How do I get to heaven? Will my good deeds be measured against my bad deeds? Do I need to be a good person to go to heaven? How do I know if I'm good enough? Well the bible says no man is good, for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. So how do we get to heaven? Answer: By believing on Jesus Christ who took the punishment for our sin on the cross. There are no amount of good works we can do to achieve salvation because salvation is a free gift of God. We need to humble ourselves, realize we are sinners and that we need a savior. John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave his only son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
I finally got my cousin to buy a used tundra . He lives in baja in a small town as a fisherman. The closest mechanic is 2 hours away . The mechanic and him were good friends . They would see each other on a regular basis until he bought the Tundra seven years ago . Friendship isn’t as good as it used to be .
Had ford, dodge,Chevy, gmc and then went for the Tundra. I am now a Tundra man for now on. I got this Tundra in 2015 and have not had one hiccup. We had issues with the other trucks like electrical, transmission, ecoboost, fuel pumps, brakes ect. I wish I had started out with the Tundra from the beginning and yes made in Texas. 2015 Toyota Tundra Crewmax v8 iforce. A true v8 with no complications.
craigsclocks When you put no new technology and sell the same exact design and power output from 20 years ago, yes it will be more reliable, but some people use their trucks, not just drive it like a camry
I Love Tacos Js And I Had Gsr Honda Built My Buddy Stole His Dads Blue Iforce Them Bitches Are Fast Fast So I Started Stealing All Wheel Drives Sequoias Imagine That Drive Train N A Camry Or All Wheel Trive Tacoma Unlike Alot Of People I Love Time ♤
Way back 2007 I asked my Uncle if I could buy his 1996 4runner (300k plus miles)since he just bought a Bmw 5series. He said "No...i'll give the 4runner to your cousin" 😁
The Raptor wins in the performance, features, and technology. The Tundra wins when it comes to durability, reliability, towing, and payload. The Tundra is also $19,000 cheaper than the Raptor but the oldest of all current full-size trucks. The winner is base on individual preference. As a Tundra owner for 8 years and more to come, my vote is for the Tundra. It is the best vehicle I've ever owned and kept the longest.
@@iHernandez620 It's still a truck just because it's not for towing doesn't mean it can't tow lmao. I see Tundras towing stuff on the regular. So I'm not really sure what your point is.
@@iHernandez620 You are entitled to your view. Not sure whose been an idiot here. The video took every aspects of the both trucks. I was simply giving where each truck did well and that makes me an idiot? I guess you just proved yourself.. If the Raptor works for you, that's great!!!
I used to own a Ford F-150, great truck until it hit 37k miles then I couldn't keep it out of the repair shop. Had both mechanical and electrical issues, totally lost all trust that it would get me where I was going. Traded it in and took a thumping on the trade in value but wanted to go back to a Tundra. The Tundra is a great reliable truck, no issues whatsoever, its more American then most people realize. Engineered in Ann Arbor MI, engine is built in Huntsville, Alabama and then the final assembly takes place at the Toyota facility in San Antonio, Texas. Love it.
Family owns a 2000 Tundra Trd 4x4 ... 379k still going strong, we also have a 2016 4Runner Limited 4x4 ... 245k still going strong. Reg maintenance & change fluids. That’s it.
@@moresomoze I put 200 miles a day on my truck. I have to drive across the state for work 6 days a week. Can't afford to live where I work. What's so hard to believe about someone putting 170 a day on?
Shoulda compared the Richard petty tundra to the raptor, supercharged with 550hp they’re around the same price point too. Not many know about that truck
I did just that w a used 2013 Tundra a few years back, had 35,000 miles. For under 40 I had a supercharged Tundra (505hp)with a Bullydog Tuner ~550hp, with dual exhaust sounding mean. It was a Raptor Eater. Their ride quality is unsurpassed. I have on the Ford, Chevy’s, and GMC’s. The Toyota is in a class by itself
My 2015 F-150 has only been to the mechanic only for oil changes and manual required maintenance. It currently has 67,000 miles.. My previos 04 F-150 in eleven years only had the starter replaced once for $300 and a broken SNAP RING in the transmission that cost me $160 to fix and $10 for the part. Sure did Go places.
I have to go with the Tundra. I have a Tundra that's almost at 300,000 miles with no major issues. The reliability is unbelievable. Now the Raptor has always been one of my dream vehicles before the price I'm not sure if it's worth it in the long run. I value reliability and durability.
Being a Master Technician for Toyota for 13 years, plus Master A.S.E. Tech! I had co worker friends that worked for Ford 10 plus years, they were also Master Tech’s, everyone one of them hands down loved the Toyota! Simplicity, Engineering, Longevity, and piece of mind is what Toyota is all about! The Ford Master Tech’s, said Ford has a lot of Problems and warranty issues! Hands Down Toyota is the Best in the World! Where in the World can a Truck surpass 1 Million Miles as the Toyota Tundra!
Simon Assouline maybe the old ones? The old 22r sure. These new tacos are basic and shit just like the rest. Toyota like everyone else built a name then sold off it. But then went to cheaper inferior parts and design for profits. Hence the crap brakes & fires 🔥 air bags yada yada yada. Toyota is garbage off road period.
Growing up in the '80's, I remember Toyota commercials. Where were you, when your truck hit 100, 200, 300,000 miles? Then a few years later... 1,000,000 miles! Still love me some Raptor, though.
Ford has mastered the natural aspirated engines. The raptor has a high output turbo that stresses the engine way too much. Toyota's can quite literally go for a million miles lol but fords are good too you just got to make sure its naturally aspirated. None of that turbo shit if you want reliability lol.
Raptor does look awesome but the Tundra is more reliable, hauls and tows more. Has a 6.5 foot bed and the whole rear window rolls down. Hopefully they upgrade the interior for 2021. I may just be ready to trade in my 2014 TRD
Dave Lewis I see it must have gone up. This year was 9,200 for double and 8,800 for crew. My buddy has the 2019 pro and it does squat pretty low with the fox springs.
Long-term reliability, I'd go for the Tundra by far! I own a Tundra 2013 XSP-X trim and still runs like brandnew like it was in day one; with this pandemic this truck wins, no brainer. Haters gonna hate! My two cents.
I just like Toyota for it's reliability and quality of manufacturing. I get the feeling the Toyota will give you better service in the long run. I currently have a 2015 Toyota Sequoia Platinum and it is a dream to drive. It is also said it lasts for ever with normal maintenance.
This is getting old already. I love Ford and Toyota trucks. They are in a different class. I wish people would stop comparing these two trucks. There is a reason for the 20k difference in price. The raptor has a $20k suspension and frame upgrade, while the TRD pro has a really nice set of coil overs and some leather. Yall should do a TRD pro vs Ram Rebel. That would be more fair.
Please tell what about the Gen2 Raptor frame is trash?...and its control arms?...please give examples.. Not SVT anymore?...Really!....its the same department and guys..all that's changed is the name...
Jd power did a 3 year reliability test, the Tundra finished #1, Ford and Chevy didn't even make the list. I've owned all brands of trucks and SUV's The Tundra is my favorite overall. You know what FORD stands for. fix or repair daily
I like your comments . After own 3 ford vehicle they break for no reason.. My family decided to stay away from ford . ford cheap snd affordable but break dowb and garbage. I have a Tundra it make me feel safe.
Can attest to this. My brand new Ford’s transmission took a shit after two weeks of owning it. Drove it out to Texas from California during the holidays last year and it was a nightmare. Never buying a ford again
Had to lemon law my tundra. All you dummies screaming about tundras lasting a million miles, those days are long gone. The interior was cheap plastic shit also. I got a really good deal when I bought it, $15k off msrp. Worst mistake ever. Worse quality than FCA
I’m a Ford guy, have been my whole life. I’m from the muscle car era and liked all the Detroit muscle but the Mustang was always my favorite. That not only led to me owning 30 different Stangs in my lifetime, but driving mostly Ford trucks as well. I tried the occasional GM or Dodge truck, but always came back to Ford. Not anymore. I’ve still got 3 Mustangs currently, but my truck is a Toyota and will remain so in the future. My V8 might be slightly down on power comparatively and might not be as economical as the F150, but I KNOW it’s built better and will last longer ! I’ve had to do major repairs on almost every Ford truck I’ve owned including a 7.3 Powerstroke. My Toyota truck is coming up on 300,000 miles and still runs like new with only routine maintenance. I won’t even start on panel gaps and material quality as the Toyota is in a completely different league than the Ford. Obviously everyone makes their own choice. Toyota doesn’t make a Pony car so I have a Mustang, but their trucks are DEFINITELY better !
The difference between the raptor and the tundra of 19K can be made up easily with custom work for half of the cost difference. Also reliability of Toyota is where it shines.
I prefer Toyota reliability. I had a 07 Tundra with 275,000.00 miles and it still drove the same as when in bought it with 108,000.00. Prior to that had a Sierra, I drove strong, but broke down 3 times in a year, and prior to that has a Ford F-150 and gas mileage was about 15$ a day on a 6 mile a day commute and sluggish overall performance. Used a ram for work, great truck, but a huge gas guzzler. By Far the Tundra was my favorite.
No comparison, Toyota Tundra crewmax is 381 hp. It is a true truck. My 2016 has 55,000 miles and all I had to do was replace a belt. Never going back to Ford, Chevy or Dodge. Tundra 4 life
Exactly!!! And the Tundra will go 10+ years without problems. 3 of my friends have the 3.5 eco boost and they seem to be broken 20% of the year. And the 20% problems happened within the first three years. I can't imagine how many problems you would have with the Raptor at 10 years.
@@functionalfitness1013 your right Joe. 2017 f150 3.5 radiator at 70,000 miles. Transmission completely shot at 74,000 and I never towed or hauled anything.. Last Ford I will ever buy
Tundra also won baja1000 ,I believed that's offroad n other truck had to be tow or drag a day later, to finished line also hit 1mill mile ,so that should say something off or on road
No way in hell you can say with a straight face that you would take that old ass tundra over a raptor. It’s definitely more reliable but come on let’s be realistic.
Quaran Jones old ass ? 😂 I love the way the raptor looks, thing has a badass aggressive look, but I’d take a tundra over a old ass raptor that’ll keep you on the side of the road calling AAA. Let’s be honest
832568ful if I’m not mistaken the raptor also had terrible gas mileage and has less towing capacity than a tundra. I’ve had fords and Toyota’s and guess which one has left me on the side of the road. The ford. If you want a truck that you can actually use and not just to look pretty buy a Toyota
jrowarrior a raptor can literally go 70mph through dunes and hit actual jumps and has different modes for different terrains. You sound like a fool saying a land cruiser is better than a raptor off-road.
Tundra trd pro all the way, i just got mine 3 weeks ago, i can afford either but the raptor is an overated f-150 that costs too much, and its always in the shop i would put my tundra against a raptor anytime....
I have a travel trailer weighing in at 9000lbs , I been towing it with my 2019 trd pro voodoo blue going on 20k miles and a year 3 months now..Never had a issue, I do like the way the raptor look and was even considering trading my tundra for one but then I saw the towing capacity of the raptor and the reliablity of it ,I I was like I'm good..Anyone ever heard of the trd pro exhaust when you have the towing mode is on? The V8 sounds so beast !
The Raptor is The King. I love the Tundra but the Raptor would kill it in what it was designed to do. These Tundra fanboys making comments don't like the Raptor simply because they can't afford one. EVERY SINGLE GUY SAYING TUNDRA WOULD JUMP AT THE CHANCE TO OWN A RAPTOR!! Tundra guys enjoy your great truck and it's reliability. The interior still needs to be improved but otherwise it's a great pick-up. The Raptor kicks ass off road and drives like a Sports car on the pavement.
As others have stated here, there is no contest. Each vehicle is aimed at a totally different market. Raptor lots of fun, looks badass, nothing beats it out in the desert. Tundra, a working truck first, off road capable, yes. Beat a Raptor in the desert. No chance. I’ve driven 3 Raptors Gen 1 stock, Gen1 supercharged, Gen 2. Crazy amounts of fun. Awesome cool technology almost too much in the Gen2 802a Just be prepared to pay for it with upkeep or repairs. I own a Tundra Platinum Pro, 3 yrs and no trips other than oil changes and scheduled service. I love it, but it’s no where near as fun as a raptor. It’s so reliable with “glacial” depreciation. Bought it for $48,600 in Jan 2017. Offered $37k for a trade in (against a 2019 Raptor) and 40,200 privately on Black Friday. $10k depreciation in 3 yrs is nearly as good as a Gen1 Raptor. I’m happy with it.
Who won the baja1000 ?? Again desert, mud, snow, etc iron man ivan n tundra I also own gen 1,2 raptors n sell a few at my lots, n own doublecab, n still have it today with 1 oil change sit at 5144mile sit n just park in the garage lots of fun,
Howard Stern raptors aren’t 90k. A Shelby raptor is about 100k and your crappy tundra will not even come close to that beast. And your “long travel” is modified. I’d like to run my modified raptor against your turdra. All you’ll be doing is collecting rock chips
A raptor is a high performance, high powered monstrous truck that isnt meant for the faint of heart, a tundra is a Toyota Camry with a bed, comparing apples to oranges.
Diez Nutz ford f-150 raptor: 450hp/ 510lb-ft torque toyota tundra trd pro: 381hp/ 401lb-ft torque is the trd pro anything better than the raptor except for the towing capacity? It's an off-road truck, not a truck designated for towing things. get a f-250 or f-350 if you want a super-towing truck. The primary reason why people buy the raptor is cuz of the sporty look of it and its off-road capability. Of course higher towing capacity can be a advantage, but I guess the people who buy those don't consider that as an issue.
Diez Nutz the regular f150 with the v6 can tow 12,000lbs, the only reason the raptor can only tow 8,000lbs is because of the crazy long travel off-road suspension, the raptor can easily tow that much too, just need a set of timbrens...
Audi RS7 yea the only reason the towing is limited on the raptor is because of the long travel suspension, you can easily make a raptor tow 10,000+ lbs with bigger bump stops.
Just bought the a Raptor, but have owned Toyota’s previously. Having been in both: there is nothing to compare, Raptor you get Status, Off / R performance, On / R performance, features, luxury and looks. Yes, yes with Toyota you do get prob better reliability, yet in my 2013 Ford F-150 XLT I ever had a single issue and took it deep off road a lot. Plus, owners of Raptors will pay extra for the small reliability issue here and there to tell people, IM A BOSS!
@@wayne246 So will the Ford, or any truck if maintained well. There has to be a reason why F150 is the best selling pickup truck for all these years. If they break down frequently, no one should be buying them right?
Great review. Anyone that uses the tailgate step needs to evaluate their life. 2016 Tundra here, 113k and still rolling, no plans on driving anything else for another 10 years out here in the CO mountains. Raptor is def a beast though.
Tundra all day. Toyota builds quality always have always will. The raptor is nice but Toyota keeps its value so high for a reason! They're built to live extremely long..
I love the Ford Raptor looks but when it comes to reliabiity and popularity BUT throughout the years Toyota is always the best when it comes to dependability and reliability.
The Raptor looks pretty good, but I think the first generation looked much cooler and had more of an offroad vibe. When I see the new Raptor the term "Highway Queen" springs to mind. Can't help it. The Tundras look great
I traded in my 2015 Tundra for a 2019 Raptor. No regrets. Ford is ahead of the game in this category and quite frankly on top by themselves. Ford placed so much research and resources into the Raptor program, others can't come close...
Are you having issues at start up? I’ve had mine for 3 months and already had it code and not move on me twice. One time rough idling and puttering the other just running but wouldn’t go in gear. Both times codes cleared after restart
@@Southpaw11 Wow, that doesn't sound good...I haven't had this issue with mine. One thing with mine, on cold starts when using remote start, I hear a louder rattle coming from underneath...doesn't do it throughout the day...I'll bring it up when I get my oil changed.
1word baja1000 winner on or off road and 1275mile tru all terrains TUNDRA TRD PRO finished the race 1st n didn't have to be tow or drag a day later that said something right
The tundra is not what it used to be. These Toyota nerds are relying on the old school Toyota tanks that lasted forever. They haven’t been that way for at least 5 years. Toyota quality has gone downhill. It’s no longer the most reliable brand and will continue to slip down the rankings
If you "need" more toys to play with in your truck, get a ford. If you want a truck that's sufficient for any job you throw at it. It doesn't have all the toys to play with but it's NEVER in the shop. It's out there waiting to go to work when you are.
I have owned both, I will have to say the Raptor is on a whole new level of smiles per gallon. I liked my Tundra don’t get me wrong, but the Raptor wins hands down. Both are great trucks in their own class, this video fails to mention they aren’t even in the same class of trucks.
@@gregmsnow ??? thats downright not true. i like toyota and especially tundra's but it is just a fact that the raptor is faster. however, if you get a trd supercharger on there, you got a competition.
Jeff X and you still won’t be able to afford one. Lol! I love my 2019 Raptor. I get rid of cars every 2 years so reliability is almost something I never look at.
guy proulx I gave my sister my 2012 mustang gt that I abused and tracked. It has 110k miles and it is running strong. I currently own a 2019 mustang gt 10 speed with performance package 1 and a 2019 Raptor supercrew. I’ll be getting the GT500 in a couple of years and whatever the baddest truck is at that time as well. Ford gives you amazing bang for your dollar. I have also owned a 2014 evo x gsr and a 2018 Dodge Charger RT/Scat pack with dynamics package. Like I said, I get rid of cars pretty fast. I’ve purchased 5 new cars since 2012. What you drive lil buddy? Shit, I forgot about my first ford which was a 2005 Ford Focus zxw wagon (salvage title). That thing is still running strong. Ford makes great cars. I can easily afford German cars but to me, they are simply overpriced.
guy proulx I’ve had a great experience with them. I had the 2005 Ford Focus zxw since 2008 and just recently gave it to my mother in law. Like I said. The 2012 mustang gt I gave to my sister was abused and tracked and it is still running strong. For the money, Ford gives you great performance. I’ll list the prices I got my cars brand new for not including Cali taxes and license fees. All bought brand new too. 2012 mustang gt automatic: $25,500 2014 evo x gsr: $30,999 2018 Dodge Charger rt/scat pack with dynamics package: $37,400 2019 mustang gt 10 speed automatic with performance package 1: $35,758 2019 ford raptor supercrew base model with $3,855 worth of added options (custom order): $61,190 I’m basically a car buying professional. I know how to get the price down. Only reason I paid MSRP for the raptor is because it was a custom order and I didn’t want a 2018 which I could have bought for under MSRP. In Cali, they still mark the Raptors up so I did pretty good there. Custom ordered it at MSRP. I did my research. No other truck would give me the excitement that my Raptor gives me. I’m telling you. It’s an amazing truck. Feels so good dipping in it. No Camry or Corolla will give me the excitement that my Mustang gives me. I get cars to have fun in them with. I don’t get cars to keep forever. I might hold on to a few cars but those would just be to let the family borrow. Anyways, what do you drive?
guy proulx I’ve had a great experience with Ford, therefore, I will continue to buy Ford. You can’t name a better off road truck because the Raptor is literally in its own category. A reliable Honda Civic or Toyota Corolla is not going to have the same performance as a mustang gt. I make a lot of money. I buy cars to have fun in, not keep for decades. I’m not saying Ford is the most reliable. What do you drive?
guy proulx You can’t afford to buy vehicles for fun right? I bought the Raptor as my big boi toy. I don’t expect you to understand if you are not on my level. Cars are actually the least of my expenses. I spend much more on other shit. Toyota and Honda doesn’t even make anything that compares to Ford performance vehicles: Raptor, mustang, gt500, gt350. I actually track my cars and go off-roading with them. You must be challenged if you don’t understand that those “reliable” brands don’t offer anything for people trying to live life to the fullest. You have poor boi mentality so you don’t get it. Sucks to be poor. I grew up poor so I know first hand. What do you drive? Civic or Corolla? Won’t say? Don’t be embarrassed. You talk shit but you drive a Civic.
You are absolutely right... it is not a fair comparison as the Toyota Tundra is by far way superior than any other truck out there. While I love the way the Raptor looks, the Tundra is just a different monster, and nothing can compare to its power, looks, and more importantly RELIABILITY.
All men are guilty of sin. Repentance means to turn away from your sin. For example, if you are a liar you stop lying. Repenting is not just saying sorry, it is saying sorry and not continuing to do that sin. Sin is what separates us from God. God sent his son Jesus to die for our sins. Meaning Jesus took the punishment for our sins on the cross. If we believe on Jesus our sins can be washed away, and God will remember them no more. If we reject the son of God and continue in sin we will be under Gods wrath(hell fire). Repent today and believe on Jesus Christ, and recieve the free gift of eternal life.
My 2010 Tundra... Big old tires for 35 tire profile on black 18s"; 4 inch... And other stuff..... And when I park next to my buddy who bought himself a new 2020 Raptor.... Who's Truck do you think looks more menacing? My Tundra makes his beauty queen played out Raptor looks tiny and unassuming. The Raptor essentially looks the same and Raptor is always in the repair shop after it's broken in. There's nothing like the sound of that V8 in the Tundra. My back seat space in my Crewmax Tundra is much larger than the Raptor. Also, Toyota actually dropped the towing number just for safety. It actually can safely tows 10,300 pounds very easily because of huge 430 rear end that are normally found on Heavy Duty trucks. If you wanna truck as a toy that starts breaking alot... Get a Raptor. But if you want a reliable dependable work truck everyday driver..... Get a Tundra. I'm bias, but I still think the Tundra is still the best looking truck on the market.
Skabanis Malaka yes, how come we just don’t all drive black Toyotas;) with pimp street locs and noisy mud terrains, fake clearance lights, no matching spare tire, limo tint all around, smoked head and tail lights, Carbon look license plate frames, etc! Half burnt out Chinese LED light bars..Sperm whale blue headlight bulbs! Bushwacker fake riveted fender flares!
I love cars/trucks and I've had them all from Dodge to Toyota Chevy and there's a reason I'm in my 3rd Raptor. Looks handling and overall performance is hands down the best in a truck IMO...
How can it be the best if you’d purchased 2 more after the first in 10 years... either you’ve had major issues, or weren’t really happy and needed an upgrade
@@ryanohning7797 Gave the 1st one to my son, 2nd truck is my daily. Never really had any issues with any of them and I off road often. Again it's just my opinion!

@@ericko7756 how many miles did you out on the raptors? I have a 2020 trd pro tundra with 50k miles now, but took my f150 to 326k miles before trading it in. Same engine and transmission but it did have tons of minor to more expensive issues.
I don't know, if we talk pickups you have the buyers that use them for fun and the buyers that use them for work. I love everything about the Raptor, but I have always been a Toyota guy because for me it's about buying trucks for work. I need pickups that can go off road in the jungles and mountains of Central America and carry heavy payloads of corn, coffee, wood etc. From this point of view Tundra TRD Pro definitely is better, as it has the ability to go off road with a better payload capacity... (though if I were to buy one I would go for a different configutation to increase its payload capacity) . So, which one wins the battle? I would say that it all depends on your needs. As a side note, I have an '85 Toyota SR5 with Xtra cab (the Mcfly one), and it is still going strong.. My country is full of old toyota pickups that are still being used for heavy work in hard terrains.
@@gabrielgonzalez9547 That depends on where you are. I really don't know about the US, but in Central America there are more Toyotas on the road and carrying heavy payloads.. I still love Ford pickups though, but if I were to buy one I would go for a full ton Ford, because for me it's about using them for work.
Martin Ventura you do know that a non raptor crew f-150 5.0 or 3.5L has a towing of 13,200lbs and payload of 2,900 lbs? With aluminum body and 10 speed transmission that ford is light years away from that tundra. Also the f150 does almost 500,000 units in north america in truck sales per year. Go look up tundra’s number. Also this might be a 1st for you. To get the most value off of a truck you have to trade or re sell it on that 5 year time to get 60% of the value on what you paid for it. Because in the future nobody would drive their vehicles longer than 10 years. Its just like a phone you trade it every few years vehicles are the worst investments because they don’t go up they only depreciate in time, its not a house.
My 21' TRD Pro has a Westcott lift that retains the Fox suspension and 35" tires. I now have 2" more ground clearance than a Raptor, a V8 that sounds 1000 times better, definitely more reliable, and is just as, if not more capable than the Raptor off road. Saved $15,000 also :-D
I have a 2021 trd pro in lunar rock was a hard core ford guy for all my life. My tundra smokes any other truck I've ever owed for what I've asked them to do Tundra from here on out although ford is second best
When I was in the market for a truck, I wanted the baddest truck out there. I did my research and quickly found out that the Raptor does not have a single competitor. It’s in its own category. It really is. I smoke Rebels and Tundras on a regular basis. I honestly just got my 2019 ford raptor to use as a daily and road trip in. I already have 24k miles on it and I’ve only had it since March of 2019. It’s simply an amazing truck and I can never live without one now. I hit off road trails and do some mini Baja type riding here and there but it’s mainly a daily. The price is not even that much of a difference if you don’t go with the fully loaded Raptor. I custom built a budget Raptor and couldn’t be happier. I don’t keep my cars longer than 2 years so I’m not too worried about reliability. I’m always getting new cars. I know one reason people go with Toyota is reliability. My main reason for choosing the Raptor is because it is literally the baddest performance truck out there with zero competitors. If I really needed a truck for towing, I would get the f250 tremor. I see all the comments about reliability. They make me laugh. They just don’t get LIFE. A corolla is more reliable than my 2019 mustang gt 10 speed performance package but will it be as fun? Fuck no. The Tundra does not give you the same level of excitement as the Raptor. That’s a fuckin fact. You only live once. If you can AFFORD it, enjoy the shit out of life. I didn’t work hard to make a lot of money to get one truck that I’ll keep for 20 years. Lol. JeepCherokeeful I ordered my Raptor in November of 2018. No dealer in Cali was selling 2019s under MSRP. I found a dealer out of state that would let me order one at MSRP but I would have to get extended warranty. I could have bought a 2018 under MSRP but I wanted the live adaptive suspension. Same dealer I bought mine from has markups on all of their Raptors. Nobody is going to let you custom order a raptor 5k under MSRP. Also, that front 4.10 front axle with TORSEN differential is something I wanted. That only comes in the high end models which end up costing more than I wanted to pay. I got every single thing I wanted since I custom ordered.
Joe Momma Torsen diff is a cheap stand alone option. My dealer discounts almost everything, even the Focus RS when it first came out. There are discounted Raptors all over right now;) and I see them in stock several of them at quite a few dealers every day.
I'm tired of ppl using the reliable excuse. Toyota needs to start making new vehicles and stop getting rich selling the same models for 20 yrs. All in for the Raptor, my money is on FUN...
@@vizi0123 I'll keep my Tundra and have to live with the sacrifice of knowing you had fun right before you got stuck. But don't worry. I'll have fun towing you to the auto shop 🤣
I LOVE my 2010 Toyota Tundra Rock Warrior truck, it has 125,000 miles on it and has only need wheel bearings replaced so far. It's been the best truck ever and it's fast and can pull anything it seems like!
I keep waiting for an American company (ya know, the ones we bailed out of debt!) to make a vehicle that is as reliable as Toyota (and not falling apart!), because none of this matters if you're walking home. The stats look great on the Raptor, but for that price it should come with lockers all around, a winch and a set of Maxtrax! Is that Raptor going to be on the road in 10 yrs? I know the Toyota will.
BigRiver Theres thousands of 8-10 year old raptors for sale online with over 200,000 miles and are still selling at a premium price. Know your facts before you assume things. Yotas aren’t bad, but its easy to make a reliable vehicle when you only offer low powered boring cars with no features.
I'll pick the tundra. Most people out there are really just hating the tundra because they think it's not American made. But real people will go with what is better, rather than the hate. The raptor is a nice truck too.
Toyota because i own one and they are the most reliable and hold their value the best. Nothing against the Raptor because it is quite simply a beast but i love my Tundra. After all, the tundra did pull NASA's spaceship... Nuff said. I've driven Toyota all my life. Traded in my Tacoma last year for a Tundra. Haven't looked back since. I do miss the MPG on the Tacoma but the Tundra is well worth the upgrade. The thing is an absolute BRUTE.
Both trucks are very nice. The reliability of natural aspiration vs. turbocharging is mostly negated by cooling, lubrication, and good proper maintenance. It’s true that most of these trucks...either one...won’t leave town. I chose the Raptor not only because it has monstrous power, but the suspension is Capable and smart...it’s fed data from the truck’s sensors and adjusts in real-time...even while jumping. its actually two different trucks...a nice, powerful truck for daily use (Dr. Jeckyll), then select Baja mode, and it’s a Trophy Truck (Mr. Hyde). Love that. And I DO use it both different ways. As far as that tailgate step...it’s absolutely necessary when I’m loading the mountain bikes in the bed. So...TRD is a reliable daily driver, the Raptor is a true Sports Utility super-car. In my own opinion.
I think I would buy a Tundra for the price differential and the towing capacity. Thanks for the side to side comparison.I also love Tundra reliability. 💞❤️
If you're on a budget and want a good used truck, buy Tundra. If you want to buy a truck and then sell for good money, buy Tundra. If you want to buy a truck for 10 years without any major issues and regular small maintenance fees, buy Tundra. If you want fun, performance and good looks, buy Raptor. If you don't care about the money and want to lease your truck for 3-4 years and then trade it in, lease Raptor. Buying a Raptor is fun in short term, but after the 100k mile mark, it's really a poor business choice compared to the Tundra. I checked various used Tundras and Raptors and hands down, the Tundra is a FAR better long term investment. Raptors and other brand all had mechanical issues of some kind. The old Tundras between 2008 and 2014 that I saw ? Absolutely NONE. If I had the money for a Raptor whilst still living a good comfy life and then trade it in after 3-4 years before all the mechanical issues start popping up, I would absolutely do it. I'm shopping now for a used Tundra and by the comments I read time and time and time again, I know I can completely trust a Tundra with more than 200k miles at around the 10k-20k price range. And I know it can go for another 300k if not more with minimal issues. Now that's good business 👌
Not comparable trucks, but there's really nothing as good as a Raptor. Raptor is clearly better. And obviously comparing prices is funny since they aren't comparing apples to apples with same equipment.
I traded my 2017 Tacoma pro that was plagued with problems and major paint issues for my 2018 raptor. My gen 2 Tacoma was a great truck but Toyota has gone down hill in the reliability department. The ford dealership has so many gen 3 Tacoma’s traded in for fords. Plus I get 17 miles per gallon, that’s better then my gen 2 taco, and blows tundra away. I ate up a brand new tundra on the line the other day, didn’t stand a chance!
Mike Shaw My Trd pro ran crappy from the day I bought it, the dealership had to buy it back. My raptor runs great and has a 100,000 mile 10 year warranty. Don’t hate what you ain’t 😁
Love the Raptor for the badass looks and off road prowess ... but the sensible person adult in me says all you need is the Tundra TRD ... looks awesome, really good off road, excellent reliability, great resale, better at being a truck with the bed and tow & payload capacity and then lastly the price difference. I still love Fords and its a personal choice as both trucks are fantastic!
trigolis I own one and I don’t have a problem, it has 52k and miles on it and all I have done is oil changes and tire rotations and I drive my vehicle hard. EcoBoost baby 😁 I know you like the Raptor that’s why your your watching this video lol
I have 2021 Tundra TRD pro and I never gonna change for anyone I like the sounds i like the power and the interior space is awesome

The Raptor wins in the performance, features, and technology. The Tundra wins when it comes to durability, reliability, towing, and payload.
Ford has mastered the natural aspirated engines. The raptor has a high output turbo that stresses the engine way too much. Raptor does look awesome but the Tundra is more reliable, hauls and tows more. Has a 6.5 foot bed and the whole rear window rolls down. Hopefully they upgrade the interior for 2021. I may just be ready to trade in my 2014 TRD

This is getting old already. I love Ford and Toyota trucks. They are in a different class. I wish people would stop comparing these two trucks. There is a reason for the 20k difference in price. Jd power did a 3 year reliability test, the Tundra finished #1, Ford and Chevy didn't even make the list. I've owned all brands of trucks and SUV's The Tundra is my favorite overall. You know what FORD stands for. fix or repair daily
2017 f150 transmission gave out at 74,000 miles. Radiator at 70,000 miles.

Papa Walsh Yeah, the Tundra is better reliability wise and quality, but that's it. And who trusts JD Power??
Just purchased a 21 tundra trd pro crew max in magnetic gray metallic. By far a better value for the everyday truck with great offroad capabilities.
I prefer more simplicity and less gadgets. Especially when you are out off-roading in the middle of nowhere. Reliability is key.
Great! Now I know which trucks I absolutely can't afford
No comparison, Toyota Tundra crewmax is 381 hp. It is a true truck. My 2016 has 55,000 miles and all I had to do was replace a belt. Never going back to Ford, Chevy or Dodge. Tundra 4 life
I'm going with the Tundra all day. I will use the extra 19k and buy me a motorcycle with all the goodies added.
My exact thoughts!
Exactly!!! And the Tundra will go 10+ years without problems. 3 of my friends have the 3.5 eco boost and they seem to be broken 20% of the year. And the 20% problems happened within the first three years. I can't imagine how many problems you would have with the Raptor at 10 years.

A raptor is a high performance, high powered monstrous truck that isnt meant for the faint of heart, a tundra is a Toyota Camry with a bed, comparing apples to oranges.
Diez Nutz
ford f-150 raptor: 450hp/ 510lb-ft torque
toyota tundra trd pro: 381hp/ 401lb-ft torque
is the trd pro anything better than the raptor except for the towing capacity?

Tundra wins in my book. RELIABILITY!
The tundra is not what it used to be. These Toyota nerds are relying on the old school Toyota tanks that lasted forever. They haven’t been that way for at least 5 years. Toyota quality has gone downhill. It’s no longer the most reliable brand and will continue to slip down the rankings
real Mexican's like Ford's the work they do is demanding.
we wouldn't be caught driving a male feminist truck
If you "need" more toys to play with in your truck, get a ford. If you want a truck that's sufficient for any job you throw at it. It doesn't have all the toys to play with but it's NEVER in the shop. It's out there waiting to go to work when you are.
I have owned both, I will have to say the Raptor is on a whole new level of smiles per gallon. I liked my Tundra don’t get me wrong, but the Raptor wins hands down. Both are great trucks in their own class, this video fails to mention they aren’t even in the same class of trucks.
Raptor sucks compared to tundra it’s more reliable faster and tougher
@@gregmsnow ??? thats downright not true. i like toyota and especially tundra's but it is just a fact that the raptor is faster. however, if you get a trd supercharger on there, you got a competition.
One will be running until the next ice age. The other you’ll be drinking your cold beer out of in a dozen years.
2012 mustang gt automatic: $25,500
2014 evo x gsr: $30,999
2018 Dodge Charger rt/scat pack with dynamics package: $37,400
2019 mustang gt 10 speed automatic with performance package 1: $35,758
2019 ford raptor supercrew base model with $3,855 worth of added options (custom order): $61,190
I’m basically a car buying professional.
Toyota Tundra TRD Pro Without a Doubt!!
You are absolutely right... it is not a fair comparison as the Toyota Tundra is by far way superior than any other truck out there. While I love the way the Raptor looks, the Tundra is just a different monster, and nothing can compare to its power, looks, and more importantly RELIABILITY.
I have no emotions when it comes to brands, I only care about dependability, reliability and my pocket, thus, Toyota, all the way,
All men are guilty of sin.

@@ericko7756 how many miles did you out on the raptors? I have a 2020 trd pro tundra with 50k miles now, but took my f150 to 326k miles before trading it in. Same engine and transmission but it did have tons of minor to more expensive issues.
To me the most important to bear in mind while buying an off-roader is it's reliability. Hence, Toyota every day, every moment.
Martin Ventura That’s the best thing about Toyotas they just keep running.
There's more old Rangers than Tacomas on the road. Fact.
I have ‘87 ford ranger with 300k+ miles and still going!
Toyota Tundra TRD Pro is not designed to compete with the $80,000+ Raptor.
Edit: great vid btw
I have a 2021 trd pro in lunar rock was a hard core ford guy for all my life. My tundra smokes any other truck I've ever owed for what I've asked them to do Tundra from here on out although ford is second best
It really depends on what you use your truck for but, overall, Tundra beats every other truck.
Lol.

And some dealers sell them for $5k under MSRP;)

Imagine the TRD with $19k of upgrades....

Ty Murphy LOL you really comparing trucks by mpg? get a car then lolol
@Grow Trade Learn that’s one of the things that make trucks worth buying. Both are great trucks.
guy proulx Then why not just save your money and buy the one from 2010. Since it’s basically the same.
TOYOTA TUNDRA !!! RELIABLE. I never had a single problem on my 2013 Tundra.
Love the looks of the Raptor, but I'd go with the Tundra.
I like the raptor but it’s just too expensive. 😔
Overpriced junk
TRD Pro for me. 🤷♂️
The Toyota will give you the longevity and reliability but that raptor looks sweet
