I've put a card of the complete build in the beginning of each of these individual parts, so if RUclips recommended this video to you, but you haven't seen the full build video, watch that instead, as it's the full thing start to finish.
Nice restoration proofing job!
this guzzi has the smartest oil drain plug I've ever seen. nice
And here we go, Nice start to another ambitious project.
Indeed!
Thank God you’re back. This one is going to be really good.
It doesn't matter what kind of build he does it's always awesome. Especially older japanese motorcycles.
Thanks
These videos are ASMR to me
Good style. Good tools. Good ideas.
Thanks 👍
I absolutely love your videos brother. Keep em coming.
Really enjoy watching your video’s! Can’t wait for the next update! Thanks for sharing 👍
Thanks for watching!
Wow, exiting new build....cant wait long enough...you know, ...your editing is awsome!!! Thank you!!
Thank you so much 🤗
Twin TURBO!!! WHAT THE?!?!?! I'm in!!! Been wanting to do this on an old BMW boxer! Good luck on the Guzi! Can't wait to see it go. Maybe I'll see ya on the roads out here in AZ.
Haha thanks. And maybe ya will. I ride my XS650 (the bratstyle build on this channel) 3-4 days a week, wouldn't be shocked if we ever crossed paths. Say what's up! I'm in the west valley.
@@DoctorMotorcycle I'll keep my eye out for ya Doc. Keep the rubber side down and the videos coming of the project! I'm in downtown Phx but work out in Goodyear, paths might cross✌️
Wow that's a cool project ! I hope so much it will work well so I might consider to install a turbo on the Guzzi Nevada I'm working on. Can't wait to see next episode, have a good one
Nice to see a new project on the table , and i see twin turbo mentioned 😁😁 good lad 🤘🤘🤘
Thank God your back
Then I seen twin turbo 😍😍😍
Yessirr
Perfect bike, I ❤️ Moto Guzzy ✌️
Mantapp ❤️👍
Nice tank
I was waiting so patiently for this one and still missed it somehow!
That battery looked HUGE
Lol I know it was. Practically a car battery
Tamsak done bro, nice sharinf this cool video very interesting & informative. Keep it up!
Love you bro
Nice idea and good to see someone's being different. You would need two teeny turbos on something that small in order to generate useable pressure. I run small TD04 units on 1052cc Suzuki 4 pot motors and useable boost is around 4250rpm. That would rev its sack off and just about spin the shafts with two.
I originally had a single gt15 on my gs400 turbo build (draw-through), and initially couldn't get it to work. I swapped to a vz21 and still couldn't get it to work. What I realized by accident one time during the test/tune phase, was that I wasn't revving the bike up high enough to hit boost. It doesn't hit full boost until 9k or so in second, and not having a tach made me think I was revving it way too high already.
I threw the original tach/cable on it only to realize I'd only been taking it out to 8k. Knowing what I know now, I could've gotten the gt15 to work IMO, the intial carb setup I had (HSR42) was just way too big. That was my gut instinct the whole time, but I foolishly ignored it and tried to stick with the HSR with the vz21 and it didn't work work/make boost either. Intalled the VM30 with thunderjet and it's been great. I've even hit 20PSI on it for a few pulls. Part's 5-10 of that build cover this, and the Desert ride video show the acceleration pulls. -Jimmy
@@DoctorMotorcycle It's all about learning and figuring things out. I ran a HSR 45 pull through with a Garrett airesearch unit that was huge. It made power but only up high and when I changed gear, I had to "wind" the unit up all over again! Keep the good work. I am on Instagram @kai9345 if you ever need a second opinion. I'm not an expert but I have built pull through and pressure carb systems on my own. 😎
I’m fixing a Guzzi too, not sure weather to put a turbo or not xD maybe u will inspire me
Nice!
WoW! 😱
Was this bike in a structure fire?
Or did the gauges melt in the desert sun?
@Doctor Motorcycle - I need your motorcycle medical opinion....I have a 1985 Yamaha XJ700 Maxim with a stock air box. If I properly follow Dynojet jet kit instructions and use a quality pod filter like K&N pods.....Can the bike be made to run as good as stock or better?....Many people say it'll NEVER run right without the stock air box....Dynojet supposedly makes jet/carb modifications for each specific bike and tests them, so I can't see them staying in business/selling lots of jet kits if they make the bikes run like crap.
Don't use K&N's, use UNI pod filters. And to some extent people are right, it won't ever run "perfect" but you could get it close enough. It will gain a little HP up top, and lose a little torque down low. Dynojet kit is not necessary, just richen the needles 1 clip, and bump up the pilot jet 1 step (2.5 is 1 step for Mikuni's), same with the main jet.
@@DoctorMotorcycle I notice the Dynojet & Sigma kits ground the needles down a bit to a blunt shape and also drill a hole in each slide piston...I take it this will help it run better but isn't 100% needed or either just a gimmick to justify the $100 price tag?
If a person knew the drill bit size and length of the ground needle, they could DIY that also. They tell you to move the clips so I'm thinking they just blunted the needle tips without taking much length off.
I read that back the 1980's Harley Davidson being scared of it's competition had lobbied (paid off) congress to force Japan to purposely de-tune several bikes headed to the USA market. The 85 xj700 being one of them, I'm curious how they de-tuned them. If they were de-tuned before or after being built, maybe just used slightly smaller valve shims in the bikes headed to USA so they didn't breathe as well?
As long as the pistons didn't smack the valves, couldn't bigger shims be used for HP increase?
I wish I knew how it was de-tuned so I could re-tune....So many questions LOL.
@@michaelbrinks8089 Doubtful they would change the valve lash (at least that way) as putting in a smaller shim would just make the valvetrain noisy. Changing the lash a few thousandths isn't going to make a noticeable impact on power. The XJ700 still put out a healthy 86hp, which is on par with a liquid cooled MT07. The compression is almost 10:1 as well. If Yamaha Detuned it, they didn't take out much power. Over 1hp per 10cc is pretty uncommon on an air cooled bike that old.
Most tuners are against drilling the slides out, I've never needed to do it personally. If the needles aren't adjustable, just use small shims to raise the height of the needles (enrichen) the mixture.
@@DoctorMotorcycle I forgot that using a smaller shim would create valve noise.... Thanks again for the reply/info
That was so enjoyable that I watched it twice. What tank is that?
Thanks, it's a Benelli Mojave tank. I've always wanted to use one on the build, but all the bike's I build in the past didn't have the right lines to pull it off.
wheres pt 2
Right after part one.
What tank is that? Looks great, im working on my v35 now.
Benelli Mojave

Terra Tombada
Chitãozinho & Xororó
Composição: Carlos Cezar / José Fortuna
É calor de mês de agosto
É meados de estação
Vejo sobras de queimadas
E fumaça no espigão
Lavrador tombando terra
Dá de longe a impressão
De losângulos cor de sangue
Desenhados pelo chão
Terra tombada é promessa
De um futuro que se espelha
No quarto verde dos campos
A grande cama vermelha
Onde o farto das sementes
Faz brotar de suas covas
O fruto da natureza
Cheirando a criança nova
Terra tombada
Solo sagrado, chão quente
Esperando que a semente
Venha lhe cobrir de flor
Também minh'alma
Ansiosa, espera confiante
Que em meu peito você plante
A semente do amor
Terra tombada é criança
Deitada num berço verde
Com a boca aberta pedindo
Para o céu matar-lhe a sede
Lá na fonte, ao pé da serra
É o seio do sertão
A água, leite da terra
Alimenta a plantação
O vermelho se faz verde
Vem o botão, vem a flor
Depois da flor, a semente
O pão do trabalhador
Debaixo das folhas mortas
A terra dorme segura
Pois nos dará para o ano
Novo parto de fartura
Terra tombada
Solo sagrado, chão quente
Esperando que a semente
Venha lhe cobrir de flor
Também minh'alma
Ansiosa, espera confiante
Que em meu peito você plante
A semente do amor
Também minh'alma
Ansiosa, espera confiante
Que em meu peito você plante
A semente do amor
20 people don't like this vid, they must be purists. I too have just upset some by taking all the tags off a 3HE, there are far too many standard ones about lets put some new genes in the pool. Is that a tank off an XS it looks kind of similar, & we have the same working style "Fugk it twice, cut once". I'm currently working through your back catalog, but I'm really interested to see how this turned out. Best of luck my friend.
Yeah it's whatever, I became numb to negative comments after reading a few hundred of them. There's only so many ways you can trash what I can do, and IMO none of them are offensive to me. That's why you'll notice I don't even respond to those, cause I genuinely pay them no mind. Dislikes help the videos out too, so it's ironic that even though they dislike what I do, they don't mind helping me out.
Hope you enjoy the older videos, You'll notice that prior to the '72 Kawasaki Scrambler build everything was timelapsed. I stopped doing that because that style was getting stale to me, and it takes so much memory to record EVERYTHING and speed it up.
@@DoctorMotorcycle I like your style, I to have the "Superpower" to ignore those that trash my shit, my response to those that don't like what I build, don't fugkin buy it, that said, I am running out of orders, I've nearly got enough to keep me going till next year(haha). Build what you want to build, if others don't like it, they don't have to watch, I'm pretty sure there are plenty that will, I mean fugk, you even have me thinking about building a turbo.
