Achieving one's dreams is so gratifying, yet failing to reach those dreams is equally disappointing. I can tell from your videos, Pascal, you are persistent and motivated to do things you love. That's the most profound lesson you teach. Whether it's videography, law, or any other profession, persistence and motivation are keys to success. Thank you for sharing your experiences. They help.
Awsome Information in this video Pascal, Ive definitely been struggling trying to land some paid work in my local area since I am unable to travel yet I figure doing content here I can at least hone my skills! Hope you create some more informational content like this because it is invaluable to those just getting started or intimidated trying to land paid gigs. So thank you my Firend for this video!
At first I thought you said to have a strong wife 😂😂 I guess that works too for the support! My why is because I work 6 days a week, so trying to balance my own free time with family, friends, my own growth etc, slowly working toward leaving my job though!
A strong wife can definitely help to get out of bed 😂 6 days is hard. I‘d try to get out of there as quick as possible. Maybe freelance + part time job.
OMG - ditto, I had to rewind while half my lunch spoonful was ejected from my mouth, I could barely believe my ears! He does have a funny accent though - pay attention to his Xs! :)
Me too! I have a similar idea filming in different countries. I had a project set up last May in Ecuador but I had to cancel due to the pandemic. I wish you the best with your idea.
This is kind of my strategy as well, I am unable to travel but my local town is a tourist town so I figure it is a great starting point to break into the travel industry. Have you thought about trying to work with hotels or any kind of business related to travel like bike shops or rentals ETC.?
Thank you Pascal, as always an awesome and very informative video. I'm having problems deciding on how much to charge for my videos. Do you charge per project or per hour .
@@getafix5917 I generally charge per project. Clients are not interested in how long you work but in the results they get. Always sell results and not hours. You’re not an employee 😉
Love your videos Pascal, I want to be a full-time colorist but I'm stuck doing everything and working a day job...😑one day ill be able to go full time as a creative. Very inspirational and good real talk brother :)
It is definatly intimidating at first but through persistence and hard work you will get there! The start is always the hardest part, I have faith in you!
Pascal, I’ve been watching you for quite a while. My nickname for you is “iX” (because of your German [?] accent, which is quite funny when you say XT-4, you never say EX you always say iX). But, this just to say that TODAY was the first time I barely recognized you. I thought for a moment your younger brother had taken over your channel. You look so different without the goatee man! More professional look? Great video, as always.
Haha a beard can make a huge difference ^^ And yes, German accent. We say iX... I actually didn’t even recognize that 😉 Usually speaking the th correctly is a challenge haha
I wanna do it because in a couple of months I will be in a engineering college but that’s not what I wanna be . Shooting videos is my passion I just love it and it will be great if I can make some money also
I use Pascal to edit my video yes ;-) Haha if you're asking for the editor, it's Final Cut Pro. I sell my smooth transition pack here: pascalbasel.com/shop/seamless-mask-transitions-pack/
