One of the emotionally brutal moments I've experienced in Highfleet (Tanc a Lelek / See Description)

  • This Sevastopol pulled me through EVERY (all 6) pre-Khiva SG with its only support being a carrier dedicated to AA to reduce the amount of missiles it had to absorb (Said Carrier went home with Daud later), after which it was refit with a impressive APS Package and destroyed the Varyag one on one, then ate two nuclear warheads and destroyed the post-Khiva Strike Group, still alone...
    However, some tomfoolery with the last N-Group ended, with me in a emotionally difficult predicament, having to engage in final battle against the ship which I held so dear. There was no going around it.
    To end the war, the Sevastopol must be destroyed.

      I wasn't out for a clean and quick victory, I deliberately did it after seeing the fight was won and feeling a sense of needing a bit more revenge for the betrayal.

      I knew I had won when the left ammorack exploded. Going over the top was just to get to the right side and beat the shit out of that too for the cool / vibe factor (and the bottom missile rack was cooler). These fights always feel too short.

    Maybe the worst part was, it didn't go down to an ammo explosion or loss of control. It was loss of thrust, so you could only watch the beloved giant tumble to the ground unceremoniously.

    It was a terrible idea to fight SG Fleets with a Romani's Essential Brick
    I mostly use Juggernaut MK2 (My own creation: 10x AK-100, Efficient, and Fully & Spaced Armored Cruiser) to terminate all of them, especially Varyag and/or Nomad on Moderate Damage (No Module(s) Destroyed)

    • @clankplusm
      @clankplusm  2 года назад +15

      the fact that Sevastopol can beat any SG in the game, and if APS'd up, is capable of doing them all back to back (And pretty much did as mentioned in the description), begs a simple question really:
      Why?
      This Sev was lost because I was having too much fun smearing the last SG onto a wall like paste, even despite the damage it sustained from the nukes beforehand I didnt lose much of any parts of the ship. I simply forgot I had burned the 10 morale down to 1 and this fun experience was the result

      1. It's an Unfinished Ship, and you must fill up yourself since it was rushed to prevent Nuclear.
      2. The 6 Barrels Main Cannons were placed too low, so it has quarter of blind spots.
      3. The Radar is too Essential, that M700 is so Expensive and (almost) Very Rare in the game (so you must loot the Varyag instead).
      4. The Ship is Too Slow, only 90km/h and cost Fuel like a real Elaim Simulator.
      5. The most Critical Area is the Ammo Rack at the bottom of the ship, as well as the Bridge are almost the weakest point.
      6. The Repair is only 1 shot go, because the Module and the Ship is big, expensive, and essential. (Edit: Ok this is off, but what i mean is Slow Repair as it has many fixes)
      These are my top 6 Critics for owning the Brick

    • @clankplusm
      @clankplusm  2 года назад +5

      again, the question of "Effectiveness" is relevant when in vanilla, one is 150% effective the other is 200% effective, you dont need more than on either.
      The Sev is a topfighter. All criticisms regarding her sensors only apply to her bottom left irst sensor, the same mostly goes for her firing arcs. Besides, 6 is more than enough on either side when also halving enemies have the same issue
      I always move her bottom ammorack to the right side nub. Suddenly its not in line with the centre mass and no longer takes hits.
      You generaly dont need to repair once you construct an APS bubble, outside of llight touchups.
      The only valid consistent criticism is her speed, and in some degree her fuel costs. Both are, admittedly poor
      You can enjoy a better design, sure, but at the end of the day, Sevastopol is all you need to beat the game, the rest of your fleet is unnecessary fun.

    Dude. why was your Sevastopol so weak in battle. Didn't you upgrade it? Why could few guns fire at the same time?

    • @clankplusm
      @clankplusm  2 года назад +13

      I dont significantly rebuild my sevastopols to get the gun arcs over the fuel tanks, its too hard post 1.12 and technically it wouldnt help in this fight because the Squall was what could see me anyways. I like leaving Sevastopol "Vanilla like" So elevating the Bow 180mm is basically impossible. Besides, spamming APS and patching some Vympels in gives it the capability to fight a lot.
      Also, that Sevastopol got nuked multiple times and had beaten a SG already so it was worn out and had basically no armour, hence why I was able to kill it easily.
