I love the close cinematography of all of your videos. It brings us up and personal with all of the little details and focus on each of the aspects of the restoration.
I'm 51, I was born in 1973. We were taught to look after and appreciate what we had. I love these restorations. The tools are better ... and it was before the cheap throw away mentality😊
Aw man i always love your restorations! I often feel like every restoration channel is obsessed with making every part look perfect in the end shot so they polish every metal piece to a mirror polish and bodyfiller and paint every other piece until it looks like a prop instead of a tool. Your restorations always look like they couldve come right out of a good quality factory
Great job. I like to see someone do a complete restoration, who is willing to take extra steps and put in the extra work to make something better than it has to be.
Interesting phrases: 'grind my gears'; 'food for the satisfaction cabinet'; grease, grease, more grease, there can't be enough grease on gears; If you're born as a machines you don't need cranks. All words to live by. Thanks for another great restore, Herr P.! BTW, nice wheels at the end of the video 😉
Wow! Even though it was still working as it was, it was definitely worth the restoration effort. That looks absolutely classy! The jacking motion is now so much smoother, steady and quiet. Excellent job.
i am watching this video because i enjoy restoration of rusty stuff and because you DON"T title your posts as "perfect" "amazing" "incredible" and so forth. Like 👍
I sincerely appreciate the wonderful content you create. Whenever you share a new piece, I make it a point to find a serene moment to savor it. Your meticulous attention to detail truly shines through in your work.
A very pretty restoration but there’s a reason they used a LARGE SOLID forged rivet for that gear. Your “chicago rivet” replacement is likely much less strong. So please don’t actually put this jack to work ever again. And also never sell it to anyone who might try to use it.
*Kia ora (Hello) MisterPatina 🙂 Wow that Jack is amazing and looks awesome. 🙂 Plus MisterPatina Junior will have lots of fun lifting up his race car to change the tyres and to be able to check the chasis and under the engine as well 🙂 I do love all the close up shots... ok so I love all your mahi (work) that you do. 🙂 What I don't get is why do you not have 1 million subs, cos you should have 1 million subs? 🙂Kia kaha (stay strong) and keep well 🙂NZ*
The "satisfaction cabinet?" That's what you call that? I think I have some confused definitions, because I though a.... You know what? Never mind. I think I'll just let that one go. 🤣🤣🤣
Another wonderful restoration, Mister P! I especially like the contrast between the painted parts and the ones done with the cold bluing. And I always appreciate the satisfaction cabinet! I have wondered, by the way - for baking the powder coated parts, have you got an oven just for that in the workshop or is that the household oven?
Great job. Interested why you didn't weld up the worm gear, the spiral one? The teeth/tooth looked very worn. I have a similar gear to rework on a cement mixer gearbox.
The problem is now the entire world knows the rivet is fake 😋. I have heard people call those Chicago rivets, but probably only in the Midwest USA. Great work on a unique piece.

Thanks, iam glad you enjoyed!

Thank you so much, I really appreciate!
Might be the most satisfying rivet removal I've ever seen! Well done lol
From tool to art. Always a pleasure to watch.
Absolutely pleasure to watch this man working.
Iam glad you like my work!
Got an old friend who had a garage full of old tools (including a gigantic Ford wrench)... videos like yours help me figure out how to restore them.
You've maintained your exceptionally high standard of work.
Three visits to the satisfaction cabinet in one video? You're spoiling us, Mr. Patina. ;)
😅😅
Yes!!! I just woke up mid sleep and now I can watch this amazing video and go right back to sleep! Gracias!!
Haha, good night 😅
The puns and wordplay of the in-video descriptions were great! 😂
This was such a fun restoration. Thanks for sharing this, Mr. P. Great sound, great video, superb editing!
Thank you so much ❤️
Really like how you used the mill to remove the rivet!
Love your videos! They're very calming
Thank you for removing the casting flaws.

Fantastic restoration job. I have never seen a jack with gears before. It looks much better and it seems to work like a charm too. Excellent work.
Thanks George!

Always impeccable work and video.
Nice little lifter. Nice restoration. As usual ! Greetings !
A toe jack is always super useful to have around.
Cool 👍

Jack never had it so good.
sweet!
wonderfull
Sandblasting is so satisfying.
Super Arbeit 👍🏼. Nice Car💪🏼.

merci maitre 🙂💯👌👍
Another triumph over patina and casting marks.
Good 👍👍👍👍👍
Super jest odrestaurowany ten stary zabytkowy lewarek Pozdrawiam serdecznie👍👍👍👍👍.
Spasibo!
Now you need to make some matching jack stand for the car...
What you call work in your videos should also be called an art form and craftmanship.
Thank you so much!
Ngl, that jack scared the absolute hell out of me. I think I'm just walking rather than using that to change a flat.
All boot jacks scare me, the trick is to never be in the line of fire 😉
Proof it doesn't have to be a giant and complex project to be worth doing and making a video of.
🙂👍
We need more videos sir!
Incoming!
Hello mister Patina beautiful restoration beautifully restored good job well done
i don't why, but i'm a Junky' for Sandblasting scene...addicted to it😂
Perfeito 🎉🎉🎉

Thank you so much! I’m using my workshop oven for this, otherwise the wife would’ve ended my life. 😅
I also buy my washers at Lidl (Parkside) 😄
Wifes hate the tool floor 🤣
I think you forgot to straighten the part with the lifting pawl. It isn't supposed to be be bent like that. Someone overloaded it.
I didn’t forget, but it’s a casted steel part. Heating and rebending would’ve probably break it 😕

Great job. Interested why you didn't weld up the worm gear, the spiral one? The teeth/tooth looked very worn.

Danke!

Haha! Oh yeah you’re right, I’ve heard that as well!
@misterpatina
