I was trained in the same gym as Damien back when I was a young kid, k star in kingstanding. He used to drop in and join the instructors and it was great to have him teaching us. Can't get better than learning from a legendary champion! I dropped off unfortunately as I left school and I do regret that now. Great to see he's still as dangerous as always! If you're looking for any extra technical, he's your man
The one dislike is from the pad-man
Darren Sullivan hahaha lool!
Those impacts man... That's scary
Now 17 pad- mans
*19 pad men
Everytime I watch videos by this guy I'm making notes, top quality stuff. Simple, smart combinations.
Admire Damien Trainor's display of his quality striking, as compared to his body size, plus his simple and clear demonstation as well as explanation.
Personally, what sounds more absorbing and convincing is employing skills on a taller and/or bigger pad holder or partner.
This guy is great!Great teacher,great techniques,just great.
the face of his assistant at the end of the illustration tho... like he's spaced out due to those body shots hahaha.
He looks like someone who's just been punished. :D Very regretful face. :D
He got that thousand yard stare
Hahaha i see that face .dude
He had that expression also at the beginning: a man resigned to his fate.
Jesus. He is so explosive!
Lennard he's a former muay Thai champ. look at his highlights on muay Thai scolar. he went all rounds with a fighter named twactchai I think. his whole side was red like "meat" from getting kicked so much. he lost but got a lot of respect. any fighter would have quit in his condition. Trainor is a soldier.
@@wagnerp1213 He actually won that fight. It was overturned right after the initial decision if you watch the entire video to the end.
Always something to be learnt from the legend that is Damien Trainor!
Honestly, I keep reverting back to Damiens instructional videos. Soooo good!!
Great style and explosiveness, please more videos with Damien!
Glad you liked it, Damien is 100% awesome so you have great taste!!
Dude...that footworks and strikes...freaking powerful and well tuned together. Impressive and good tutorial!
Damien makes everything in muay thai look so simple when it really isn't
One of the most amazing tutorials I've seen I will put this Into practice
These are deadly! Damien is such a great trainer (no pun intended), love how he breaks these techniques down.
Super clean and amazing power. Thanks!
Amazing video. Love the clarity and appreciate the details on footwork and body angles. Didn't know Damien Trainor before this vid but it's a name I'll have in mind when searching for technique. Inspirational.

5:56 the look of a padholder who's glad he doesn't have to take shots from Damien anymore now that the video's over LOL. Good stuff from Trainor as always!
Probably you could become a decent conditioned fighter just by holding the pads for damien

5:55 the assistant's face is like he's remembering the preparation for this video and is thinking "Shiiittt.... and I told him I didn't need a belly pad for this one... 😨😳" Lmao those shots will steal your soul if you let them😱😱😱
Good Job...Excellent Drill.

I think what is beautiful.
( Yo no hablo inglés, pero me gustaría decirte ,gracias por tu trabajo.pienso que es maravilloso)
U guys should do a choreographed fight that would be awsome
Poor pad guy aha. Excellent set ups can't wait to use these to get my "lady in a red dress" some day. Have been lusting after a body shot KO for years now!!! Thanks for putting this up!!
Ha ha, I am so pleased you liked this excellent tutorial from Damien! I have to ask though, what is the "lady in a red dress"? I am sure I should know what you mean but I don't :-( You are more than welcome, glad to see you are enjoying the channel!
Stuart Tomlinson everyone has that one beautiful lady they want right? For some it's head kick KO, or spin kick knock out. For me it's liver punch KO ;). That's my lady in a red dress
Does it mean that the lady has lost her virginity so bleeding comes with it and that is, why it is called Lady in a red dress? You did something for the first time.
It means he's nuts!
good stuff , benefit from the video even after beer, thanks.
Good stuff.
great vedio
This guy is a freakin machine ! Like that
Awesome video! just wish it could be longer and in more depth! has this coach boxed before? his hands look atlot sharper then most thai guys. Really love the body jab one
To answer your question, yes, he has boxed before. He is one of the best to ever have boxed out of England...Europe. multiple championship belts on his card, used to go to Thailand and box the natives, and win.
Good stuff, mate
It truly is, glad you liked it!
I want to be train by him. Cos, he is not physically big size but he is fast , accurate and powerful. 💪💪
Hi
For the left body hook.. Can you pivot on left foot? Like you would for a left hook to the head.
Or it is not necessary?
Are you just bringing your left shoulder back to generate power? I was wondering if both are correct. Since I have seen both ways taught.
Thank you!
Damien trainer is an amazing muay thai figher and amazing instructor
I can take a punch or kick to the stomach, but last time someone really hurt me: I can truly understand why this is a vicious punch. I wouldn't want to receive those punches: looking at it alone, makes me shiver.
Hello I have a question as a heavyweight I have trouble finding angles against guys that are smaller than me because they move so much faster than me, so I wonder what punches/kicks and combinations are good to throw if you are more of a "stationary" fighter
Damien is a wizard
Cool cool cool
Wow...
How do u throw that left hook with so much force? I keep trying it and I feel like my pecs are so tight from lifting weights. Do I need to stretch that part out ?
What was up with 16 that gave this a thumbs down? This guys power to weight ratio is awesome !
It's 16 dudes still sore after getting a beat down by him
4:15 ...that punch after the jab....i've seen that ...on GGG ...Gennady use that punch to his opponent...
Its very effective ...
Gun shots 🔥
The poor student looks traumatised by the sheer power of Damien's shots.
Hits like a hammer
🔥
Does anyone know the brand of gloves he is using?
In awe of your technique. How do you keep your body so tight when throwing your hook and swivel your body so fast? When I try and either get a bit off balance or am slow due to chambering to let the hook fly. Any tips will be appreciated.
'Repetition, repetition, repetition is the mother of learning, the father of action, and the architect of accomplishment.'
Great motivation. Will do!
Fahad Ali i know dude i have the same problem
Key take away: Fight people a foot taller than myself for more available body shots. In all seriousness though, thank you for the knowledge and you are a beastly technician.
💪💪💪
What gloves are those he's wearing???
Would a sweep with the right leg work after those two off position body shots in the last combo?
You can imagine been badly winded by those punches and then dumped unceremoniously on your back!
I had the exact same idea :) Although I think that instead of a sweep, I've been trying to "charge through" my sparring partner and "scoop" him up with my right knee under the side oh his thigh, lift him up and THEN dump him over. Love these vids.
Damn dude's small but got some power and explosiveness on those punches
Is body punch same as body hook?
When he executes the body shot, why is his palm facing slightly down? Shouldn't it up facing a bit upwards towards the opponents other shoulder? Like a curved uppercut?
Ahmed Ishtiaq
An upper cut is an upper cut and a hook is a hook. When you change direction it takes power away.
The sound of the glove smacking the pads arouses me
