Barge hits bridge connecting Galveston and Pelican Island, causing partial collapse and oil spill

A barge carrying up to 30,000 gallons of oil smashed into a bridge outside Galveston. partially collapsing the bridge. Oil spilled into the intercoastal waterway, and the only access to a small island just north of Pelican island remains cut off to most traffic.
