Just turned 20 last month and I agree 100% with Matt rn I bought the bench press Manuel bc my bench sucks but I also bought the Westside book of methods to read and learn about conjugate which I decided to do after watching the table talk with Dave Tate and Matt I think another thing too is learning to be patient in the long run especially when everything I do in the gym can give me gains, great advice Matt 👍👍
Matt, I am a fairly inexperienced 22 year old powerlifter. I am about to start my Masters degree in a couple months. This video was really eye-opening for me. Thank you.
I love the advice! I m 23 years old and I m on my first year of college (nutrition) not only because I was interested in the science behind Training and nutrition but the long term thinking process I want to express as I get older. It makes feel tired busting my ass for others for money just to survive.
@@WenningStrength i would like to ask as a 5'10 person wolud you mind giving me a goal on how big i should get to look mascular should i aim 18 inch arms,55 inch chest I feel like i am suffering from bigrexia and would like a goal number to have a goal
@@ajithsidhu7183 I am also 5'10 too. Something like 82kg, 180lbs, 15 inch arms, 45 inch chest and 24 inch legs with ~30-32 inch waist is a good starting point. Measure progress slowly over time, take photos, and you will realise that you can look awesome without 18 inch arms and a 55 inch chest.
Similarly to you don't trust every strong guy you meet, you don't trust every guy who has been doing something for 20+ years. I've met plenty of machinists who have been doing it since the 90s that are straight up terrible. Always take advice with a grain of salt, but the size of the grain should depend on the source's credentials. If they're a multi world record holder who has been doing it for decades...the grain is pretty fucking small
I saw some stuff from the movie Bigger Faster Stronger in the video..... Six months from now I could be still living in the van but as long as I can bench squat and deadlift more than others in the gym- then who's the king?
To me it is probably to stay away from the conventional deadlift as much as possible, not overtrain it and only do it heavy like every 3 weeks. You have no idea how much I would love to be 25 again but with the mindset of the 34 year old me lol
For anyone trying to start a business or find where to invest you have to study macroeconomics and trends and then try to predict future trends. I say this because so many people want to start businesses or whatever but their lost in a sea of motivational crap which is good to get you going but it doesn't lead really anywhere just hoorah crap. Some RUclipsrs I would recommend Peter Schiff, Gregory mannarino, and economic ninja. economic ninja is the most spot on and easiest to understand.
Damn I respect your commitment to putting the work in especially in your 20s.
