Brilliant. My M340i is due in December and one of the modifications I wanted to undertake was a swap for some red aluminium paddle shifters, as I don’t like that the rear of the stock paddles are plastic (they’re aluminium backs on the M1/240s and feel far more premium). Thanks for the tutorial, they look great!
Yes, but it’s not really a button, it’s a aluminium cover. I need to try a button from the X5M or a M8 since there is no red button on the market yet. Once I get one, I’ll post it here.
Hopefully you’ll get hold of a button or someone will manufacture a good replacement. I swapped one out on my M240i and it was great to add the colour (especially if the paddles match). I’ll subscribe for future updates! Thanks very much
Is there a reason why you swapped out the oem ones with the extenders on them, for these? Are the red extenders ontop of the oem ones not good enough? I was leaning towards the extenders that lay over the oem shifters, that way to avoid taking the airbag out..
Extenders or new paddle shifters, they both do the job. I prefer the look and the feeling of the new paddles. But the extenders are great if you don’t want to mess with the airbag. ;)
@@samaelic I appreciate your response. Question…did your old add-on-extensions ever touch the steering wheel and get in the way of paddle shifting or prevent you from being able to shift? I had read a review somewhere that it would prevent some people from being able to paddle shift due to it making contact with the steering wheel…
Hi did you stitch the suede cover on the steering wheel ? As i have seen in china they selling cover and can be stitched. ? I wana do that to my car steering thanks
@@tonyzheng1247 there are 2 types of spoiler. The bigger one is the carbon fiber spoiler. The one I have is part number 51192455880. It is matte black and I painted it gloss black.
I have a question. I have a 2019 G20, but i dont have those holes on the back of the steering wheel. I have leather wrapped and see a small indent, but no holes. Do i need to puncture the leather?
This is not the normal m performance steering wheel is it? I only see it on the Internet with other Carbon Elements, where did you get this from, or the Elements?
It is the original steering wheel with a steering wheel cover and the carbon elements are trim pieces placed on top. You can find everything on eBay or AE :)

No, it didn’t touch and no problem shifting gears.
Great video man. I was wondering whether you also install the carbon fibre trims? Do you need to take the steering wheel off?
Very informative vid! Thanks for sharing!
How you do carbon on your steering wheel?
Nice video! how does the new one feel? I noticed there is no slot cut at the down side of the steering wheel, will that shorten the shift distance?
this was very helpful. Thanks!!
Could you please share a Link to the product?
What is the part number for these can someone share a link to where to purchase them from ?
Thank’s a lot.

Yes it would work, if you have the steering wheel with paddles.

Check eBay of AE :)
No need disconnect the airbag??
No, that’s not necessary. Just let it rest on top of your steering wheel.

Yes i do! It’s an awesome car 👍🏼
The interior is a big upgrade and it has such a great engine.

My previous car was a F30 330d.

No RWD here in Europe.

Just type “Jogon paddle shifters BMW G20” in google 🙂.
