That's awesome bro and cool content with Paul mcbeth. My name is literally fish and I enjoy how educational you get and how your opinion compares to facts.
Love that you play disc golf, I started a few years ago and I am hooked! The only problem with disc golf is it really cuts into my fishing the past couple years! Lol
Such an underrated channel. Honestly, I know there’s no need for comparison, but your content are just so educational, fun, and engaging. You truly deserve the 1 mil subs that you don’t have yet.
That was some great catches, the stick bait out shines the rage bug 10 to 1, now maybe another creature bait like brush hog may work better than a worm on occasion, on the TN River the stick is best, I want you to do a comparison the rage tail Cut R worm to ol' monster 10.5! That would be epic!
Good stuff! I seem to pick up the Rage Bug when I'm pitching to docks or shallow cover. Senko for deeper structure. Not sure why but that's what happens.
I think both of those baits have their time and place, I have def seen a time where the senko will out perform the creature bait when on pressured waters or fishing clearer water. Its almost like fishing a tube but with a long and slender profile. personally I will opt for the creature bait for the spawn just because so many fish will only have 1/2 of the bait when they grab it off the bed and run with it. Good video my dude.
I'm using a half one on a dropshot rig and secure it with a small piece of a destroyed softplastic so it can't Slip of the Hook. Brought me some of my biggest perch. Sadly we don't have Bass in my country.
Senkos along with other stick bait's are unmatched in alot of my fishing and one of my favorite things to throw... awesome fish man and really enjoyed you stick some nice river pig's!
Tyler you’ve got an incredible channel going. Love when a new video pops up on my notifications. Any chance you could do a video on what you use for a culling system in tournaments. Just getting in to bass fishing and hoping to do a tournament in the next few weeks and would like some pointers. Thanks. Keep up the excellent work. It’s appreciated.
Roland Martin has great tips on the best way to set a hook using a Senkos. Want to work more up and down than side angle. At least that's what he says works for him. Thank you for the content.
Love you channel, which I’m new to. First time using the senko last summer. I don’t get to fish much on a lake w out a boat, so never fished much with soft baits. The Senko Texas rig worked amazing on my one fishing trip which I’m in MN. It made my week the best fishing trip ever. Only missed 1 as it but the bottom off. Love your realism with the education! Your Comparing two baits, is so beyond helpful!! Thanks and keep up the great work!
I'm a big creature bait guy. My go-to is the Yamamoto Dual Tail Hula Grub, but a simple craw is always in my bag too. I like stick baits too, but I just don't have as much confidence in them.
I have to admit I did something I have never done. Hit the subscribe button. After watching about 20 of your videos I felt like I owed you that. Love how you explain things in a way I can understand. If I have a question, you have a video. Thanks for helping me become a better fisherman.
MAN, I absolutely love to hear feedback like that. I’m so glad to have people like you along for the journey, and I hope to continue to make videos that keep you around!
Please tell me you are going to get your own line of molds and/or stamps on discs. Fishing and Disc Golf are literally my 2 main hobbies and passions and I get to share with my son on both.
Those senkos really started to shine. I typically have more confidence in them than I do with creature baits. This is the year I work on that. Great video as always Tyler.
@@TylersReelFishing awesome, that'll be interesting. Perhaps not only pay attention to which gets more bites, but also which is just more fishable in terms of fishing through brush or grass, snags and weedlessness, lure longevity/durability, etc. Thanks daddio!
I’m moving to Floresville Texas area with in the year. And old retired Navy guy have enjoyed your videos over a year. Would like to get with you once I’m there to learn some local lakes Brauniglake. ,Calaveras, and Corpus. Open for the lessons.
This video has been out for a year, and I'm just now seeing it. You are now my new favorite angler. Disc golf, who knew!? Third favorite hobby next to fishing and pool!
I just had a similar situation in Michigan. They would only hit a senko or a brush hog. Wouldn't even pay attention to creature style baits. Maybe its the length of bait waving in the water? Was driving me nuts when i prefer using creature.
Tyler i think the hook up ratio on the senko is lower for sure, i fish in some GNARLY ponds in southern oregon full of weed, muck, branches etc. I fish a texas rigged senko slighly skin hooked 70% of the time my hook up ratio is probably 1 in 5
trust me i don't have to look at tackle warehouse for colors lolol i filled my garage wall with soft plastic packs. i have a tackle buying problem. its good problem. but also no money. thats the problem
At first I’m like damn boat like that, area like that what am I watching but then you were crushing them left and right. So I subscribed! Hell of a day
What's a good depth rule of fishing a weightless senko vs adding a small bullet weight? If none is their an added benefit or action of the bullet weight?
Tyler, just to let you know I really enjoy your videos. I have a question for you..I have been away from fishing for 30 years and just now getting back into it. I remember when bank fishing at a pond, using a plastic worm that when a fish hit you let him run with it for a few seconds before the hook set. Then when I was on the boat worm fishing, you set hook immediately. So I am back to bank fishing at the ponds. Can you tell me when I should set the hook? Thanks
No sir, there are not many small snakes around here as their diet. As a matter of fact, senkos and other worms are rarely known to imitate snakes. They just imitate an opportunity
Both pegged but not right against the soft plastic. I gave them like half an inch to move. And the creature bait had a 1/8oz weight and the senko had an 1/16oz weight
I don’t know if you’ll see this but a guide for both baits would be good especially after you did this comparison, Also if you see this good luck hope you catch a PB soon
I’m looking closer at the video and I feel like I’m seeing a small pegged bullet weight on the senko. I know this video is 1 year old, did you use a small weight on the senko rig???
HUGE thanks to The Disc Barn for sponsoring this video!! Check em out here to get started playing disc golf! thediscbarn.com/

Good thoughts 👍🏼
One of my spinning rods is a 7’6” Lews TP1 Black Speed Stick. I love it so much it makes me want to get the baitcast version. Fantastic rod.
These are my favorite to plastics..and the senko always produces on a bad and good day. Thanks tyler for the footage we appreciate you. God Bless
Thank you Travis! Gonna keep getting that footage for y’all 🙌🏼

Nightcrawler for me, is my first choice and was my first bait used for my first actual bass "adventure "

Picnic island in tampa.Tampa.. perfect area for disk golf. And a great shoreline fishing for saltwater.
In AZ creature baits especially the rage bug or brush hog are by far a much deadlier bait than a stick
Trf what a great video I hope it does not slip through the algorithm let's keep it going
At 6:33 there was an Thunderbird in the sky very rare species 👊
Prob a eagle or buzzard ! 😁

My first was a popper! Caught 'em on poppers, spooks, ploppers, frogs, spinners, but none on a Texas rig soft plastic yet!
Which poppers exactly?
Glad to see you had a good day on the river after getting skunked early. It can be so frustrating just missing a bunch of fish!
That’s for sure!!
Love the change up of music for these head to head videos.
Always gotta change things up to keep y’all entertained!
You should talk to Paul and get a trf zone in esp plastic
Dude that would be so sick! I can probably get one dyed, but getting one made from Discraft would be even cooler!

Jeremy Wade used yarn to catch eels one time on the show River Monsters, do you think you could make a lure out of yarn?
You should guide for a lil side hustle I'd pay to come out there
I would if I had time!
Just figured how to see the links for all geaar you've used, very helpful. Great fishing you had. Lotsa BIGGN'S. Thanks Ty & Blessings as always😇

+1 for the senko. Great stuff.
Love throwing around a creature bait!

Not only do you provide good content, but you also provide great comedy.....thank.you.

Appreciate it!!
Senko always with the slam dunk looked hella fun good stuff
Do you always use a bullet weight when fishing a senko?
Nice fish by the way! This got me pumped to head out to the lake!
With the 6in, not usually. Just had to in order to make it fall the same speed as the creature bait. I do use one if the depth is over 5ft though
Buddy that’s been my problem lately getting huge bits and hooking them but can’t keep them on I have no idea what’s going on
I’ve learned in my many years, that you just go through phases where you have better luck landing fish than others. No explaining it really
We’re you throwing the 6inch or 5inch
6
This has to be one of my favorite video!!! For pure educational purpose please do one with rage crawl
Did you dye the senko's tail or was that red a part of the color scheme?
Dye
Caught my PB 5.25 on a weightless senko today
Nice!!
I wonder how a Gary's senk vs a jackall archo would turn out

1/16 on the senko, 1/8 on the creature bait
