Just did this today by following your steps. Had to make my own tool to get the spring behind the steering plate pushed in so I could get that c-clip out. Thanks for putting this video up. Saved me alot of time!!
Tip: Tape a long string or wire to the connector before pulling it up and out of the column. Attach string to new connector to easily pull it down through column
