- Hi everyone! Here is my adulting 101 video. I talk about budgeting and how I make my own budget (look out for a free downloadable link this summer!), paying rent and around how much you should pay, cooking for yourself and other ways to save money, building your credit and how you should use a credit card, and a lot of other ~adulting~ basics.

@@alexis8488 it's never ending😩
I loved the part you mentioned about the fact that your first job doesn't have to be your dream job. As someone who just graduated from college this May and is starting their first 9-5 job, moving away from home, and doing something I never expected as a career, it is refreshing to hear that sometimes it is all about getting your foot in the door.
my favorite part about your videos is that no matter what it’s about, i ALWAYS leave your channel feeling so motivated. like you started talking about budgeting and i was like “okay so what am i gonna do today to help me in my future” lmao
Aw I love this!! Yes budgeting is not fun but it's so important to learn especially EARLY
Yes, I totally agree.
Can't wait to see your budgeting spreadsheet, I definitely need one!
Actually me, I'm getting ready to save more money while making more
I just graduated and I’m currently looking for a job. The struggle is real. Your vids and podcasts have really been helping me through it all. Love you 💕

You’re really like a big sister to me with all your amazing advice! Keep doing you gurlll ❤️❤️❤️
Natalie... I’m turning 21 this month and I cannot stress enough that my financial responsibilities are so freaking stressful. Lol while you’re talking about all of these extremely important things all I see and hear is $$$$$$$$$$$$ 😫
This was an awesome video Miss @Natalie Barbu I am a 37-year-old wife, homeschooling mom of 2 girls and entrepreneur. Everything you stated in this video is TRUE! I hope those that watch it will follow your advice. I will be sharing this video with my 13 and 11-year-old girls. Simply so that they can hear it from a more "relatable" source. Kudos to you keep doing you! God Bless.
You’re a great mom. 👍
YES do a google calendar vid!
This is such an awesome video! I am a senior in college now and these are some questions that I have always wondered, thank you so much!! 😊
I have been post grad for 7 years now, and I can 100% agree with what you said at the end of video about adjusting to work life. It really does just happen very naturally. I was so scared of having to start a real job that I considered continuing to study just go avoid it. Luckily my finances didn't allow it at the time, and I am so thankful for it now. Life after college/high school (if you don't go to college) can be really fun and exciting, despite having a job, paying bills and having to be responsible. I believe it is what you make it.
Good video Natalie!! 😉
So, on the credit card thing. I don't have one yet, however I've been asking around to all the adults in my life on how to use one. The best advice I've been give is, use it like a credit card. Never put too much on it, however you need the multiple payments to build credit. For example, buying a dinning table on it is a reasonable purchase. You'll make multiple payments on it. I wouldn't recommend buying lots of things at the same time, just one, then pay it off, then get another so that you have a billing history. Another good use for it is buying things you need, like groceries, you have to buy them so build credit with them. Another option is with some card companies, you can pay certain utilities, and earn cash back with your spending. That way you pay your bills and build credit. Just my thoughts, please take them with a grain of salt
I love this. I'm doing my best to share my experiences as a new young adult navigating my first job, big move, etc. In the process of filming a "business trip in my life" ---- I think content like this that you're putting out is super helpful for young viewers! Love a good budget.
Can't wait to see more of these! Seeing someone self-employed like I hope to be one day is really inspiring especially at such a young age.
This was truly an amazing video. Really loveeeddd it!! THUMBS UP!
I love the way you get all these messages across! It was a really helpful and motivating video, thank you for filming this!! :)
in my junior year of college and sh*t is really starting to get real... thanks so much for the helpful video
I've been waiting for you video, you are my inspiration, please do more videos in the future, we're waiting 💛
*Who else always gets so inspired by everything she does?* 💓💓
Also a youtuber btw🌹
A much needed video to all of us young adults ❤️❤️
OMG i love the part when you talk about how the first job is not gonna be the job you stick with forever, I'm such an impatient person and feel very restless when I'm in a job I don't like. Gaining experience and getting the foot in the door is so important
would loooove to see how you organize your calendar, how you travel so often and see this as a series!!
Just a tip: it is possible to live without a credit score. If renting, you maybe be asked pay double the security deposit. If buying a home, you can do manual underwriting.
if you’re doing a series, some video requests are how to budget money, travel for cheap, and following your dreams/achieving your goals :)
as someone going into their senior year of college and about to enter adulthood, this is so incredibly helpful God bless you for filming this
As being a guy, I am not in your channel's target audience, but DAMN I needed to hear these opinions of yours. To illustrate, I have started working for a weird-ass company that pays moderately; as a result, I am trying to build a better resumé by getting online certificates, which takes all my spare time. Your video made me see how I am neglecting some part of my life. Natalie, I sincerely want to thank you. You have a new sub right here :)
Yes!!! I’ve been waiting for this! I love new tips. ❤️
Love that you actually touch on really helpful topics!!💕 You inspire me so much with my channel! :) Can’t wait to download that budget excel sheet! I really need it! lol
Yes I definitely needed this! I’m already a young mom so budgeting is a Necessity ❤️
Omg yes im looking forward to your budgeting spreadsheet! I'm starting my first corporate job next week and i STILL CANT ADULT BUT I WILL TRY MY BEST
This was so helpful! I graduated from ECU last month and I've been struggling to find a job! I can't wait to see the budget sheet!
I’m in college still and I would love if you did a video on college advice on budgeting if you’re on your own and not going into debt through student loans, or just advice in general. Thank you so much for being such an inspiration. Love your videos!
Sheesh I just came for advice didn’t expect to fall in love, the host is super pretty
I feel so intimidated by the “adult world” but this helped. I even took a finance class to prepare myself for the future but even still, it’s stressful. This vid definitely eased my nerves.
Straight to the point! I love it! ❤️👌🏼👌🏼 Thank you for making this video.
now THIS is the type of content i want to watch 💛
I feel like the faster you accept responsibility is the faster you become an adult no matter what age you are. I swear I became the most happy when I became self sufficient. There’s nothing more fulfilling then listening to your self and supporting yourself. I recently just did a video on the same topic pretty sure y’all will like it. Much love ❤️
I love you for these type of videos! ❤️ Please show us how you use google calendar!! Im a big fan of writing everything down on a agenda but having it on my phone would be great!
I love these types of videos!!! Thank you
Such a helpful and well rounded video! Thank you for all the tips! 💕
I love the time and effort you put into your channel! Thank you so much for uploading this ❣️
I loved this video! I'm only in community college rn but I'm going to university soon and I feel like these tips will help me. I would like to see a video of your budgeting and your Google calendar.
I love this video because I'm starting to think about being financially independent from my parents (junior in college). I work part time minimum wage and it is soooo stressful having to think about my current financial responsibilities (rent, food, getting a car, etc) and this video really helped me :)
love this video! you're such an inspiration!!
yess to google calendar video!!
This video was super helpful!! I just started my first job after graduating college and really needed these tips!!! Thanks girl 😊
I really needed this!. Thank you Natalie
Love this it was so helpful!! What credit cards do you recommend besides the American airlines one?

i love this girl even if i am a thousand miles away from her and being asian, i really do love watching her. keep it up, you inspire alot of people even if we have different culture💕💕💕💕
Great video!! Thanks for sharing your tips. 👍🏼
Could you possibly make a video about tips for starting your own business and how to budget for it? 😊
Thanks for making this video! It would be really great if you could make separate videos for all the things you mentioned, so that you can go into more detail about each. It's a lot! Lol but I would watch them!
Rent depends on where you live. Cost of living in Australia is generally 40-50% of a salary
Volunteering can help start out your resume and get a feel for having a job without all the pressure, if that's a good option for you personally. It's probably easier to get hired that way too and not have to do all that extra hustle.
Love this video! You should make more how to adult 101 videos
Amazing tips! Thank you for this video!
Great video Natalie! Can you put links to your necklaces? They are so pretty ❤️
wow this is the video i didnt even know I needed!
i am from kazakhstan and tbh it really bothers me that credit card is so important in states cause in my country almost no one uses credit card

Melanie Rey you got this sis!!
omg how do u handle a full time job and school?? Goals lol
It’s crazy that school doesn’t teach us this stuff!!! They need extra classes in high school and college for this!
love this video! so helpful ❤️
Can u please do a room tour with all accessories how u have arranged pleaseeee
Excel is the way to go!
Omg thank you I needed this! 💕
20-30% on rent would be nice lol but when you live in NYC or DC it simply isn't possible, unless you want a super inconvenient location- be prepared to spend 40-50%. So not necessarily stupid when you want to live in a certain city to achieve your dreams!
Yeah like I said, it isn’t possible for a lot of people but if you can help it then try to stick to 20-30%. I’m moving to nyc so I know the struggle of how expensive finding a place will be
kalman filtering for budget - clever!
