This has been so helpful to me. I'm so sorry you went through this. I'm currently going through this with my son and I'm going to push for a ENT referral.

My baby is 8 months. He was diagnosed a month old. It was a very hard months for me and not able to sleep. And exclusive breastfeeding. Question is, is there time your baby sounds sick? My baby always has this sound in his throat. And always has cough. And as he would cough, his air way seems to be is about to close and have hard time breathing. And tried give him soft food and he would gag.

You may want to get a swallow study done if you haven't yet. Sorry for the delayed response. My little guy- almost 3- still snores. But when he was under 1 he was very gargly and would stop breathing at night plus choke ALOT while nursing. We worked with an occupational therapist to transition to solids and around feeding in general

My pediatrician agreed she has a floppy air way but didn't mention laryngomalacia, she didn't seem worried and acted like it wasn't a big deal even though my babies choking every feed and gaining weight very slow. How did you go about asking for an ENT referral?

I just asked for it. Called and said I would like an ENT referral. Get a second opinion from another ENT as well! Good luck!

My son is 7 weeks and diagnosed today. He’s gaining weight fine but his strydor is scary. He does it while eating, sleeping, anytime really. Thanks for sharing your story. I hope he grows out of it soon, it really is stressful. He has awful gas, he chokes a lot, gets very uncomfortable after feeds, will stop breathing and flail his arms and gasp for air.

Hi Natasha! Thanks for watching. Mine was the same. He gained perfectly but had all the same issues you mentioned. I highly recommend Occupational Therapy weekly. It helps so much for your own sanity too! Also- check for a tongue tie. But my little guy had terrible gas and feedings too. My son got better around 8 months. There's hope! It's just very stressful in the meantime.

I'm going through the same thing now. I've been brushed off by my gp twice saying he just has mucus in his throat...

Hi! Yes. Thankfully he was! I was nursing him around the clock bc he couldn't take too much at a time however.

For the most part. However, when he gets sick- his breathing takes a hit and he usually ends up needing steroid and nebulizer treatments
