A delightful record which was played endlessly on the radio in the 1950’s. This was the decade when records had medley, quality singing and innocent lyrics.
I started listening and I wanna click on another video but the tune is so addicting! It’s so fulfilling and soothes my soul, The Chordettes voice’s are truly angelic.
I was chilling in the kitchen in our apartment in San Francisco one evening in ‘54 when all of the sudden this song came on the radio. It was so different, like a breath of fresh air. (Next to where I was sitting was our fridge with the big cylindrical attachment on top.) I liked “Ain’t that a Shame?”, and “I hear ya knocking”, but this was pleasingly different. 🤗😮😊
Always liked the Chordettes, "Lollipop" was one of my first records, played on my new RCA stereo record player! When the Chordettes ask Mr. Sandman for a dream the answer "Yes" was Dick Clark's voice 😂
Coca-Cola was 10 cents. Gasoline was 15-20 cents. Men worked and women had babies. See the USA in your Chevrolet America is the greatest land of all. No longer…
I grew up listening to this, and Rosemary Clooney and Xavier Cugat, My parents favourites. I still have pictures of them when they were young in their marriage. Life turned more difficult as time went by, and me and my three siblings entered the scene. I grow sad myself now, when I think of how it is when dreams die, and how theirs did too. Mr. Sandman, bring me a dream.

This song is sufficiently iconic of the era for Back to the Future to give it a nod.
Que voces tan hermosas ❤
Such elegantly coiffed ladies with gorgeous smiles and class.
I remember listening to this on the radio in Glasgow, Scotland. This was my first favorite song.
I would have loved to see the Chordettes live and in person singing Mr. Sandman
They are beautiful ladies very talented of the past!!
The harmony that they persued is without parallel. The song is also timeless
What a great time to have lived in the 1950s! The music was great! The President was Harry S. Truman and Dwight Eisenhower...
It was the early 50s Korean War.
Coca-Cola was 10 cents. Gasoline was 15-20 cents.

I worship this song and they sang so well
RIP LYNN EVANS AND THE CHORDETTES WE WILL NEVER FORGET YOU
Interesting to see their progression through the years. The song dates all the way from 1954! I thought it was later--early sixties..
Fantástico!!!! ❤

One of my favorite songs of all time and probably the only one I've listened to more than 15-20 thousand times...

La pelicula clasica "Back to the Future".
Quarteto maravilhoso.
Música maravilhosa.
Parabéns.

Young kids these days have no idea how good life was.
The movie "Philadelphia" rekindled my fondness of this classic.
