So that's how you eat a cupcake with 5cm of frosting.. cut in half and go in from the side, good to know :D I love the biscuit base on this, looks delicious!
Made these and everybody loved them. These cupcakes are just so so so yummy 💜 Can't wait to try the real thing, when I come to London later this year ☺️ Thx for the recipe, Jemma 😊
Jemma, all your recipes are amazing! It's so incredible to be able to grab a recipe off RUclips and have it just WORK. Please keep uploading all your incredible stuff, and please give a heads up as to whether or not The Cake Book is still available anywhere?
Hello Jemma :D! Just wanted to thank you for the wonderful recipes you've given us thus far. I wanted to know if you could do a Italian limoncello sponge cake with mascarpone frosting sometime in the future? I don't think other tubers have done it justice yet. Thanks for reading this. :D BTW, the idea of adding chocolate bisquit to the bottom is quite a brilliant idea, I would have never thought of that before till seeing this video. :)
Top quality jam too... they used to do a four fruits one... but i cant find it in the UK. last place i managed to buy it was when i was in australia for bit.
Hi Jemma! I'm a big fan of your cupcakes, I watch almost every recipe of yours and have noticed that you use Golden Syrup in many of your recipes but can you please suggest substitute for Golden Syrup as I don't think I'll be able to get it where I live in India. It'll be a big help. Thanks a lot for all those lovely recipes. Love You.
I love the way you can see the seeds in the buttercream! also in summer could you add strawberries or another fruit to the top because I think strawberries or rasberries would look cute!
Hi Jemma I so love your videos even my 3 year old boy loves watching you. Anyway just 1 question the oven temperature that you use whenever baking is it for fan forced oven? Correct me if I am wrong because as far as I know I was told that when using fan forced oven, temperature should always be 10deg lower.
I need to stop watching & start learning how to make these yummy cupcakes. Looks pretty simple to do. I'm running out of napkins, wiping the drools on my shirt. 😜😁. As always, love your video.
What a tasteful recipe...thanks. I do have a question out of interest about the baking soda..since the recipe is with self raising flour? I noticed this in a lot of your recipes.(which I like)..some bakers though say that baking soda only works with buttermilk or vinegar. Hope you can give me an A tot my Q😆👍
I actually love making a marscapone frosting. I use my base FAUX Clotted Cream recipe ( my most viewed RUclips video) then I just add whatever extract I want for my cake and 3 tablespoons of powdered sugar.
i love it when we get to see your tattoos! you remind me so much of noel wells from snl (and master of none on netflix which is AMAZING) also- is all vanilla extract in the uk so thick? it looks incredible.
Jemma I've tried your recipe and I think the cupcake is really good. But for me the buttercream is too sweet, if I reduce the icing sugar will it be okay?
what's a golden syrup? i don't know if we have it in my country (philippines), haven't seen one in grocery stores. is there any alternative for this? thank you!
Hi Jemma! is there any reason you use the all in one method when you bake your cakes or is it just for ease in the video? so many people say how important it is to cream the butter and sugar first and to not overmix the flour but wondering if it really makes a difference?
For my food technology course work I've decided to make vegetable cupcakes. I've decided on the flavours carrot and orange, beetroot and chocolate, courgette and lemon and sweet potato and salted caramel. (They sound disgusting but taste divine) the thing I'm really worried about is texture. They are so dense and heavy and although this is a classic characteristic of this kind of cake I'd like to make them lighter. What I am currently doing is creaming butter and sugar, adding combined egg and veg, putting in four and adjusting batter thickness with vanilla milk but they never have the right texture as far as I'm concerned. Any suggestions greatly revived Xx
Are you using a raising agent. Try adding both baking powder and bicarbonate into the mix. Or you could separate the eggs and whip the egg whites and gentle fold into the mixture this should help incorporate some air into the mix. Good luck 🍰
hi Jemma, thank for a great recipe. i have 1 question: in some recipe you beat the butter and sugar first then add flour, in this one you put all in one bowl, is there any differences between those 2 methods?
Hi Jemma, do you mind telling me what brand do you use for your Vanilla extract? I love how your extract has vanilla beans in it and would love to get one! Thanks Jemma :)
Do you have a recommendation for a couple of nozzles for a beginner to buy. After watching a few videos I thought I'd start with a big round and a star but they come in so many sizes
Love that you've stayed true to yourself and your baking philosophies even though your popularity has grown! You're the best!

Hi Jemma. Why the bicarbonate of soda in this recipe? Thanks for your lovely videos .... they are informative, short, sweet and simple .....
i love your tattoos jemma!
Jemma I've tried your recipe and I think the cupcake is really good. But for me the buttercream is too sweet, if I reduce the icing sugar will it be okay?
It might be more liquid but you can try
Reduce the Powdered sugar and try adding corn starch to stabilize lit without making it too sweet
Just when you think you've seen every CupcakeJemma video there is🤗
Not sure if you addressed this or not but the vanilla and milk aren't listed in the ingredients. Luckily I watched as I went so I didn't miss it ;)
So cute!
This is an amazing recipe!
Wow it looks very yummy thx for VDO
+CupcakeJemma OMG I was waiting for this recipe! 😊
Lovesss Afeera 😘
what's a golden syrup? i don't know if we have it in my country (philippines), haven't seen one in grocery stores. is there any alternative for this? thank you!

Strawberries are not hard to come by actually. you can find them in all supermarkets but they are not usually grown in Britain
They're hard to find when it's not strawberry season.
Mariana Faría no they are not
It's not fresh.
Yes they are,at least where I'm from
+Mariana Faría I mean when it's not in season, the strawberries you can find in supermarkets are usually not as fresh.
hi Jemma, thank for a great recipe. i have 1 question: in some recipe you beat the butter and sugar first then add flour, in this one you put all in one bowl, is there any differences between those 2 methods?
Hey Jemma, could you do Christmas related cupcake videos Please?
Jemma, what brand are your white cupcake cases? After testing loads, I've discovered some of them are pretty pants!

I can't. I just can't.😩😋🍦
Great recipe ☺
Ugh! I want one!
Love it.
Hi Jemma, I tried making it and find that the cookie base is a bit hard. Is it because of the golden syrup? Can we do without it?
ohh i was expecting cupcakes with neapolitan wafers :D not neapolitan ice cream. but they still look good!
U r so talented
hi Jemma!! I love your recipes!! But how can I soften my butter more faster than let it out of the fridge? :D maybe in the microvawe oven? thanks!
you can heat it lightly in the microwave, but not so long that it actually melts. Just put it in long enough to soften.
Jemma, pleaseee make a video of cinnamon rolls!
Lovely love love
Hi Jemma , just wondering where you buy your cupcake cases? I'm struggling to find any good ones :(
Do you have a recommendation for a couple of nozzles for a beginner to buy. After watching a few videos I thought I'd start with a big round and a star but they come in so many sizes
