  • British singer songwriter Karen Elson is a rarity - a big success in two fields. At age 16 she began a hugely-successful modeling career. Her other passion is music. First performing with a cabaret group, she went solo in 2010 with her acclaimed debut album, "The Ghost Who Walks." Elson visited "CBS This Morning: Saturday" to perform "Call Your Name," the first single from her new album, "Double Roses."

I watch CBS news every morning, so naturally I watch Saturday Sessions. This is one of those few songs that literally froze me in my tracks! Beautiful, haunting and powerful! I stopped what I was doing, grabbed my smart phone and looked her up! Guess what album is new to my collection?? AMAZING SONG AND ARTIST!!!

It's cool to see someone use violin and harp and instruments that aren't used very much in mainstream music right now.

So So just another boring entertainer with nothing other than a reasonable voice, can't see her being much more than a very small venue artist.

What a rude little string of thoughts. Going mainstream doesn't equal success in terms of happiness. As far as I'm concerned (which you and I both really shouldn't be seeing as it's her career choice) she's a part of the modelling and music industry- she's out there doin' it.

Reg has bad taste in music.
