It probably is magnets. Why did he let it lay down on the sides and not in the center where it floated? Why is there a mat on the table (tho honestly the mat is not really necessary)? The ring is probably titanium or some other non-magnetic metal. The trick is still damn cool tho!

You are the real magic in my life even though I never met you. You're a great creator and my favourite RUclipsr. I'm actually from Austria and you made me learn how to speak fluid English. @Chris Ramsay Hey just wanted to share a huge thank you. I recently started doing cardistry and I can't stop learning and doing it. Its so much fun! I have so much joy in it that I actually think it can change my life or it already did change my life :D I want to thank you Chris for getting me more and more after time into Cardistry and by also teaching it with your tutorials. "hey chris i started magic because of you and your channel" -seemingly nice enough guy with a clever proposal/awesome trick chris- bashes dude for proposing in the wrong month
Dude, if you're trying to make clever proposal's you don't get creepy and use someone's name. That's incredibly creepy, stage 5 clinger creepy. Someone needs to tell the dude not to be creepy, and apparently someone likely needs to tell you the same thing. Quit being a creepy fuck.
@@yawnnepotamagotchi6942 what's creepy about using someone's name? It let's them know who you are talking to. Like is it stage 5 clinger creepy or whatever to say "Hey Yawn, I think your comment is stupid."
Obi Wan Dachshobi. Also with the coins across, the only thing I could think of is that he has a thin wire we can't see and maybe a real small hole in the coin or it is wound in a way that it slides down the string, not sure exactly but it did look like he was activating or pulling or starting the fall of the coin to his hand from his sleeve and it even was on the very side of his palm. So I'm thinking somehow slid it from his sleeve and my guess is via wire.
After watching your YFYL series I started practicing the basics. I wanted to thank you for bringing magic back into my life and making me believe that anybody can do this. After about a week of practicing, I can do a couple of color changes, a pass and BARELY a 3 monte(i suck at double lifts). Your videos inspire me to get better and keep practicing. One of these days I'll muster up the courage to post a video on your subreddit.
sharpie trick at end of video, pretty simple, he used magician string attached a piece to the cap n a piece to the sharpie end and had it tension off somewhere, when he puts the cap on it gives the appearance of it floating, and the ring thats simple as well he had a slit in ring he could have slipped the string through
What a Beautiful Dachshund ! We have two Mini Dachshund's, and they are the best dogs ever, and they are definite lovers! Love your videos man, you made me want to pick up cardistry again, so I bought your decks, and have been hard at work again! Thank you for the motivation, and your puzzle videos as well, AMAZING!
The chain trick was done with two magnetic balls in one of the chains attached to chain on one side. You notice he kept the chains taunt in the linking part and just let the magnets guide where to pull the chain through. Cool effect, but yeah. Magnets.
4:41 you can see the coin behind her pointer finger and her middle finger in her right hand (left side on screen) , she’s real sly with it tho . you can also tell cause she spread all her fingers on both hands but her middle and index on her right hand
Think back to when learning basic coin magic. One of the first tricks essentially is one coin across... The one where you place a coin in hand palm up and with the other hand mirroring the you turn your hands over quickly and with the action the coin gets tossed into the other hand. With a bit of presentation it still flies with lay people. I like watching these vids with a few doobs cheers forall your work bud
The chains are 2 aluminuminuinum (aluminium in the UK) chains with 2 nano dot magnets superglued on to one of them. They just get pulled apart then they reattach themselves after they "pass through" t'other chan.
He definitely replaced a couple of those balls on the chain with a couple small magnetic balls. They were pretty popular a few years ago.. still got hundreds of them smushed on the fridge
i should explain more, if you watch the video closely you can see a point on each chain where the links don't quite line up right, those are the magnetic connections. the reason they don't stick together is because they are only just strong enough to hold the links together under very mild pressure but also snap back together instantly :) hope that helps. love your vids Chris
The two you didn't know i instantly thought magnets as well lol, especially the last one. Obi real name no gimmicks, nice. Huge fan, got me into those puzzle things lol.
First effect: I feel the double undercut (when I’m watching a routine anyway) is always a dead giveaway that it’s a false cut. There are so many that could work. I wish magicians would move towards any other method. I know the deck is setup the second I see it.
looking back, wouldn't you know that anyway? to find the 4 aces it has to be set up. also you are a magician. magicians , we know how a lot of things are done. regular people don't notice or care

If you look closely, you can see the metal ring guy line up the part where the magnets are by twisting the rings. :) The magnets open up just enough to let the rings through each other, yet re-attach quickly. There's most likely very small pieces of magnets in 2 or more of the little balls, they're hollow. If you get one of those ball rings, you can see the seam on the balls. If you're careful, you can open them up to insert a piece of magnet into them.
On those metal chains, there's a clip to put them on things and take them off, as long as you know which way you unclip it, it takes seconds. He could have also broken them and used something to keep it together. Or just used a perspective that makes us think he's doing something crazy...idk really.
One coin effect. That retention was a bit sloppy but the rest of it was really good, and most people wouldn’t pick up on the retention regardless so it was really good overall!

same with the chains
