I am friends with both Tony and Adam. If I weren't an electrical engineer myself who does all his own electrical work, I would not hesitate to hire Tony. He's the only person I know who I'd allow to work on my stuff. He has not only the desire and knowledge to do things correctly, but he also has the tools and terminals to do so. Very impressive! And someday perhaps I'll find even one car as nice as the ones Adam finds routinely!
Tony, I came across this entry while looking for more of Adam's videos. Your explanation of the problem and its solution were clear, concise and well presented without distractions. Sources like yourself are a godsend. Thanks so much!

I think this 72 Lincoln coupe is my favorite of all your cars I've seen so far. What a beauty. Tony's skills are very complementary to your basic skills, think of all the electrics in a modern car, yikes! Great video with you two working together.
I agree, excellent work. Always a joy to fix someone else's half-assed, lazy repair. Glad to see you were prepared and had the tools and parts to make it right!

Fantastic! I’m in electronics myself and I love to see people my age and younger st still know how to use a meter, have troubleshooting skills, and skills using a crimp and socket pin repair. So much of these skills have been lost in the age of the OBD scan tool and shotgun part replacement. I’ve been following Adam for a while and I will be following g you Tony! Great job!!
Excellent work Tony. At some stage I have to refit the door armrests and power windows for my 1972 Lincoln MKIV so that would be something I would be interested in regarding future videos.

Hello Tony! I just subscribed today to your channel! Really enjoyed your work on Adam's Continental! Keep up the great work. Greetings from Hollywood California!
I really really like the coupe versions of these sedans. They're beautiful. I think one of these, loaded with options, would have been a good alternative to the Mark series.
Gosh you got to have a lot of patience to work with that electrical stuff. I have a nervous Shake in my hands and I swear I would never be able to complete this task. I could spend two days trying to do what you did and would never be able to get it done. Great job!
Where were you when I was redoing my 1971 continental mark? Their rear windows on that car are a pain in the butt. The drivers went to Pastor Windo or not too bad. The power seat on the driver side was very hard to figure out the motors worked and went to go forward. You’d hear it clunk, but it wouldn’t move forward Took me forever to figure out what the problem was though in 2017 after I redid the car I took it to the Lincoln nationals in Hickory corners Michigan. I got 95 1/2 points out of 100 on technical. I got 100 points everything on the car worked, but you make it look easy it’s not

I found a 1973 Lincoln Town Coupe in a Pick A Part around 2005. It was powder blue with a dark blue vinyl top amd dark blue leather interior. This car was a low mileage pristine car that had no business being there. What I was told is that sometimes an owner dies and the family doesn't want to deal with some old carr so they call the nearest wrecking yard to come and get them. Very sad end to a car that was so well loved by its first owner.
One time many years ago, I tried changing the brushes in the driver's door PW motor in my old '92 Mustang GT, and I never could get it to work again - so I connected an AC cord and plug, and plugged it into the wall. It blew the circuit breaker and I bought a motor from Autozone...

In my 40+ years in the automotive industry I have seen some really bad repairs. I will agree with Tony that we have become a nation of parts replacers that lack any true diagnostic ability. I worked in collision repair and saw how the vehicle manufacturers contributed to the problem by the way parts were serviced. One of my favorites was a Chevrolet Silverado that had a body colored section on the headlight. The damaged truck had 500 miles on it. The was about a pencil eraser sized divot on the body colored section. Otherwise the headlight was intact. I totally understood when the customer wanted this taken care of during the repair. Chevrolet did not sell this part. Instead we had to buy a $2,300 headlight. Of course it was great for our shop. We made our customary markup on the part, but this was hardly cost effective.
