Wow only 2oz difference between the light and SL! That’s amazing for their entry level HPA tank, it’s even within 5oz of the SL2.
There used to be huge differences between Ninjas entry level vs high end tanks. Now with only Lite, SL, and SL2 it gets harder to justify stepping up to the more expensive product. Still nice to save any weight possible though if price isn't a concern but it’s nice that new players can still get a light tank for cheap.
Just checked mine and it's a SL2! Mine has a 6/17 born date.
I used to have a 90ci tank from Ninja and now I have the 68/4500 SL2 from them. It's a drastic change for the better with the exception of filling up more frequently.
lol so glad i watched the entire vid. was getting so bummed cause i literally ordered an SL yesterday. maybe i'll get lucky :)
new grey ghost lite are pretty sweet for the price point
Ordered an SL77 last week. Sure looks like I have a new one without the label. The neck is long, skinny and flush with the regulator.
When was the SL2 released, I got a 68/4500 in 2016 and it has the new kind of reg and is also smaller than the original
regarding the SL1 and SL2 68/4500 weight diff:
(w/out reg) the original SL 68/4500 weighs 1lb11oz. this new SL2 weighs 1lb8oz.
For those of us w/ the old sl1, but newer slim neck, hopefully we did get the sl2, 1lb8oz version since we paid the price of an sl2. customers should not have to pay the same price for an older, heavier sl1 as the newer lighter sl2.
SL is 1lb.11oz. and SL2 is 1lb.8oz. , so the SL2 is 3 ounces lighter.
ANSgearPaintball thanks for the correction. In the other vid it said 1lb9oz. Will check again
yeah, in this video he weighs them back to back at about 4 minutes in.
I just have a ninja sl 68/4500 and its great
So my 05/17 sl68 that I bought a week ago with pro v2 reg weighs 1lb 14.7 ounces. Pretty sure that's the weight of a regular sl68. But mine looks like it has the long neck on it. Hmm
tylerdevloo same here
maybe you did get the sl2 and the extra weight is the reg. Rory only weighed the bottles, not the regulators
nah, on other videos the prov2 reg is weighed with sl68 at around 1lb 14 oz
Can you guys do a measurement video where you measure the physical size like what you did with the First Strike Hero bottles?
Instead of doing a video, I just went and measured 'em for you. Hope that's ok. For the new SL2's and LITE bottles, the length from bottom to top (not including reg):
45ci = 8 inches
50ci = 6.5 inches
68ci = 8.5 inches
77ci = 9.25 inches
90ci = 10.75 inches
And the diameter is 4.5 inches. Except for the 45ci one, that one has a diameter of 3.75 inches.
ANSgearPaintball Ok thank you so much!!! Ansgear has always been a big help to me!! Thank you guys
you're welcome.
If it's the old style sl but new style sl2, how can you really tell?
Strange why they wouldn't label them sl2.
If You have an old but new sl, do they weight the same?
the new ones that look old will weigh less than the old ones. they just look the same in the labeling.
ANSgearPaintball thx for reply. It is Appreciated. mine (68/45 from 2 months ago) has the longer, skinny neck--would that be considered the same weight/specs as sl2?
yeah, if the neck is shaped like the new ones. It may be difficult to tell just by looking unless you have an old one that you know for sure is the old style to compare it to. the easiest way to tell if you got an SL2 would be to weigh it.
What is the diameter and length of the new SL2's? Specifically the 68/4500.
4.5 inch diameter. 8.5 inches in length without the reg.
I just started looking for a new tank. I guess I'll be getting a 50/4500 grey ghost lightweight
SSniper14 PB and I just got a grey ghost 50ci non lite week ago 😩
SSniper14 PB are they any good bc I was looking into getting one
The 50's?
I'm 14 what size should o get I'm thinking 68/45
Joey Ingram 68/4500 is lite you get a ton of shots in general also depending on your gun
Joey Ingram depends how many pods you shoot or games back to back. I use a 48/45 for single games an shoot like 7-9 pods. Multi games i use 68/45
In my opinion 68/4500 is your best bet
Depends I'm 18 5'3" and I love my 50ci, try recall last time u played, and remember if u notice something u may be able to recall, when I was getting my tank I remembered thought with my old tank (62ci first strike round noncarbon) that it was heavy and I wish I had a smaller profile and it felt to big That's why I went 50ci grey ghost ninja depends on u, I just wish I new about this sooner, I got my tank like a week ago 😖.
What pressure does it put out with a v2 reg with no adjustments?
The standard V2 will be around 800-850 PSI output.
That should work just fine with a Dye DSR right? Edit: I don't know if there is different types but it's the Pro v2 reg im looking at on a ninja sl2
I'm really interested in buying a sl68 with slp reg from u guys but I'm interested how is the 68sl2 is it longer or shorter with a slp reg than a 68sl with a slp reg
at 2:35 in this video, Rory shows you the size difference.
ANSgearPaintball oh but thats the non sl bottles
oops, you're right, my bad. I just went and measured the length of an SL and SL2 bottle and it was the same length.
ANSgearPaintball thanks so much
🔥
Will this apply to the ninja 45 sl?
Not sure. I don't think we've gotten any new 45SL2's, but I think they plan on updating all the sizes. stay tuned for more info.
We got the 45 SL2's in stock today. you can find them here: www.ansgear.com/SearchResults.asp?Search=Ninja+SL2+Carbon+Fiber+Air+Tank+-+45%2F4500&submit=+
You should weigh things in grams.
Lol, no.
What kind of tank should I get. I'm 14 and 5'4, I don't know much about tanks so it hard to find one and also there not a paintball store close to me.
Edit- To get to a paintball store it would take me 1-2 hours to get there
what is your budget? and do you wanna get several games in before having to refill. and do you generally go through a lot of paint when playing? If you shoot a lot and don't like refilling often, you'll want a bigger tank. but, since you are smaller, you don't want too big of a tank. maybe a 50-68 ci tank would work well for you.
I follow you on Instagram 😱🍀
Where are they removing all this material from?? Honestly I'm getting worried, how well is it containing 3-4k of pressure? Too thin and boom, hit it wrong or slide on it and boom. Also very foolish of them to not mark their new bottles
It still has the same strength as before. They were able to take the weight off by using a different method of wrapping them.
anarchyamp that would be my luck
Will this apply to tippman cronus?
will what apply to the cronus?
ANSgearPaintball is this for paintball???
yes
ANSgearPaintball can I put this on my tippman Cronus
Yeah
I need one of these tanks first comment pls
