walking away from Snap. I took a 6 month break and it was great! I came back and now the game consists of 20-30 min dailies and logging off. The games just not that fun, as you said, it's a mobile game, not a competitive card game. Not much actual deck building going on in it. If you enjoy deckbuilding, I suggest giving Marvel Duel a try (it's not available globally).
I hope this constructive criticism will help you in a future. I subed to you a while back. The reason why I stopped looking at your channel is because you became very spuratic with your appearances compared to other content creators and I don't mean last month or so. I of course can be wrong but it seems like this is just your part-time. Gig where you don't care the output. Regardless I wish you're nothing but luck. Cheers.

I like your cup.
Lol Nina
Dropped that game three weeks ago and im not missing it at all. Good on you bruv!
The comment above me is coping so hard
Getting infinte is just a distraction it doesn't matter and it's something u can do with a pool one deck even with my first month launch account
@@nichescenes Can we talk about how there's probably gonna be at least 60 cards added each year? Its amazing to me
@@spystar18 Yeah, i learned so many xmen characters.
You don’t need to spend money to have fun, fun is subjective
It’s not good for the game
Too bad they completely lied when they said they were going to focus monetization on cosmetics
Definitely agree about the series drops and the monetization. Going to miss your deck builds and hope Lorcana works out for you!
You vocalized a lot of issues I also have with snap, but I didn't realized I have. I'm definitely going to check out your Lorcana channel.
Marvel Snap was the ad on this video where they boasted its F2P and fair

Bro just quit they have us addicted and they never improve them game only the bundle selection
Pretty much why I play snap. But I don’t mind paying the $10 because I use cash back I accumulate from the previous month so it helps. But besides that, I don’t spend no more than 45-60 min a day or less on others days
@@joebowl8315 It definitely feels like an addiction, I get so angry sometimes but I just can't stop.
3:03 man I miss tlsg
dude for real
What happened to TLSG?
@@garygross5686he used to play and even stream during downtime at his real job, but he got too busy there to produce videos, and I imagine at this point he’s been away for long enough returning isn’t appealing since his views will take a hit.
Bro I didn't even realized until now. Feels bad
No clue if anything happened other than he stopped making content.
I read he was busy with work and then saw some rumors that he got in trouble for making content during work hours and I guess that's why he stopped but NO clue if that's real
Just miss the guy he was the best
I left Snap 2 months ago, after a year of constant every day playing. New RNG way of getting cards is just something I really do not like.
Paywall cards and no series drops. And constantly changing cards after people pay for them.
I watch Regis occasionally too and I've got to say I didn't even notice that he doesn't snap - I kind of love that :)
Anyway this has turned into a rant of my own haha - hope you enjoy whetever it is you're passionate about and do next
The last video Spec made with that move deck was great. That deck was so good.
If you made a complete newbies intro to Lorcana video, sort of just explaining the game id love to watch that!
I'm glad you've found another game you can pour your passion into!
Lots of good points. I hate that I spend $10 per month on this game, but I play it all the time and it is simple for a dumb like me. I often wonder if I will ever stop playing it- it fills so much downtime for me and I really do enjoy it. But I hate the monetization model it has turned into.
I stopped when I realized $10 a month is $120 a year, that’s just so much for 12 new cards loo
My Hulkamania Deck is killing it!)
best of luck on the Lorcana content. I personally don't play or plan too so I wont be along for the ride but I wish you ALL the best
It was a great ride Speci and please do what you need to do be happy and I’ll definitely be checking in on the Lorcana !
Appreciate the honesty, your points are more than valid. Best of luck with chasing your passion
Will miss your Snap content. Still love playing your Elektra/Jugg deck.
Monetization is crazy, i have more than 10k hild and no decent bubdle in sight. Also bundles of 100 dolars and more are crazy stupid.
Had every card up to like 6 months ago and I got sick of chasing and playing decks I didn't like to keep up and actually compete.
Good luck Speci!
seeing this popup and I'm reminded I still miss gwent  hope lorcana works out well for you!
Great video, and frankly i think many more creators share your frustruations/experiences but don't want to vocalize it. Best of luck with lorcana!
14:20 yeah, I can see that.
I'm 1 month in and might quit, game is super rigged against new players.
Yeah I wish I came to this conclusion before I spent a stupid amount of money on this game... Mistakes were made
Sad news...I was watching you in Gwent times, then was happy to see you back in Snap, and now you are moving out.
I bought my daughter a Disney booster pack the other weekend and shes pretty interested so ill have to pick up a starter deck for her and myself and i know exactly where ill go for content.
great video, a lot of these issues need to get pointed out more
I took 10 months off from the game.
Can you suggest a good card game? (I played Hearthstone, Gwent and LotR) Recently I quit Marvel Snap and i’m looking for something new…
Simply sounds like the overlap of you as a content creator didn't overlap with Snap.
Not much discussion of the game itself.
has a lot of issues. new player and i had no idea you could give textless cards powers. was doing well in conquest then ran into a deck that had all cards i had but with tons of crazy powers on the. got stomp. felt shit and its an awful mechanic.
Cheers, Speci. You’ve made some sick decks back in Gwent. Maybe I’m late here, but have you ever considered playing magic the gathering?
good to hear you are enjoying new horizons speci!
Hope you're doing okay speci
I totally agree with all your criticism, and I'll add another: the game is highly addictive, and the team absolutely knows it. I believe that's part of the reason you have to "prove" yourself to be 14 now, so they can absolve themselves of guilt and/or liability for hooking kids on gambling. SNAP is essentially heads-up poker with Marvel cards.
I'm gonna have to check out Lorcana. All the best with that endeavor, sir 🙏🏾
Cozy yes, Regis yes, KMB yes, Alex Coccia BIG YES, Dekkster - no, imposter
Yeah I 100% agree with this take! I also really enjoy playing games that are skill based and marvel snap has drifted away from that and seems to be a money grab🤷🏼♂️
The Meta is absolute hot garbage now. People thought Thanos was bad, but this new hand erasing deck that EVERYONE above 80 is playing is enough to make someone just quit.
They REALLY need a new set release schedule
you're an inspiration and I will support you no matter what passion you pursue.
Definitely not a fun game anymore
Good luck dude, thanks for all the content you provided. You were one of the few streamers i follow. Maybe i will check Lorcana, and blame you if i dont like it :p
Yo specimen not again fam wtf i love your channel hope you reconsider i wish you the best G.
The despicable anti-consumer predatory business practices that this game thrives upon are what ultimately made me leave the game. Remember when studios made games for enjoyment of others instead of profits? Those were the days…
Can i have your account?
bro I am missing so many cards you don't want my account
The $10 a month for a card is rough. It's only $100 a year but for a mobile game, its too much. That's assuming you wont buy anything else but most people who spend money, tend to spend a lot on games.
I hate the locations in Snap. I think it was nothing but a gimmick idea to help the algorithm rig matches to keep your win rate around 50%-55%.
Why dont you try MTG Arena?
Why I quit Snap?

Amen!
I'm so exhausted by that ridiculous and non-interactive trash pile of an archetype.
how can you be a content creator and not buy the season pass
Sad to say this is the first time the RUclips Algo even showed me your content 😢
Subbed. I'm gonna check out Lorcanna
Agreed! I improved my thumbnails a lot for Lorcana
Thanks for your content. Watched all the way through. Lorcana is not my kind of game, but it obviously is yours and I wish you luck with your new gaming passion.

As a content creator you are a voice of the community. Thanks for that, even if you decide to quit.
well sad to hear you wont be giving me any new speci-decks for snap, but i will keep you in my subs as you're a good streamer and more importantly a good guy!
good luck with you're new games and who knows, if you put out some good vids, you might intice me over lol, take it easy pal
Man I do miss Gwent 😢
What I absolutely don't agree on is that a lower number of cards means lower skill involved in deckbuilding. Magic decks often times only have 9 cards and to claim that Lorcana or something requires more skill in deckbuilding than Magic because of it just seems silly.
For me, Snap performs worse the more they add to it. The lag drives me insane to the point that I dread playing it.
I always look for a streamer with a low viewer count.
so back to GWENT!!
Not the best timing on April Fools lol
I also not enjoyed it as much as I used to, more of a chore too
I hope this constructive criticism will help you in a future. I subed to you a while back. The reason why I stopped looking at your channel is because you became very spuratic with your appearances compared to other content creators and I don't mean last month or so. I of course can be wrong but it seems like this is just your part-time.
