- “In a Minute” series videos show a quick, narration-free look at what’s currently on my workbench, always under a minute!
In this video, I’m attaching a 5oz leather pocket to a waxed canvas shop apron. I use a a sewing machine and then reinforce the stress points with copper rivets. Hope you enjoy this quick one as well as my other more in-depth videos! Cheers!

Great tutorial. Would love to see the entire process of making your apron.
That would be cool! I'll try to do that! Thank you for watching!
I second the motion
That stamp is massive!! Will last forever
It's a beefy one! :)
Interesting. Kind of like a 'Cliff Notes' of leather technique videos. I suppose knowing basic techniques helps understand what you are doing. The order of your assembly is very helpful. Thank you.
Yes, Cliffs Notes is a great way to put it! Most of my videos will be longer and more instructive, but I kind of enjoy making (and watching) these quick ones as well! Thanks for watching, Bruce!
Looks great. Can’t wait to get started in this hobby myself.
Awesome, I love to hear that! Hopefully you will find some helpful info here! Let me know if there's ever anything specific you'd like to learn as you get started, Eric!
Mmm that blue canvas is neat. Different to what I expected.
Yeah, I love that color too! I found some neat colors at Big Duck Canvas.
Looking forward to more videos!
Thanks so much, Tim! I can't wait to make more! I've got lots of ideas for longer videos as well, but hopefully these short ones will be fun and helpful too!
great job! love your videos.
Awesome! Thank you so much for watching them!
I still owe u that list of tools. Will get that done this weekend.
Yessir, thank you!
You make it look so easy! Very cool man!
Thank you, Ethan!
this looks awesome !
I'm half way to making my own apron but not sure how to do the straps do you have a vid on this process at all ?
No video yet-- I'll work out a good design (this was the prototype) and try to do a video! Thanks so much for watching!
Sweet! G
Fantastic!!! What is the glue tape you are using? that is something I haven't tried yet.
It's a double sided tape I got from Buckle Guy!
@@ClaridgeLeather awesome thanks! I just uploaded a video about leather tools the other day if you are interested. Cheers!
Hi Tanner! Where did you find the burnishing wheel for your Dremel?? I’m looking to purchase one but I haven’t had luck finding one similar to the one you have. Thank you!
I got mine from Crimson Hides (purchased directly from them), but it looks like you can also find some on Amazon or Etsy if you search for “cocobolo burnisher.” Good luck!
what tools did you use to be able to do that?
i am looking into making aprons myself so id like to know which tools i need to be able to get my leather looking as pristine as youurs?
Which specific parts of the process are you curious about?
Can you hand stitch leather to canvas with stitching chisels.thanks
I don’t see why not! Even if someone says you can’t... I’d give it a try! 😄 Just make sure the two materials are well-adhered so nothing shifts on you between making holes and stitching! Let us know how it works!
HI Tanner, I sent you a DM to your IG page with a question...Thanks @betterleathergoods
show off...lol
Nevertheless, I appreciate you taking the time to watch. Hopefully you find something helpful here!
@@ClaridgeLeather I love your new channel and wasn't trying to be sarcastic. Just a haha pal.
