I think we enjoy watching because you talk us through the positioning. I like to see what I would do vs what I'm seeing. I get to see how I would make the wrong decisions. It also assist us on understanding the english, follow etc. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for posting Fargo ratings. Makes it more interesting. Looks like Fargo ratings are going to have a monopoly here soon. After 200 games, Fargo is spot on where ones skill level is. Much better than any other rating.
I would have to disagree with the Fargo being spot on after 200 games. It seems to vary greatly by region just like APA skill levels are different across the country. What is the establishing rating? (400/500/600) Which is seems to be variable depending on the league. Next would be robustness Figure 500+ games will give you more of an accurate rating in my opinion. Then as is stated below what tables are you shooting on and who are you shooting. Bar tables vs 8/9 ft tables and the people who play on those tables can sink a Fargo rate in a very short amount of time. At least this is what I have noticed here on youtube. Ther are just so many variables that can determine how well a person shoots on any given day.
Good match Josh. I used to play with the Cynergy 11.8 and I switched to a Raven 12.5 with a Taom Fusion tip. My game got more consistent and I’m more confident on potting long shots. I also bought the Raven break cue with the Taom 2.0 and it is a solid break cue! Very pleased with their products so far.
Nice to watch a match where the cloth has a little wear and dirt on it. It's more relatable. I like watching the pros of course, but I can't relate to how their tournament equipment looks and plays. Good match and video. Thanks for sharing it!
That 8 to 9ball shape at the end of the 7th rack, I always over hit that shot. I land on the short rail a ton and have to back cut the ball all the time, lol. As a consequence, I'm pretty good at those back cuts.
I admire your honesty sir. I may be one of the few that are glad you got out of the APA world. I replied below as to the Fargo rating being a telling number of skill level. it varies greatly depending on the part of the country you are in. A 600+ with a robustness of 48 is not a 600 by any means. Enough of that. Thanks for the posts. Have watched you for a while now. Cheers from NV
If there's a 100 pt Fargo gap here, that means he wins racks at a rate 2:1. So an even race would be 6-3. You guys played 6-5, which means you were actually spotting him 2 games in that match!
Majority of Predator cues are made in a Chinese factory and add on their brand name tax. I wouldn't be surprised if Raven Cues are made in the same factory.
Isn't this what happens to us amateur pool players. One night we're shooting the lights out. Gonna take this show on the road! Pro tour! The next night we're going sell our cues and never play again. Well, at least till next week. Lol
OK didn't go as planned but 100% if Josh would have made some of those shots he would of won. I find I get saturated shooting too much pool. I take a break for say 4 days and I return to shoot like a champ. Also when not shooting so well. I think of the basics. Feet flat and apart. Steady and balanced base. . Focus, smooth stroke. loose grip. Focus on the white. Make the shot. Take a break Josh, miss it for a bit, then come back you will be reset and now ready to win games once again. You played very reasonable. If you played at 100% all the time.......... We call that a machine..... not a human being. Also super thanks for editing the video. Makes it nice and quick to watch. Also seems i can only give 1 thumbs up.... that sucks. LOL Great Vid as usual. Killer flies...... Seem to freak you out. LOL
You have the ability to shoot better. I have seen it in past videos. Develop yourself a nice pre shot routine, and take your time, put in hard focus, slow down a little. You have it. Really good editing that you have been doing. Thanks for putting in the work for our entertainment. It's good to see Michigan personalities that I can relate to.
I beat a 580 Fargo yesterday. And I am unsure of my Fargo I only played in one Fargo rated tournament and lost both matches to a 600 and 719 Fargo but didn't get shut out in either match taking a rack from the 719 and 3 or 4 from the 600 in a race to 7
Alot of your troubles may be solved by just getting back to basics. Remember, you are not aiming if you dont stand square to the line of the shot before getting behind the cueball. I promise it helps a ton.
It might 'work' but that's a bad idea. Unless you are permanently changing your bridge distance. Consistency is the measure of pool skill. Switching back and forth makes it harder to be consistent.
"Tom foolery" brings back memories. When I was a kid, I remember Dick Smothers fussing at Tom Smothers about his "Tom foolery." Tom said, "You made that up, didn't you?!"
@@Amateur_Pool Colors are different on my end then. I decided not to play a pool tournament till im consistant on getting all 9 balls in off the break. im close my break it 90% ball in
I know that’s one of the things you are always talking about is to not jab at the ball, and watching that match that seemed to be what was happening. I have been trying my best to focus on that, and when I do, my game goes good, but when I don’t, well you know!!
You are shooting good Josh but scratching a lot because you are letting the cue ball fly around too much. You would have won this match without all that scratching.

Using market chalk? Down you find it marks the cue ball?
A little, but wipes right off. I use other chalks too. I'm not too picky about my chalk

100%.. but putting their fargo in the thumbnail gets more clicks 😁

Are these 7ft tables what you call bar tables? Bar table 9 ball looks fun
Yup.. 7ft tables. Fun on 9 ball and a challenge on 8 ball. Shape is a lot tighter
Damn, that's a wide Fargo gap. But you're shooting much smoother.

FYI next time you get your extension. Don't leave your Pool cue on the table. It's a foul.
I've never heard that before, but thanks for the tip!
Is that a 9ft table? Seems a little bit smaller. Or maybe is just me and the camera angle
7ft table
Most of these 600+ Fargo players have only played on barbox. On a 9ft table dude is more like a 550 at best.
Not sure why would a big table make them lower?
@ lol
Lol a bigger table means harder farther shots smaller pockets usually and also needing more stroke control for precision play
@ bingo
@@honkhogan21M in my opinion, big tables require less accuracy for shape, but more accuracy on shot making.
