MJ has never touched any narcotics, he was addicted to the painkillers... So in the way of addiction, generally there's some similarity, but Mike's addiction had nothing to do with getting high to cope with pressure as what he was coping with was the physical pain he was in, constantly... Maybe Frankie owed money to the drug dealers while he was picked up by the police to be forced into the army. So when he went away they probably forgot. But once he started to get back on his feet and seen him doing tv shows and stuff I feel he was pressured by them for not giving them any money and made him do it. I also seen comments of people who was from there say the dealers was bragging that the drugs they gave Frankie killed him.
