Damien was an amazing fighter and today still could jump in the ring against any opponent and do well in my opinion. Glad you enjoyed it as always!! Thanks for keep watching!!
Damian is such a good coach! He has such a good way of breaking down complex things so that people like me with only a couple of years of experience can learn and improve. Thank you both 💪🏼
As always another fantastic video from the Warrior Collective and of course Damion Trainor what a star constantly showing effective Muay Thai techniques that he has used countless times in the ring!
Damien is a beast and I could visit him every week ha ha He always brings solid coaching to his videos, it is no wonder he is an instructor in demand all around the world!
Definitely one of the best muay thai tutorials I've seen. Very clear and great variation of different options and when to use them. I really appreciate this and will be great to add to my drills, Thank you very much.
Ha ha, I think I could have a million and still try to reply to as many as possible. Be rude not to. Thanks for taking the time to comment and sub, it is genuinely appreciated!!
I'm about fan of how this gentleman has a simple and brutal approach to these somewhat tricky maneuvers. Even points out his "non Thai" solution to a thai boxing problem.
Since im planning to use a lot of lowkicks in my next fight i thought its a good idea to be able to definetly win the lowkick battle. This is gonna help a lot. I like the just give away your leg against the inside lowkick the most. That also brings the insanely sensitive area on the inside of the knee out of the way. Once got kicked that by a shinbone during a fight. Hurts like hell.
Any art that allows the use of low kicks ensures that fighters will no doubt have to understand the effectiveness of them thoroughly! Glad you found it of use, let me know how you get on in your fight!
Awesome tutorial. You explained everything really well and made it look easy. Been looking for some great low leg kick defense for a while. This video rocks.
muy bueno. Solo te recomiendo hacer uso de la introducción de texto en el video para hacerlo más ilustrativo y didáctico. Por ejemplo poner el nombre de la técnica cuando la enseñes. Saludos
I have questions, 1.) Could I intercept my opponent with said push kick to the stomach? 2.) Could I counter with a calf kick instead of high on the thigh?
Thank you for the video! How much success can you have with countering a low kick with a knee? Considering that low kick is very high range and a knee is very close range. Same with a cross..
then you kick him/her youve already forced there position, so they are stuck you want to drill your counters.. answer these questions in the ring and you could be a champ too :)
that's a good video, thank you. Can I ask you a question? Why some people say than you can not block a low kick with your shin cause its gonna break? I practise muay thai and i always block low kicks with my shin, sometimes i block it with my knee, but sometimes, including some middle kicks i get up my leg the most higher possible and i block it too with my shin, some people say than you need to block the low kick with your knee, thats real but is not the obligate way to block it, right? You can block a low kick with the knee, but it is not the most normal thing, the most normal thing is to block it with the shin, right? Provided that the shin is well trained for many years, because I understand that if it is not trained, then it can break very easily, but if you do a correct hardening of the shin it is different, right?
What I am curious about is, if you were to block this kick without the padded support on the legs would this not destroy or potentially break your legs? I’m really interested in learning how to block to low Muay Thai kicks because they are such a powerful weapon.
Honestly, I have learned so much from my travels filming these tutorials on the Warrior Collective, I would not worry, I add new things to my game all the time ha ha!! Glad you enjoyed it!
dang you were tearing his leg up and his kicks were more like tap, tap. woo. I wish I could receive some of your training. awesome 👍. When are you coming to the States?
I did Muay Thai for 8 years, and I have to say this is top notch. You are a great instructor.
Damien must have been a monster in the ring. Definitely loved this tutorial Stuart

Every Damien Trainor video is an instant like. His explanations & tutorials are second to none.

Trying this tomorrow in sparring session
You guys have a great system can't wait to see more. It looks more like oldschool Dutch kickboxing then traditional Muay Thai, great stuff!
Since im planning to use a lot of lowkicks in my next fight i thought its a good idea to be able to definetly win the lowkick battle.
This is gonna help a lot.

Awesome tutorial. You explained everything really well and made it look easy. Been looking for some great low leg kick defense for a while. This video rocks.
I love the buakaw method of killing other people's low kicks- with nasty kicks of your own.
Thanks for techniques. Your videos are greatests!
Even the step-in at the end was still Muay-Thai, nice tutorial guys.
muy bueno. Solo te recomiendo hacer uso de la introducción de texto en el video para hacerlo más ilustrativo y didáctico. Por ejemplo poner el nombre de la técnica cuando la enseñes. Saludos
Damm bro, what an AMAZING tutorial! Thank you!

I have questions, 1.) Could I intercept my opponent with said push kick to the stomach? 2.) Could I counter with a calf kick instead of high on the thigh?

Damien is always outstanding! Glad you enjoyed it!!
Awesome technics!!!!!!!!!
You have great taste, Damien is amazing!
great video. thank you
How do you counter a dutch style low kick that is so fast and usually used as a counter after being thrown a bunch of combos?
Trainor really is a legend
Really good
Thank you ... very useful video
thanks very thorough
What happens when he decides to begin his combos with kicks? Low kick, 2-3 punches followed by a kick? Specially if hes aiming his kicks at rib range.
then you kick him/her youve already forced there position, so they are stuck
you want to drill your counters..
answer these questions in the ring and you could be a champ too :)
Beautiful
For sure, Damien has exceptional technique!
nice moves thank u
You are more than welcome, glad you enjoyed it!
How about using your hands to scoop the leg then counter act with a punch the way I see a lot of it being done in mma?
that's a good video, thank you. Can I ask you a question? Why some people say than you can not block a low kick with your shin cause its gonna break? This guy is jest great
Great coach

Best techniques!
Does anyone know what kinda gloves the blue ones are? The wrist protection looks interesting.
I dunno about the first counter strike, because the opponent can use Pak look Toy to counter defend the diagonal knee strike,or clinch and throw.
Damien is awesome. Tx
good techinques
Damien is a monster!
Thank you coach!!very well
Thx man great advise
Thanks for sharing
Good job bro 🖒
Too helpful
Awesome
hi if you one the leg in the first technic, he can fake and come straight with his leg?
Bom mesmo, muito bom os Encina mentos parabéns
My legs need that lesson. They are destroyed from interior low kicks. That will save me thanks!
Turns out I've been checking wrong (to the shin instead of near the foot) hope this is a bad habit I can untrain/correct- great video
Honestly, I have learned so much from my travels filming these tutorials on the Warrior Collective, I would not worry, I add new things to my game all the time ha ha!! Glad you enjoyed it!
whats the brand of those white shin guards?
Top King
I did that in sparring and never taught someone did it and here I am watching someone kick the leg as a block and this was a old video
dang you were tearing his leg up and his kicks were more like tap, tap. woo. I wish I could receive some of your training. awesome 👍. When are you coming to the States?
Thanks you
love it
thanks
Not a problem whatsoever!
Legend!
that intercepting punch was fucking sick
this should help throw and defend against the low luck with little damage to the shins. So painful
Glad you enjoyed this video!!
@stuarttomlinson great video thank you for teaching us the right way
Oh and are uppercuts easily countered? I just don't see many fighters using it. I mean in mma that is.
🙌🏾🔥🔥🔥
👍👍
killedangerousmuaythai
U guys should do like a stage fight for entertainment or like a series I would totally watch that
6:18
Do Thai fighters get caught off guard by the punch counter because it comes from outside their tradition?
Most likely if it’s traditional Muay Thai since their boxing is nothing like mma,Dutch, n etc
Who is here after seeing Baukaw fight???
I couldn’t stop looking at this dudes goofy looking 12 oz gloves😂 i didn’t learn a thing
Day dreams for freshmen
