  • In this episode i finally found one of Bundaberg's Best kept secret spots. I have read fishing articles and even asked locals that all seemed to refer to this "Hole in the Wall" but no one would tell me exactly where it was.
So after a scouring Google Earth i finally found what i suspected was this little hidden Gem people were talking about. And after a little planning decided the only way to get there was to get into to Kayak and cross the river...
Did i find the right spot? and what was the fishing going to be like? Well.. You'll have to watch and find out if this is truly one of Bundaberg's Best kept secrets.
A little Hint... I probably shouldn't have made this Video!!!!!

Thanks kindly Mate. Glad you enjoyed the video 😁 It's Definitely a great little spot to check out. Before i bought my Kayak, I did look into hiring a yak to see if i would like using one. So if you were really keen, you can hire them from Koastal Kayaks locally. Let me know if you ever get the chance to get out there.

Nice video. Just a couple of questions if I may. What sort of depth in the entrance and does it dry at ow tide? Looks like a nice quiet spot to spend a night on my trailer sailer. Seeing that tinny come through, is that the cut through to Skyringville? Cheers.

Hey John. Glad you enjoyed the Vid. On an Average high tide I would say there is easily 1 Meter of clearance as you cross the rock wall. however you window will be limited. low tide is unpassable via boat. That hole though is at least a couple meters deep and you could just leave you boat anchored on the shoreline just inside the rock wall and catch it on the next high tide. 100% that is the cut through for Skyringville. It's a beautiful little spot. I've considered a night camp/fish right there. Good Luck mate. 👍

Many thanks for your reply. I'd looked at the satellite and seemed like it dried just wasn't sure how much there might be at high. 18" should give me clearance. I can pick a time for entering and leaving on high. I'll just anchor bow to shore and stern anchor so I can toss a line if I feel like it. Also.can have a beer without being bothered lol.
      Again many thanks

Would love to sit and fish here but so many people go flying through in boats I don’t feel to safe 😅

yeah, you do get that, but if you time it right when the tides down low, boats cant make it over the rocks so you have a little peace for a few hours :P

@@crazycarnolady2323 Aww Thank you! That just made my day mate. I'm prepping myself to get back into making videos again. Life happened and things got bad for me. But i miss it and Fishing has given me some of best days over the last couple years. Good luck out there, Should be some big breambo's hanging out down near the rock walls at the mouth of the Burnett River right now.
