Bought mine from place in Ohio and had em add DSP back then and heated crystal for stability and a filter. It is a fav! Love this radio for general use. It's no W&J, Ten-Tec, Rhode & Schwartz (my fav), Icom 9500 or Collins like is used for government use (serious use) but it does enough to be worthy of home use. Solidly built. Top five along with Drake for non rackmount non highend, mid range, general use.
I bought an R75 several years ago with AM sync. I sent it to Kiwa for their sync module and all other mods offered. It's a wonderful receiver. I run it with an active mini-whip antenna in a PVC pipe at about 25 feet in Arlington, Texas. Long-time follower, thanks for your videos!
@@DonSolaris Yep....Like I said, Kiwi did a complete tune including the AM sync module. NR and passband tuning are very affective. Combined with a West Mountain Radio CLRspkr DSP speaker, it does a great job.

you will have to modify it for sync AM to work properly though.

I got mine from Japan! Sits snug on my desk with a dust cover. Great show!
The best shortwave receiver is the communications receiver.
