Which just shows how bad on the mic the people today are. Jarrett was always total crap on the microphone (Just listen to his horrendous promo on his WWF return in 1997, no wonder the crowd booed him out of the building). The one-eyed has become the king among the blind.
I actually think Jarrett has always been better as a babyface ! Showing genuine emotion like he did is what AEW is lacking in general…
And.....Adam "Hangman" Page defeated Jeff Jarrett in the Owen Hart tournament, on the July 3, 2024 edition of AEW Dynamite. SMH. Jeff Jarrett should just revive HIS Global Force Wrestling promotion, and partner up with Major League Wrestling owner Court Bauer, Border City Wrestling owner Scott D'Amore and the owners of the recently merged Progress Wrestling + DEFY Wrestling.

Surprisingly, despite Jarrett being known better as a heel, I've always preferred him as a babyface, I really liked it when he returned in 2007 as a face and I enjoyed his face run against Angle in TNA.
Dutch is still one of the best minds in the wrestling business.
If they really want to honor Hart’s memory, they should frame these matches like fights and not as spotfests. It’s all about the fight, how it got to that place, and what happens afterwards.
That’s the best possible way AEW could honor the memory of Owen Hart.
He lost his wife and found Kurt Angle's wife.

Glad Dutch brought up the first TNA show. I was there. 2002 in Huntsville, AL. A couple weeks prior Jeff was half a mile from my house doing a radio show to promote it. Nice guy.

Toby was in around the 2010's until the Carters said yes we are interested but without Jarret. Toby just walked away from them on a golf course like the busters they are,
Jeff's one of the true nicest guys in the business I've said for years. Look at the night it happened, and he was told seconds before he was to do a promo as he had the next match after Owen fell. The emotion you could tell he knew it was bad. Went into deep depression for years afterwards
Jarrett's promo was the best he ever did and if he doesn't win fuck AEW. I'm not saying he needs to win the world title. However winning the Owen Classic he deserves it just on that promo alone. What is wrong with AEW is right there. When you give the vets time to do shit. They make story. They make you invest into them. Jeff instantly became a big baby face with this.

@@kyleday5026 ICW always wants to shit on people. I'm not even a Jeff fan. I got respect for him though. This was showing experience, this showed humility, he was showing real emotion and it connects to Owen his dead wife ect. He brought his A game because this wasn't a hard promo to set up but an impossible one to do. Why I say that because it is easy I'm gonna spill my heart to you. That is so hard to do so much harder than people realize. That is why this made him a baby face. This is why it made me say he has to win because it isn't just about Jeff. It is about his connection to Owen.
@@kyleday5026 Yes Jeff showed he's top talent in AEW period. Again I'm not saying he needs to win the title no not at all. A tournament named after one of his best friends in the world. Where he watched him die. That is a total other level of storytelling.
Thats how you cut a promo. Like the other wrestlers who try to use their personal traumas such as concussions worked into angles sound so full of shit in comparison because its hard to relate to someone feeling sorry for themselves for choosing to do stunts that every veteran they are too clever to listen to warns them against.
