    The step back after an aggressive kick followed by a push kick is actually clever. Thanks!

    Can Damien show way to kick the back leg? And also if left switch kick if ok to do to the back leg or is it wrong? I think you tend to maybe kick more with the foot but I have seen some fighters do this. Joe Valtellini talks about doing it but I would like to see more about it.

    Great video he’s always good 👍,but what about us southpaws ??personally though best way against boxers I find knee stomps and simple sweeps they always have to have all there weight in front leg to get power,and sidekicks and front kicks legs always longer then arms,

    • @Trainor103
      @Trainor103 5 лет назад +5

      James Miles all of these will work exactly the same for southpaws 😊👍

      Damien Trainor first off all big fan off yours quality tips,love speed on them double kicks,yeah think southpaws good to go inside leg kick get head off the line,

    Which type of muay thai is better to train for mma? Dutch or Thai? As i heard the stance in the pure thai version is too open and square for mma?

    • @trujilloroldancarlosarturo4281

      it doesnt matter, mma stance change a lot even when you come from muay thai and dutch is another version from kick boxing is not muay thai

      tiene que manejar bien las distancias, si tiene buen close boxing podria romperle la madre al de muay thai porque un boxeador es mas rapido, la cosa aqui es que el de muay thai tiene rodillas y codos para defender la distancia cercana y hay ciertos esquives y defensas propios del boxeo que solo funcionan en el box o con cualquier peleador callejero pero que peleando contra alguien de muay thai lo dejan muy desprotegido contra rodillazos, incluso el jap tiene su counter en muay thai, parry y codazo o esquive y codazo.

    Why put so much emphasis on kicking to the body when you could kick to the leg in order to keep greater distance and punish weight transfer? I can understand the switch kick in order to step away from the cross, injure the right arm or score a knock out via the liver shot but the right roundhouse to the body just seems high risk, low reward compared to a right roundhouse to the lead leg or a teep to the lead leg (this kind of stuff is both really annoying and low risk to a hands heavy fighter ruclips.net/video/DFn5hFPW-Ec/видео.html)

      Muay Thai scoring. Low kicks do not score as well as body kicks.

    No disrespect but Muay Thai is regular boxing with kicks, knees , elbows and all that other stuff. The actual boxing part of Muay Thai is pretty much the same thing as Western Boxing is like Mike Tyson , Floyd Mayweather and everyone .
