Great video! I also want to point out that pure black or white can fit depending on the style you're going for. For example, many manga use black and white with very few grey tones, and highly stylised artwork can use it to portray high contrast.

Only thing id have to add to the last drawing ...how did he get into the tub? if theres tiles surrounding the tub theres either, a sectioned off part of the tub or it is encased in walls. If it is a sectioned part of the tub then you are kind of limited to your light source being from the opening of that part of the wall.
This could be ignored cause it is stylized but it adds atmosphere to the drawing.
