Looks awesome, the wheels are some of the best I've seen on a 911. I personally would fit some Porsche crest decals to the wheel centres for that OEM look.
Lovely additions to a classic car - and notice Martin immediately inspecting his wing mirror - the man never stops :) Thanks for sharing this Jon, cheers, Kevin
@@BarryCoombs1 not switchable, pasm delete in the kit (resistors) I have just used the factory settings on the dampening and rebound, exellent handling and ride comfort is ok, no problem with tour to germany and italy
I know this is off-topic, but it is car product related though, please bear with me. I have discovered a great method of keeping stainless steel sink tops, free from watermarks, scale marks, especially in hard water areas. I used to use CIF or Jiff, or whatever it’s called, then used The Pink Stuff, but this scratched the sink top. So used Tesco white vinegar, at 29p, any white vinegar will do, and found it was better than CIF/JIFF or The Pink Stuff. I then sprayed a hydrophobic glass cleaner (a ceramic sealant etc may work) on the sink top. Now, I just swipe with a microfibre cloth, and no watermarks, no scales, just a lovely shiny sink top. Still will use the Pink Stuff on my exhaust tips, but have experimented with using the white vinegar, and that cleans the exhaust insides brilliantly. I also use the hydrophobic glass cleaner on my house windows. If I had the money, my dream car would be the Porsche 911 Turbo S (992), in silver. When an old car, is looked after, restored etc. They look fantastic, and represent a great example of motoring history, with some models looking better than most modern cars.
I have Yellowspeeds on my little Clio 197. I won't modify my 991.2 until I've had a year or two ownership under Porsche warranty. I would love a remap though!
My ideal 997 would just be fitted with a slightly lowered stance and five spokes stock alloys. As for the engine I'd like a moderate tuning with some performance increase while not affecting its outstanding qualities as a daydriver. I would rather be working on a highmileage specimen sporting decent bodyshell and interiors condition as well.
@@LeosChannel-lu1hh Yes good point... the cost / performance ratio is unequalled amongst sport cars as well as the average mantainance cost and the overall reliability.

Looks good to me. It’s all subjective. I have a 977.1. I think they are the last proper Porsche maybe the 991.1 just before VW took control. Now they are bigger and bulkier and have lost the classic Porsche curves. 🎉 997 👊🏻
KW or online or something would’ve been more befitting of the car mate. Seems you were somewhat mislead on the yellow speed stuff. They are absolute rubbish. The quality control is terrible and I’d be shocked if all 4 aren’t leaking within 12-24 months if they even last that long.
Thats really odd as I was also speaking to another Porsche 997 owner yesterday and they said how impressed they had been with the suspension and had run them hard for a year
That colour is so nice. Sorry, I know nowt about suspension and coilovers, so I won't embarrass myself and pretend I do 😂. Question, does the coloured PPF constitute a colour change, meaning the that the DVLA have to be informed? And what about the insurer, I presume they have to be notified? All the best.
I appreciate all the mods people do to theirs but I am a bit of a James May - also same age, same hair - and the differences don't end there - I also wear glasses and have terrible clothes. My 997 went backwards from its purchase.
Nonsense I upgraded dampers on my 997.2 to actually soften and be more compliant as it’s an everyday car, fitted some Fuchs wheels and Duck tail very pleased with results
What year is?
is 2024 mate
@@ForensicDetailing The car I mean of course mate
@@luckgod1857then said what you meant mate 😑 you’re literally ask what year’s it is not what year is that Porsche 997
Is 997 so 2005-2008
It's a 2006 as the reg is KX06...

Gorgeous, subtle but effective build.
i love my b16 damptronic on my 997.1S. Exhaust and headers wakes it up+ipd plenum,gt3tb and tune
The wheels are absolutely lovely.. the colour on those is a perfect match to the PPF wrap.. sits well and looks Wow !!! 👌
One of my standout cars at Flat 6.
Thanks very much
Car looks great enjoy

It's absolutely gorgeous! I love it!
Exellent, did the same with my 997.1, but used KW V3 and powerflex bushings all over, and new wheel bearings
How are you finding the KW V3s? Is the ride harder than standard and is still switchable?

MTC is catching up with DTC!!!
@@ForensicDetailing Yeap but he's not an animal like me lol 🤣
Love the hourly rate prices 🤣🤣🤣
Beautiful car! Need some racing stripes tho.
So far, so...tasteful 🙂. Great mods, looking forward to the next instalment 👍
What a coincidence, just came on looking for a new video and guess who decides to post one up...
Looks great, exactly how I’d modify the car 👍🏻
Not a fan of modifying cars really….if i was lucky enough to own such a car I’d go originality all the way (and call it a porsch-uh!)
Yes! But then I modify near enough everything 😂
Retro mod anytime.
X51.... Rare and best option possible on 997
Don’t change the front seats they are very comfortable
Looks great, carrera badge looks like its on wonky though
That would drive me nuts too! 🤪
Trust me it's not....I took ages getting it correct
I tried to get the tuf-r wheels for my cayman, but can't seem to get them in the correct fitment. Absolutely love them, too. 😢
looks lovely but will never drive well on our UK roads on 20s
Looks fantastic however not keen on coilover choice.
Stick to KW with stainless bodies

Thx Trevor. I really don't know about Matt or satin just never owned one. But we did a video on it recently. I would Ppf it if I owned it m8.
The final colour is very similar to Dark Olive Metallic M6X
yer its really similiar to that actually. although the dark olive has some almost like yellow fleck to it in strong light.
What wheel size front and rear? Looks absolutely stunning
i think its 20 on those rota forms mate. this car is actually for sale I Think. speak to martin at fresh layers if interested.

No m8
Hi whats the cost of that PPF job?
That would be north of 4k they extended the standard templates so everything was tucked in
Were you able to skip painting the new front bumper and simply use ppf?
Any chance we could get a review on the Yellow speed coilovers?
Hard to review m8. Without doing comparison to others and testing
Beaut!

I do like it, but I think you went a little big on the wheels IMO
I was also worried, but it drives great
a carrera 4s should have the taillights over the whole rear so what is this? not a 4s but what else?
incorrect with 997 some do mate but not all. just google image it.
