Not necessarily, but worth a look. Especially since cameras struggle with exposure in some lighting conditions. I'm coming to Sydney after the 25th December for 11 nights, for a holiday. Looking forward to it.
Thanks for the video. I worked out for my walk videos, I'd need to have Horizon balance stabilization on, otherwise my video ends up on an angle if I'm not careful. DJI Pocket 2 is good due to the f1.8 and has better auto-focus. But the Action 3 also has its own perks. Will look into these filters.
Probably an obvious question, but as the Camera is waterproof, adding these it will remain waterproof? ie: I could put the filter on around the pool, and keep the ND filters on and go under water? thanks in advance .. just waiting for mine to arrive, as long lead time, and just trying to decide on which NDs to buy for it. This helps as these look great. I did see a RUclips Video showing DJI NDs that you can just push over the existing lens, but I can't find them to order in the UK. These look better though.
you could label the studs in the case with a silver pen..... That way if you change up what you carry, like ditching the ND1000, you can change the labeling.
Great Video, I have just got the 6 pack and hopefully i havent made the mistake with not getting the polarized filters. I much prefer the colours on the non polarized and that UV looked really great. Will see how we go at the beach. Note to self, 24frames and 1/50 is what you said yes?
Yep 24 frames and 1/50. Basically double the shutter to match the fps. 120fps = 1/240 ish. I’m sure you’ve made the right call. I think we adapt to our gear too :)
Yeah it has worked well for our trip. Despite the lack of pl. The colours seem much more accurate without it. That UV one seem to be an interesting I may just use it over the standard every day clear.
thanks for the video, sir. I just wanna ask you about what settings that i have to change when using nd filter? is it just the ISO and leave the rest on auto?
I’ve never seen any affect they have on the lens tbh, and they get dirty making your shot blurry. The lenses these days are so tough it’s not needed anymore IMO and experience 🤷🏼♂️
Whats the audio system you are using Ralph? And yes, I use Freewell filters often on my GoPro's. Here's where I have used the ND 1000 ruclips.net/video/4_Gw_rHyN6Q/видео.html
@@RalphMayhewPhotography Yep the ND1000 filter slows the shutter down to about 1 second per frame. It’s a pity that the GoPros don’t have 1/3 stop increments so you can really dial in the perfect shutter speed to control the blurring effect when using night lapse mode with this filter.
Are filters something you would use on an action camera?
Not necessarily, but worth a look. Especially since cameras struggle with exposure in some lighting conditions. I'm coming to Sydney after the 25th December for 11 nights, for a holiday. Looking forward to it.
@@ALxdCr4ftPlays you’ll love Sydney. It’s an amazing city.

Great to hear mate. Thanks for watching.
Duuuude, Im currently reviewing the phone filters they sent to me. I have to say, Im bloody impressed.
Yew!!! They come up really good hey. Free we’ll have always impressed me 👌

That is brilliant. Thanks you!

Where can I get a Glimmer Glass or Black pro Mist filter for the Osmo Action 3?
Id love something like that for more Cinematic footage.
No idea sorry. I’d be hitting up Google.
Thank you great demo
Stoked it was helpful. Thanks :)

You also want to change your fps to 24, it’s the same place you change to 4K setting.
Look at your video quite shaking when u walk. Do u on rocksteady funtion?
I’m not sure which part you are referring to if I use rocksteady I put it on the screen 👍
Why don't you like UV filters? Wouldn't it be a good filter to leave on to protect the lense?

Do they have fish eye
I don’t think they do.

Under that terrible echoing pergola I used a wireless lav set up. Can find the name of you need. On the beach it was the Osmo Action 3’s audio.
So you used the filter to activate night mode on the GoPro during the day. Well played. It looked great.

it's a bit on the expensive for me
Yeah it can get pricey but good filters are. Be careful of the cheaper ones.
