I bought one of these last August for the horrible Los Angeles traffic commute. I’m averaging 29 mpg with 96% city driving. I got the ignot silver color with black interior. It also included the SE appearance package. After Ford rebates and negotiating back and forth I was able to drive it off the lot for $14,500 brand new with 9 miles on the clock!! I felt I got a really great deal considering the fact that used cars were going for almost the same price and some for more with lots of miles. I strongly recommend this car for city commuters. It’s incredible what great deals you can get on this car if your really do your homework.
My is the 2016 1.0 ecoboost hatch - 77,000 Km zero problems can get 500 plus miles per tank Like it the way it was built - love the 3 cylinder engine 👍👍
C C Luckily I had a $750 private offer. Yes, the incentives were crazy good. $14,365 is what paid before fees. What did you pay before fees and what was your MSRP?
Price of Vehicle: $18,461.44 / adding taxes and fees brought it up to $19,913.83 / minus $5,500 incentives equals $14,413.83 financed. Incentives broke down $5,000 normal incentive and the $500 ecoboost one.
C C I think the only difference between our cars is the Ecoboost Appearance Package, 17” wheels and the automatic. Mine is $19,050 including destination. Options total $2,485.
Yes I lamented the lack of touch screen with car play etc. But then again, This car is staying true to offering an economy option and no doubt that saved several hundred dollars off MSRP for this trim. Most competing vehicles in this class do have the big touch screen but those cars are $2000 more.
Minor clarification: the 6F15 is not a newly-developed transmission. It is a variation on the 6F55, which has had a good service history for over 15 years. Ironically this transmission is shared on some cheverolet models, where the early releases had a somewhat high failure rate. I have a copy of your model for 2018, minus the SE appearance package.
Is this a U.S.A domestic market FOCUS ? I have only seen the 1,0L Triple paired to the 6 speed manual transmission or DCT FIASCO. I would really like it if FORD went back to torque converters, these DCTs are SHIT for daily drivers.
JIGA BACHI This car has the torque converter transmission. It’s the only Focus that doesn’t have the DCT. Yes, this is a North American vehicle. Ford’s DCT is rubbish and they know it.
Wow you got an amazing deal on your Focus! My Mitsubishi Mirage G4 stickered for $18,115.00 and I got it for $12,714.00 My 2017 Mitsubishi Mirage G4 SE (top trim model) is very roomy inside and has a huge rear seat. I have android auto & apple car play, am/fm/cd/dvd, push start, fast key keyless access on drivers door and trunk, keyless entry, pw, pl, pm, heated seats, auto digital climate control, auto dimming rear view mirror with homelink, fog lights, and more! All of this and ai paid $12,714.00 and get a 10/100,000 mile warranty and Mitsubishi is know for reliability and I loved my 2015 Mirage. Sure the Mirage may not be the most refined or fastest car but they are feature packed, super roomy, reliable, have a huge warranty and I average in the mid 40s in mpg. I know Ford can have some Reliability issues and Transmission problems but from what I read the 3 Cylinder Focus and Fiesta does not have those issues. It’s mainly the 4 cylinder Automatics. I believe the auto trans in the 1.0 is different and having no problems. I will say though I think the 3 cylinder Ford made is awesome! I think its way better than the 4 cylinder!
Do all of these have normal automatic transmissions? I'm looking at a 2017 ford focus se 1.0 ecoboost right now but the website doesnt list what the transmission type is literally anywhere, and I don't want to waste my time driving to it if it's a manual.

@@TheCarCrazyGuy yeah I was looking at that video of the Colorado with the corsa install, I paid 1k for the factory exhaust upgrade on the cruze so definitly am researching what I can do to my potential future vehicle.
@@TheCarCrazyGuy Okay. Thank. I recently purchased this car without a mechanic to assist me, so I was wondering if this car was a lemon and if there's anything important to watch out for
Oh, you got the Focus, not the Fiesta. Is that a little more strain from curb weight and a mileage penalty over the Fiesta? I had an offer for one, in base Ecoboost package (Focus) in Candy Blue, for 13 grand.
djkenny Great price as well. It moves pretty good. An older Chevy Cruze couldn’t out run it. Not sure if it was the turbo or non-turbo version. Overall pretty happy with it.
Did you check out the base 2 liter? I am going to go check it out. I heard the manual model is pretty quick. Still getting 40 mpg. I see one discounted to $11,600, and I have heard of people getting them for 10k. Sounds like a really good deal. I would just search for the wheels on your car at the wreckers. Hate hub caps
djkenny No, I didn’t want a base car. Heck, if they put the 3 cylinder in an SEL I would have gotten this instead. I really want a touch screen in my car. Oh the compromises one must make 😕
I understand. I must admit, I am not a fan of Touchscreens. Only because I seem to often slip on a wrong station or hit something I don't want. I love the small dial in the middle console of Mazda and the iA. I also think they generally distract people more than simple dials. I have a Garmin for navigation. So I might even get cars with nothing at all in infotainment. But there seems to be a simple one in the base Focus?
nicholai the great It’s not the primer that’s the issue. I’ve owned other Focuses that have done the same thing. It’s the tail lamp with sharp edges pushing against the paint causing it to chip. What I did was remove the tail lamp, touch it up and adjusted with a screw on the light that moves it away from the body. No other issues other than that.
I just got my 2018 ine. I'm a relax and almost slow driver but I never get fuel milage better than 27 miles per galon combined. Is your like that also?
i’m really late to the video lol but i’m about to buy a 2017 ford focus se 1.0 liter 3 cylinder turbo eco, i just wrecked my 2016 focus with the 2liter 4cyl and i loved it but it did stutter when accelerating and i believe it was my transmission but i totaled before i ever knew. is this transmission likely to have problems like the previous fords? from reviews i read, most of the ones for the engine i’ll have were good but i’m still paranoid it’ll go out on me and i’ll be without a car again

fondupot It’s a great truck. How could I get rid of it. I’m thinking about getting the Redline badges and replacing the chrome ones with them. They fit perfectly. Here is the website. Email them as they don’t advertise them on their website.
Thanks. I have seen others report better MPG, but not sure how they come up with their numbers. I know that the onboard computer always calculates my MPG about 1.5 - 2 MPG better than actual. My numbers are derived from total gallons pumped/miles driven. It might vary tank to tank, depending if you get a low top off, but over thousands of miles it is very accurate.
This is the worst car ever! I have factory warranty on my Ford for Powertrain and Ford Service center don’t want to fix it. They are asking me to provide proof of oil change receipts for 12 months and the bill of sales. Why are they asking for all this information for a factory issue? I only had my 2017 Ford Focus SE for 2 years and it only has 50 miles on it. No I provided all my receipts and they are still not willing to fix my engine. They said I have to pay out of pocket which is a NO! Can I sue Ford for this?
I like my 2016 Focus 1.0L 6 speed manual with 23,000 miles on it back in November of 2018. I just hit 28,000 miles. It’s been a great car!
