Flies great and the image quality is pretty good for 2.7K.
Yes, video quality it good enough for most casual users.
Love this drone and the f-ing FAA can't do anything about people flying these where they want!
Yes, this has no remote ID and it's under 250g so no registration is required.
AI is getting scary, these drones fly themselves now.
Get one and set it to follow you and yell, 'They are after me!!!!' Lol
Can't wait for future versions of this where they will be even more capable.

Thanks! 👍 It has certain capabilities but not as versatile as a controlled drone but there's no learning curve. Anyone can use this to get interesting video shots.
Interesting. Really nice that it has axis gimbal. I had a cheaper Holystone with fixed axis and it's quite limiting.

Nice drone but it would feel strange not having some kind of controller in hand.
But I suppose you have to trust the system and just enjoy it.
There are limitations and there are multiple warning about how NOT to use it, so it should work if you use it as intended. This is probably better for non-drone pilots as they don't have the bad habits of drone pilots.
Great review, this thing is great. I use it more than I thought I would. Now I take it everywhere.

The tech in this is super neat and the price seems fair. I wonder if it could keep up with you on a bike? I'm just having a hard time understanding who this is advertised for? Even if your vlogging I'd imagine the sound of the props would get in the way. Thanks for another great review!!
To keep the video length reasonable, I cut out a lot of stuff for future videos. The HoverAir can go up to 15 mph so can follow bikes up to that speed. There is a way to vlog where it records the audio to the phone and it cancels out the prop noise so you can hear your voice clearly. These will be shown in a future video.

how well does this work in a crowded environment?
I haven't personally tested this scenario but I've seen other videos where the HOVERAir X1 will lock on to the person holding the drone and it ignores other people in the frame like when you want to take a group selfie. It doesn't have obstacle avoidance so if someone wanted to intentionally run into this, it won't be able to avoid the hit.

Wow very impressive self flying drone. It flies pretty good, video image is nice as well. Great for solo vlogging like having a camera man with you. Seems to work pretty well, love the hand gesture controls. Great review Albert 👍

Perhaps I am mistaken, but did you not previously review a white version of this selfish drone?
I had old firmware on it and didn't know at the time so they sent me a new one with the latest firmware and the bug was fixed and it works perfectly now.

Great review of a useful tool. This is the best selphie drone I've seen. Very capable, could see the flag blowing in the wind. Good image quality. Lots of modes, easy to use.

If it loses track of you, it will simply stop in place and hover.
Intresting concept of a drone. If it were to cause an accident, I wonder who's at fault the drone or the user
It weighs 125g and props are guarded. Not likely any harm will occur in any accident.
Albert seemed to have fun with this one and it seemed to work well. I always thought that a drone like this would be popular. Maybe if it were linked to TikTok?
Easy enough to export footage to your phone and then to TikTok. Many people are already doing this.

Flight time is about 10 minutes continuous flying but longer if you do multiple short flights.
