Thank you, so nice to be able to watch a 997 video without having to listen to 2/3rds of the discussion being about bore scoring, ignoring what makes these cars so great!!! Well done...
My 997 just came back from a 4.3 conversion - about 475bhp and 400ftlb - it’s stupidly fast. Definitely a ‘forever car’ now. (Will take for ever to pay off)
@@usynnstradler engine was built by Flat 6 Innovations in Atlanta Georgia - Jake Raby picked up the baton from Porsche on the m96/97 engine and has gone way beyond what the factory could ever do. Nikasil liners, forged pistons, forged rods, custom intake work, custom cams, custom oil pump, custom IMS, the list just goes on and on (kinda like the power delivery). ruclips.net/video/vky6Ex6bjlo/видео.html
475 you say 😮… has that number been dyno confirmed??? I’ve heard Raby engine owners rave for 15 years but not one dyno sheet to prove anything 😳 And he works outa cleaveland Ga, close to but not Atlanta
@@frederickcook87I’m telling you, it’s an animal. Have to wind out my 991.2 GT3 past 7k for it to feel any faster than the 997 now. Most people who have been in it, guess that it has north of 500bhp. Further triangulation - my 4.5 Cerbera (dyno’d at 380bhp) weighs 1.225 tonnes. The C4S weighs 1.475 tonnes but feels considerably faster. Ergo, has more than 455bhp.
@@I999-g2sI hear you and back in 2018 (I live in Atlanta) I was on for a 4.2 rebuild (he hadn’t gone 4.3 yet) but the long wait, the secrecy, and the lack of anything measurable was just too much. At the time that engine builder was against lwfw and aftermarket exhaust. I was full on x51 top end with full fabspeed bottom end but just couldn’t pull the trigger due to the extremely high asking price and not one dyno sheet. That sent me down the path of 991 gt3 engine, adaptor plate, and a few other goodies for a third of flat6’s asking price. Hartech (In my opinion has a better setup/transparency) and closed deck… but if you ever get yours on a dyno please post up the results on rennlist 👌🏾
Love the 997 CS wheels. I really think they got the look right. But this particular design has never been revisited. Bit of a shame imho The Ride the lightning T-shirt perfection 🤌

The 997 is aging beautifully, that chap has nailed it aesthetically.

Perfect, not too overdone and love the stock wheels and brakes with just a lowering and stock rear exhaust.
Guy brings in his 997 and Frank starts lusting after his old 946. Leopards and their spots.
Nice clean example and the lobsters suit it well, great to hear your attitude to using and enjoying it.
Sympathetic guy and a beautiful car..
This 997 is definitely a testament to its owners Matt and Nick. I can confirm it doesn't look or feel anywhere near its mileage. Lovely car 👌
997 is the best gen
👌 997 is the sweetspot for water cooled Porsche.
The size is perfect.
Pilot Sport 4S pound for pound are the best upgrade you can make to a 997 👍
Great to see Matt’s car. Nice watch that. Love the seal grey.
Best looking of the water called generations,
