They went with the flow, without thinking. Until they saw that this wasn't the life they had in mind, but they didn't have the vagina (balls are weak) to speak out. By the time they met somebody (one special person, not >5 nannies; they were not players, like this butt-faced-man), they finally felt the need for change, to take their lives in their own hands. But they still were the same non-confronting, passive, lazy, cowardly people as they were before. So, they came up with the most stupid and cruel decision to commit those horrible crimes.
I'm not saying this smirking butt-face isn't capable of killing. There is this dangerous vibe he is carrying.
But it will be for a different reason. He could kill, if his wife tells him that she's moving out of state, or something like that.

For those of you who keep saying that the friend is butting into the marriage…she took herself out of the situation and has chosen to not be in contact with the entire family. I think the friend is scared for her friend, Amy. She is the only smart one on the stage. The friend was asked to be on the show so of course she is going to voice her opinion about the situation. She will continue to have no contact with Amy if Amy chooses to stay with the husband. So for those of you putting down the friend and saying she is co-dependent or butting into the marriage…how? She chose to take herself out of the entire situation which is very independent and healthy on her part. What did you want her to do? Come on the show and not say her honest opinion? 🤦🏻♀️

I've only watched the first episode and part of this one so far so maybe he'll address it at some point, by why has Dr Phil completely glossed over the unsafe living situation these children are in. Recreational painkiller use, violently breaking down doors, sexual harassment of nannies, affairs, restraining orders, strangers coming and going living in the home. First and foremost, he should be worried about the children and notifying cps. If this woman wants to self destruct with this creep that's fine, but not when there's children involved.

He's admitting to that issue as an affair in order to more easily deny everything else. Its a psychological technique commonly used by gaslighters and serial offenders.

Of course many people who do truly evil things lie and minimize and deflect, etc. And of course the victims in these situations often buy into the lie because they don’t want to lose the other person and often have been lied to so frequently they don’t know which way is up anymore and don’t trust their own judgment about when they are right and/or the other person is wrong.
The point is throughout this entire interaction DR. PHIL calls it having an affair. Why? I cannot wrap my mind around it. I know sometimes the best way to get through to a criminal is to also speak in their language. Police officers using the Reid technique often do that to a guilty person to build rapport and get a confession, etc., but that’s doesn’t feel like what’s going on here, either. Dr. Phil doesn’t get him ri confess anything new. Instead, all Dr. Phil’s strategy here seems to do is do double down on the lie and make it feel more legitimate. I’m so confused. Does Dr. Phil genuinely think of it as an affair? If not, what on earth is he trying to accomplish by calling it one and never correcting that misconception with him, the wife, or the audience?
