You forgot to mention the most important thing about this receiver - the Wadley-Barlow Loop technology that in fact makes it almost completely free of drift after a very short warm-up period.
The audio is simply fantastic on the FRG-7, neither tinny nor muddy. I far prefer it over my Drake R8a, where I get listener fatigue after a few minutes of listening
